Luka Vujeva: Supreme high end stake house! Amazing service and wine choice.
Salma Shawa: I loved the food and service. The attention to detail is immaculate. There are so many little things that make this place unlike any other. The decor, cleanliness, and friendly staff make this place really put together.
Brian: Ordered takeout last weekend and got two steaks(plus sides) one was supposed to be medium rare, the other supposed to be rare. Both steaks ended up being EXTREMELY rare.. I'm not someone who likes to call up and complain so we thought we could just cook the other steak a little bit more and would be fine.... Was not able to salvage the steak and ended up not being able to eat it, and was thrown away..... For $180 dollars worth of takeout I expected much better.... Really disappointed and probably will not be back.
Bianca Young: We came for a birthday dinner and just had a poor experience. Our server was fine but I found the options were just okay compared to some other steakhouses. Tartare was oily, ceaser salad and watery and flavorless, Cornish hen was dry and covered in butter without much flavor. My partner loved his streak, which I guess is the star of the show. Struck out with drinks 3 times all drinks were just eh teetering on unpalatable, but we ordered off menu. The dessert was good. Personally had a much better experience at Mooo in seaport. Preferred the ambiance and felt the food was better.
Michael Zeman: Awesome steaks, sides, and service. The side of flavored butter on steaks is a nice touch. The beer choices were small. How about a simple beer that most have heard of.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chocolate Cake …More

Omer Talu: Easily one of the best steakhouses in Boston. Beef Wellington recommended.
gabriella onessimo: Terrible service. Extremely rude and entitled. Never going back. This whole establishment is a stain on the Boston dining scene as far as I’m concerned.

Parker: Beyond amazing dinning experience here at Mooo... Our server Jenna rose was very efficient with service and our business partner & guest were exceptionally impressed. Carlos who was also looking after us was extremely good with attention to detail. We started off with the lobster bisque soup which is delicious.Midcourse we shared the Japanese wagyu beef dumplings and prime sirloin smoked tartare, both had perfect flavours.3 of the guest had the American wagyu cap steak which they said was the best cut of beef they have ever had to date.(highly recommend trying this steak if you come to Mooo..) I enjoyed the salmon dish which was served on a bed of celery root puree with fennel and was soo good! We also all enjoyed the "Moo flight" which was 4 shareable sides. (mashed potatoes, exotic mushrooms, creamed spinach and truffle fries)For desert even tho we were all too full we shared the creme brûlée & bananas foster, pure bliss. The specialty cocktail menu here is impressive and everyone spoke very highly of the cocktails they tried. The manager Maria came and introduced herself to the table and welcomed us all and said not to hesitate to ask for assistance with anything. Very pleasant woman! Thanks again Jenna Rose, Carlos, Maria & Mooo.. for hosting and making this such great and memorable dinning experience for us! looking forward to dinning here again!

Megan McCoy: Unfortunately I didn’t even get the chance to eat the food, when my party and I walked in (with reservations for my birthday dinner) NOT A SINGLE employee greeted, acknowledged or even smiled at us. We waited for 7+ minutes in awkward silence as employees looked directly at us then looked away. Eventually the hostess made it up to the front and told us our table would be ready in about 15 minutes. Due to the horrible entitled energy in here, I left. You would think with such an expensive menu they would have just as amazing customer service. But I guess if they don’t deem you worthy of their time then you won’t be paid any attention to.Do better.
Sean M: Dry aged and Wagyu are awesome steaks.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Japanese Wagyu Beef Dumplings …More
Sheila Barbas: The actual space was pleasant. The food wasn't worth our 600 dollar bill.I ordered a carrot dish and I laughed at the absurd huge unpeeled carrot. We also ordered a dish with a vegetable and we got 1 piece. It was laughable. I don't eat steak but those who ate it said it was typical of any steak house. The drinks were overpriced but fine. It was a birthday dinner and they gave us chocolate covered marshmallows. LolNeedless to say...I won't be returning.
Neil: A great experience tonight. The minute you walk in you are treated like royalty. The service is excellent and our meal was delicious. A high end restaurant but worth every penny.

Cindy Pury: I am currently sitting inside the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. I was part of a large crowd of hundreds of people who needed to evacuate the building due to a false alarm. As we were evacuating, and before it was clear that it was a false alarm, employees at the Hynes Center location prevented us from going out the easiest exit to access from where we were, going through their side door and out onto the street, and instead made all of us walk over a city block and down another flight of stairs in order to get to an accessible exit. Exit. This seems very much like a reckless to disregard for human life, and should this have been an actual emergency, I expect that you would have been sued by survivors. Do better.
Olivier David: Cuisine typiquement américaine. Super service !
Matthieu Giraud: We were 4, the Oysters, the Sushi-Grade Sesame Seared Tuna with Gingered rice, the bone-in-Kona were fantastic. We took a bottle of Jordan 2018, good pairing with the meat. The place is pleasant and not noisy.I will come back to this best in town steakhouse!
Connie Wocell: Came in from out of town for a birthday celebration, got dressed up and right from the teenagers seating us in the daycare room disappointed, we asked to be moved and the dining room was noisy , and no dress code at all . Food was good but atmosphere terrible and felt rushed . No Dress Code enforced at all.
Connie Toomey: Malik and Abel were fabulous. Great to see Abel as he was our favorite waiter at a previous restaurant many years ago! Also 2nd time Malik has waited on us. Utmost professional! We will be back and requesting our favorite waiters!
Eduart Lela: My wife and I are regulars here and we have always enjoyed the food and ambiance at capital grille Boston . Most importantly the service by Zack has always been excellent. We are sad to see him go and wish him good luck. We have been back twice since however and service was ok until yesterday when we met Grace. She is terrific also and very professional. We recommend Grace if you are able to request her for your dining experience, we had a wonderful lunch with her yesterday and I am sure you will too.

Megs R: I made reservations at the Capital Grille for my husband's 50th birthday. He wanted a great steak dinner and this exceeded our expectation. He started with the oysters. His porcine rubbed ribeye was cooked perfectly and he paired it with the Spinach. I had the Seabass and the sauce made it melt in your mouth. The pear and gorgonzola salad was also delicious. Molly and Jeff were our servers and their service alone made our meal so special. They were friendly and attentive. They recognized my husband's birthday with a card and glitter on the table and a fun dessert plate. We splurged and had a piece of coconut cream pie too which was so good. From drinks to dessert everything was perfect. Bring your appetite!
Tom Williams: Great food, great service, convenient location

Abe & Louie's: what do users think?
Harrison Ingham: I went here with my fiancé for her birthday dinner because what better than to take your significant other for a nice juicy steak. For years, she and I have been wanting to try a good wagyu closer to our area so I did some research which time and time again pointed me in the direction of Abe & Louie's of Boston Massachusetts so I made the right choice and put in the reservations in which I specified it was her birthday and her first TRUE STEAKHOUSE.After a week of anticipation and not telling her where we were going or what we were doing or why we have to drive to Boston the time had arisen and off to Boston we went. Once we arrived and I gave my name we were immediately treated like royalty and brought to the best 2 seat table in the house. Right in front of a fireplace overlooking the entire dining room and right by the kitchen. We ordered of course, two wagyu beef steaks one of which being the 12oz westholme NY strip from Australia and her order being a striploin from japan. Both were cooked to perfection along with our Brussel sprouts and whipped potatoes not to mention my French onion soup I started off with that was just simply incredible. It was all just so overwhelmingly good, but what really made my night complete was the fact that after not thinking they would do anything other then wish her happy birthday for a 7th time we were getting ready to ask for the bill when our waiter came around the corner with dessert plates and a giant hunk of chocolate cake and ice cream with a candle lit right in the center. To me this was as much of a shock as it was to her and the cherry on the top to a already great experience with perfectly cooked steaks and for all of these reasons on top of a excellent waiter I must give this place a 5/5 AND IS GREATLY RECOMMENDED.
Mark Capolupo: In Boston for business with unplanned stay over. Thought I would make the best of it and enjoy a great steak in my old neighbor hood—delicious as ever, steak cooked to perfection!Very busy and a little noisy, but the food is excellent. I definitely recommend.

David Costanza: Been to a lot of steak places and, in the end A&L was only OK. The main problem is that the steaks themselves, the reason for the place, were average. Nothing bad but nothing great. I've had a dozen or more better steaks in the past few years, often at a half to one quarter of the price. The service was fine but also less attentive than needed while also being more intrusive than necessary. What do I mean? The servers should not have to interrupt a conversation to ask which person gets which dish, especially at a 2-top.The best thing we got was the Brussel sprouts, truly excellent, and the decadent cookie dessert. The rest of the sides were OK as was the selection of by-the-glass wines. Nothing memorable. The prices were high but not out of range for this type of restaurant. That said, at the price we paid ($175/person), and if your main reason for being is steaks, the food and experience have to be superlative and at A&L, they were not.
Mountrell Sharpe: I had the PorterHouse Steak cooked to Perfection Awesome! What I failed to mention I also had the mashed potatoes with garlic and blue cheese A great combination. Never had a bad meal or a bad experience and you never know who you will see when you are here.Parking: You really have to valet or park it somewhere else. No real viable options for on street. Timothy Oliver: This was my first visit. I went with work colleagues for a business dinner with clients. The atmosphere is great. The service is stellar! They have an appetizer called the Seafood Tower which is very good for sharing with the entire table. The appetizer ribs were also quite good. I thought the steaks could use more seasoning. I got the ribeye with black garlic and umami rub. It could have been more flavorful but it was perfectly cooked (medium). I would absolutely visit this place again.
Shailesh: Condescending treatment by the Male Waiter last evening. He quickly removed all the wine glasses presuming we won’t order drinks; told us he’s been here for 15 years so will not confirm the order when asked; did not check in even once between how we were doing or if needed anything - we needed an extra plate for sharing food. Water was never refilled. Waiter handwrote ‘18% +’ on the printed check and explicitly told us it’d be the expected gratuity over the printed amount. This must be a good restaurant but everyone on our party of four felt ignored, unseen and unwelcome. We were celebrating a special occasion, my brother at the cusp of getting the Abbott World Major Marathons medal. I am surely not revisiting this place. If you look different, save your evening and go somewhere else.
Derek Sommers: It's a great restaurant. I always love to visit Smith& Wollensky. I will say I really enjoy the Wellesley location a lot more. Sunny Vang: Went to this steak house excited to eat some good steak. We got a 10 oz fillet and a 26 oz dry aged ribeye with bone-in along with the truffle Mac and cheese.Ill start with the good things:The service was really good. Our waiter was very accommodating and filled our waters often. She also recommended some really good red wines (which I highly recommend the “Justin” for you red wine drinkers). It may have been one of the better Cabernet’s I’ve tasted personally. Overall, she was great and provided us with good customer service.Moving to the meh/negative parts:For a $65 filet mignon, I was expecting better. We asked for medium rare but got medium well instead. If the filet wasn’t already tender (due to the cut of the cow) and the fact that it was still somewhat juicy for a medium well steak, it would’ve been sent back. Because of its price, I was expecting it to be cooked better or at least not so well done. Only the very center was pink which means there was a pretty large grey band (more than I expected for a medium rare). 6/10 experience because of the overcooked steak. For the $98 dry-aged ribeye, I was also expecting better. When it was sent out the first time around, it had a good crust/sear. However, when I cut into it, it was definitely medium-well. As I mentioned above, if it was cheaper, I would’ve dealt with it and never come back but this was a $98 steak so I had to send it back into the kitchen to get a “medium rare” steak. I’m grateful they took it back and provided me with another steak. Excited for the next steak but also suspicious due to how fast it came out, I was disappointed with a “rare” steak when I clearly wanted “medium rare”. At this point, I figured I’d at least be able to eat the steak however I definitely didn’t enjoy it as much as I would have wanted to if it was cooked correctly. There was a portion of the steak that was still noticeably slightly cold which is a clear sign and red flag that it was rare aaaaanndd the steak was pretty chewy (in a raw way). Call me a baby for not enjoying a rare steak, but I prefer not to eat a live cow. Just not my cup of tea. To be fair, they did sear it correctly so there was a small grey band, but the heat/warmth definitely didn’t penetrate all the way to the center of the steak for a portion of the steak. This is my second time trying a dry-aged steak, but I still haven’t been able to taste the “dry-aged flavor” that so many covet when eating high quality steaks like this. I would rate this steak a 6/10. Perhaps I just don’t know what to look for or maybe this steak just wasn’t dry aged long enough for it to make a difference in its flavor. I’ll never know. Anyways, to the next item!Truffle Mac n cheese:It had a lot of potential. The truffle oil used in this Mac n cheese was really good and paired super well with the cheese used, but it was just too salty. I naturally enjoy eating more savory/salty foods but this was even too salty for me which is a bummer. Probably like a 6/10 because of how salty it was, but the cheese and truffle oil from it was definitely what stood out the most. I imagine, under normal circumstances, it is actually really tasty.Complimentary bread and butter:It had a really soft center but the outer crust and bread near the crust was pretty dry. Butter couldn’t save this one for me. It was “free” so it’s not too big of a deal.Under cheaper circumstances, I would’ve dealt with it, but these were not cheap steaks which led to this critical review. I was just expecting more for such an expensive steak and high-end steakhouse. The customer service and good wine definitely saved this rating from being lower. In summary, I was just hoping for better when coming to this location. This experience may have just been a stroke of bad luck on my end on this day, but I still can’t justify the price I paid for the quality of food that I got.

Trayll Roseberger: A year ago, in Cancun, I was eating a tomahawk steak, and some old guy walked up and said if he was going to get one, he'd have it at Smith and Wollensky. I simmered on it for months, because it was incredibly rude, but I figured I'd give it a shot, just to see. Best steak I have ever eaten, honestly. Excellent. My wife's filet mignon was perfect, and she really savored it, despite steak not being her usual choice. Excellent.

Gabriella: Ambiance was loud and crowded. Service was pretty timely. I would definitely recommend the Roasted Asparagus, Tagliatelle Cacio e Pepe, and French Onion Soup. I was disappointed by the steak in the Steak Frites, which was severely lacking seasoning and was surprised by the poor quality given that it is a steakhouse. However, the parmesan frites in the Steak Frites were delicious.
max radbill: As a former chef, it's one of my passions to try the best restaurants around. For all my years of living in Boston I never got around to trying the famous Grill 23. It truly was a let down. I have never rated any restaurants on Google but I had to say something. While we got seated quickly on a busy Saturday night, it took over 40 minutes for someone to pay attention to us ( not our waiter). Our waiter was too busy paying attention to the table of 10 next to us. We ordered drinks in the first 40 minutes. Finally, our waiter came to us after but was in such a hurry interrupted our order to run to the table behind us.When he did come back he swore at my brothers selection as if we weren't in a fine dining restaurant and we were his buddies. Then telling my brother he was essentially wrong for wanting to order what he did. He was completely inattentive the rest of the night. I had to stop him from running by me just to order another drink. He didn't want to stop but I essentially had to tell him out right that we are his table to.When the food finally arrived an hour later, 3 of 4 of our steaks were cooked improperly. My brother sent his back only to receive it overcooked. He didn't want to deal with it again. A steakhouse with the reputation this place has, I expect top notch service and THE best quality steaks and cooking ability. Neither were demonstrated. We ordered five sides and none of them were better than a 6 on a scale of 1-10, 10 being amazing. It took me a long time to decide to write this but I couldn't let it go.I am sure there are reasons for the overall lack of quality service, food, and skill in cooking/recipe design but when you have the reputation and charge the prices they do, I expect the absolute best.
Chris Sluyter: What’s life without a little risk? For me, it’s a vomitless night where I didn’t eat beef tartare at Grill 23 & Bar. There’s a certain level of said risk when you eat raw beef, so it’s 33% on me, but this trip to Grill 23 left me hugging the toilet in the middle of the night. I’m the only one in a large group that ate it so that was definitely the culprit. Eat the steak, stay away from the beef tartare.

Strega Italiano Back Bay: what do users think?
Joseph Atie: Last night, we were a group of five at Strega Italiano for what we had hoped would be a memorable dining experience. Unfortunately, the evening turned out to be memorable for all the wrong reasons. We started our meal with the Milanese, which we were eager to try based on the recommendations we had received. Sadly, it was one of the worst Milanese dishes we have ever tasted. However, the true low point of the evening was when I decided to order the cod fish. Not only was the dish far from tasty, but it also resulted in a severe case of food poisoning. I spent a terrible night dealing with the consequences of consuming the poorly prepared dish, which was a considerable disappointment considering our expectations for the restaurant. As if the poor food quality wasn't enough, the total for our meal, including tips, came to $690. For this price, we certainly expected a higher standard of food and overall quality from Strega Italiano

Eran Rippel: Dish quality and size far from justifying the high prices.

Daniel Teller: This place was okay. It was extremely loud inside, and the food and drinks were just alright. I ordered the Rigatoni Bolognese and it was just okay. Nothing special about it. Everything was way over priced for the quality of food and the experience. I've had way better meals at less fancy places in Boston. I can't really recommend this place to anyone.
Alex T.: Food: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5More
Nora Anderson: Great modern atmosphere and cozy booths! The food was great, especially the dessert. It is expensive but worth it! I'd recommend going a little earlier if you have a large party. I was staying with the Boston Park plaza and it was very easy to get in from the hotel lobby.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Chocolate Cake, Burrata …More
Monica Arevalo: Cozy and romantic spot for date night! Server Steve was really nice! Good food!
Cameron Werning: Inexperienced bartenders. Lackluster service. Poor ambience. I won’t be back.

Gabriela Rodriguez: We waited more than an hour and a half for food. It never arrived so we left. The manager and staff were visually arguing with each other.
Aleah Fine: Popped in for a Negroni and was asked if I wanted the barrel aged…you love to see it! Excellent drink on a king cube. Pleasantly surprised:)

Flordeliza Howard: Be sure to get the lobster ravioli, the meatballs and the short rib gnocchi!
Logan Reign Altavilla: Go to Maggiano’s Little Italy. Do not support this restaurant; they discriminate against service dog handlers.Man at hostesses stand claimed to be the acting manager denied me access after looking me up and down. He claimed only seeing eye guide service dogs are allowed, which is discrimination and illegal. I tried explaining this to the staff memember and he was rude and stuck up.This occurance took place on my birthday after flying from Miami to Boston and visting multiple restaurants & attractions without issue. Fortunately we went around the corner and found. Maggiano’s Little Italy which was an absolute delight with awesome food. I felt like I was at Nonna’s house.@Strega— I would educate your staff on the ADA laws before you have an impending lawsuit, if you don’t have one already.
David Crafts: I don’t usually write reviews, and I’ve been to the seaport location and have had an excellent experience but this location really let me and my girlfriend down. Firstly, the atmosphere was nice but it didn’t feel like an occasion. We got water once seated, but no one came to take our drink order for 15+ minutes. Once we were greeted by our server he was polite and catered to our needs. While ordering drinks we ordered appetizers, the Arancini’s were spectacular but the cesar salad just tasted like a Cesar salad I could make at home. Upon ordering dinner, we got our food within 10 minutes, which is quick but too quick. Paying high prices for dinner, you would expect an entree to take decent amount of time. Our main courses, which honestly felt microwaved, they were warm but not hot and honestly could have make them at home. If I’m paying $30+ for an entree I expect more than I got. The drinks were good and strong, and the crème brulee was a great dessert. Overall we were disappointed, we came to celebrate a late Valentine’s Day and while we left full, we were not satisfied and will not be returning. We would rather go to Davio’s in the north end and spend a few more dollars to leave satisfied and felt like we had an occasion. We will not be returning to this location or the seaport location.

Marcus 03: The Lobster Gnocchi were delicious! Long Island Duck was also good.
Celeste De Palma: 5 stars all around for this fantastic spot!!! I can't say enough nice things about Deuxave. I told staff we were celebrating my husband's birthday, and they gave us a very intimate table that really made the evening all the more special. Everyone wished my husband happy birthday and pampered us with a complimentary appetizer, courtesy of the chef that went perfectly with the duck liver pattè we selected. We enjoyed every morsel and sipped our cocktails to the last drop.We had the Long Island duck breast, and it was the best duck we've had in town. Also, note that the portions are super generous - a nice surprise, given how good it was! I tried their flirty lychee fiz, and it was as fun as it sounds. The dishes were cleverly plated and made the experience so much fun, on top of everything being absolutely delicious.Thank you, thank you, thank you for being such gracious hosts!! We will be back.

Alex Maiella: Celebrated our 4 year anniversary at Deuxave and had one of the most wonderful dining experiences thanks in large part to our fantastic waiter, Wesley.Wesley was not only funny, and attentive but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu and wine list. His experience in the industry was incredibly apparent as he told us the history of the dishes we very much enjoyed and where each ingredient originated. As for the food, between the Lobster, Duck, and Tuna, there is no way that we could decide on our favorite. Similarly to our appetizers and entree choices, we took Wesley’s drink suggestion for our choice of wine with dinner, and then port to go with the fresh and creamy crème brûlée. We cannot believe that this restaurant does not have a several week waitlist. I am grateful to have found Deuxave though because we will definitely be returning with friends and family on Thursday or Friday to dine with Wesley again.

oh socute: We went there for our anniversary and we weren't impressed. Food was OK and not things wow except the price. We expected more flavorful taste compared to what we pay for. They charged every thing including Bread!!!Food: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Matthew Donahue: Great food for a good price
Kenneth Lutchen: Arrived from Boston University with a faculty candidate with a party of 6 for a 6PM reservation and was seated immediately. Most of rest of restaurant was empty. Asked if we wanted bread which we did, and they gave each guest 2 slices on a plate and we later found out there was a $3 per person for this. Took our dinner orders by 6:20 or so. Main dishes did not come out until....are you ready......8:20. One of our party had to leave before his main dish arrived. We kept asking when the main meals would arrived and got same answer each time...."a few minutes". This was a staple restaurant for me as a Dean at BU to take guests to, even throughout the pandemic. Now we will likely not return as there are so many other choices.
