Siyi Lin: Affordable, high-quality AYCE shabu shabu (~25 per person on weekdays? I think?) Caveat is that meat is not included, but it's not too pricey to buy as an add-on (~6 dollars per serving). There is a plethora of vegetables, mushrooms, and fish ball/tofu-esque products. They also have the most (colorful) and extensive selection of rice cake/noodles I've ever seen. Also the soft serve is great and it's included in the AYCE. Broth is flavorful, sauce bar is well-stocked. There's a 90 minute limit and they are pretty strict about it (because they're always busy). The wait can get quite long during popular hours and friday/weekends. Do Yunkyung: Overall the all you can eat experience was great. I especially enjoyed the wide selection of vegetables, noodles and fishcakes. The serving staff were also friendly. I took out one star because of a couple of things. The greeter lady was not very friendly explaining the 3-5pm closing time on the weekend. The table cleaning staff’s stacking dishes was quite noisy and disturbing to other guests around that were still dining.

Faty Badawi: I changed my review from 5 years ago down from 5 stars to 1 because of how rude the staff is, and the low quality the food has become. Ahmed El Zanfaly: Has fallen off a major cliff! Food quality is not what it used to be 5-6 years ago. Servers are so rude and aggressive, it's like they don't want you to be there. Took over an hour to get our food and everything was falling out like the chef didn't even bother to roll anything. When we complained about how long it's taking, our server did not care and just walks away rudely. Never coming back

To make matters worse, they charged an extra $1.5 for each “special roll” on top of the AYCE price (see the Special Snow Mountain roll which only has 2 ingredients)! Unbelievable!The food was downright bad! Thick, greasy coating on fried items, and tiny portions! AMAZING amount of eel in a eel-avocado Maki! The service was atrocious – slow, and they even intentionally missed items we ordered!To top it all off, street parking near the restaurant was nearly impossible to find! Totally not worth the time. Son Ngo: A decent all-you-can-eat sushi place in the city. Its dinner price has increased to $32.99 per person, and tips are included in the bill, so be careful not to over pay (that happened to us which is frustrating). Service can be slow on crowded days, but generally the staff will do the bare minimum to assist you.As for the food, everything tastes decent. I do like their appetizers, particularly the grilled teriyaki salmon and steak. The sashimi tasted fresh, though a bit cold. The rolls taste decently too but the special rolls cost an extra $1.5 per roll, which is pricey imo.I do like the place for their AYCE option and the space is big enough for big groups. Though the lighting can be brighter and it could be cleaned up a bit as there are a lot of random stuff lying in the corner.
Eduardo Dager: The reason for my low review is the hostess at the entrance who was extremely rude to us. She was annoyed because we asked if we could sit together and not split in 2 tables, she did not speak to us but almost yelled, and she showed she has no interest whatsoever in providing a good customer service. It is a pity to see one person, and specially the person who fist greets you, generate such a bad first impression and damage the overall dining experience.Having said the above, The food was OK although somehow expensive for the quality. Jeff Klein: You might walk in and think that you made a mistake getting sushi from such a bland looking restaurant. You would be wrong. The sushi, made immediately to order and brought out on large platters, is actually shockingly good. They don't pad the rolls down with absurd amounts of rice, and the variety is outstanding.I personally think the lunch is a better deal than the dinner-- I don't find I miss the dinner options and it doesn't feel like there's $10 more in value for them. Regardless, you should order a reasonable amount to start and then just keep on ordering more if you're hungry.It's a treat to try so many rolls without that fear of the impending bill that you sometimes have at sushi places. You know right away what you're paying, and you get to try all sorts of rolls. The rainbow roll is a favorite of mine.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dumplings and sushi options.Kid-friendliness: The prices for kids are reasonable. Half price for anyone under 4-5 feet tall, 1/4 price for anyone 3-4 feet tall, and free under 3 feet! It's an odd system, but it works. They have a wall with a ruler.

K Y: Hands down our favorite family place to eat. All you can eat sushi and hot foods. Everything is made to order. Hot selection is somewhat limited, but certainly not disappointing. Apps, soups, and protein dishes. Sushi is legit. They do NOT use an inferior sushi grade for their fish. This is very important. Most other places sacrifice in this area. Basically, all the legit 🍣 you can handle with enough cooked options for those who don't eat raw fish...good luck on finding a better place!

Mojtaba Yousefi: I love this restaurant. I usually try to go there once a month. I have also tried the Yamato II in Copley. Not much difference in the food, but I have found this one more quiet for smaller parties. The waitress was busy but very effective. The time since we were seated, till we got our order was amazingly fast. I loved the vibe, and the food as well! They have some fried ice cream which I suggest you taste.

Steve: I went here for my lunch break when doing deliveries nonstop before starting my career and this place isn’t all that good but it’s not all that bad it’s on the borderline between both the sushi is actually pretty good and some of the Chinese chicken is all right they’re hot and sour soup is mediocre tasted more diluted The atmosphere could be a little brighter also and they could have a much wider selection.

H. Palmer: A hidden gem. The food was very good and the ingredients used are better than most chinese buffets. However, there is less variety. Price is reasonable as well. First impressions of this restaurant when you walk in can be misleading: the buffet bar seems smaller, looks old and not very well kept, and it's not super busy. However, the food makes up for this. For dinner, the sushi is better than typical Chinese buffet sushi and they use larger shrimps in the dishes. There is also a pan fried salmon in teriyaki that is very good. Highly recommended.

This time I came in the party of 6, including 2 children, one 3 years old and one 1.5 years old. I aware of the rule that they will automatically add 18% tip into the bill with the party of 6 and above, but I didn't think they would count my 1.5 years old baby so I didn't notice the bill. But when I get home and recalculate the bill I realized that they add the tip into the "Pre-tip AMT". It was on Saturday so the price for adult is $32, for a 3 years old baby is $12, if add 18% of the tip + tax we will have the number on our "Pre-tip AMT". So, we were double tip by adding another $26 on the total bill. The food and service were both good so it is ok to tip, but I just don't like the way they did it. So I write the review so that other customers can be aware of this situation.This one is the heaven for sashimi lover like me. You can order as many as you can eat (you will be charge extra for left over so just order within your ability). Their sashimi are fresh and cut into a reasonable thickness (just enough for me, not too thin, not too thick). The rolls and other dishes also good but I still prefer sashimi. However, I don't know why I don't like their sweet potato fries and other rolls with sweet potato inside even though I am a sweet potato lover. Other than that, everything is perfect. You also can get $2 discount for each person if you pay by cash so be prepared.

T: Food is good, but not great. The rolls are definitely on the smaller side compared to other places like Ibasaw and Genki Ya.And the wait time after ordering is extremely long. I came here alone at about 2:00 pm on a Saturday, ordered my first round of AYCE sushi , which was a little slow to arrive, but I was patient. Then I ordered my second round, and waited almost half an hour for it! I was so appalled I just asked for my bill, because I was STILL waiting! I feel like I wasted $37. A Worcestercrat: All things considered post pandemic buffet, it's doing alright but certainly not what it used to be. Very disappointed they did away with the raw bar and crab legs. The sushi selection was decent, and if that is what you are there for you get your money's worth. The lack of desserts, and raw selection is the reason for the 3 stars. The atmosphere was loud and bright and almost abrasive. The service was very rushed but they were attentive with refills and clearing plates. an na: This restaurant tried to combine a sushi bar with a regular Asian all-you-can-eat concept, but unfortunately, both were disappointing. The sushi was not tasty and poorly made. Even my 12-year-old kids could make better sushi. I'm not asking for a 40-year-experienced chef from Japan, but at least make the rolls look presentable. Furthermore, the appearance of the sushi was not only unappetizing but also looked like something that came out of the back of my dog. The Asian food was also not tasty at all. Overall, this was one of the worst all-you-can-eat places we have ever visited!

Fosss sss: I kept coming back to Minado for the good food and fair price. However, last time I went I saw a little rat. I told the staff about it, but no one explained that to me afterwards. I hope you guys could take that seriously. Two stars for the good time I’ve had here.

Nick Clark: Sushi is Minados niche all you can eat and many kinds. As for everything else higher end foods leaning towards sushi based items. If your looking for a diverse spread of a "traditional buffet " this is not it and that's ok. The price is a tad high but the quality is there. Minados get a soild 3 from me. My experience was met with good customer service and quality food. Just lacks the diversity of items I was looking for.

What impresses me the most is that the sushi is at least decent quality. At least the raw fish items still taste up to par and doesnt have that funky fish taste like some other places have.They also have a great selection on seafood during weekends. Every crab and mini clams i've had were so meaty and satisfying to chow down and not worry about cleaning up the mess you leave behind (tip your waitresses people!). Crawfish in my opinion doesnt really taste the best but I cant complain for the price we pay.Not to mention, so many places were affected with inflation that has wings and fried chicken. THIS PLACE HAS BOTH AND YOU CAN HAVE AS MUCH AS YOU WANT! They always stock up on it and you have all different types of sauces in the salad bar for it. Much of the sashimi was decent, the mushrooms + "potato chip nigiri" were fun, desserts were good. If they charged $100 for this half of the menu I wouldn't object.HOWEVER -- Nigiri were entirely disappointing. Miniscule portions, which is not a problem per se, but the nibbles of fish were so overwhelmed by the extra ingredients that you hardly tasted them. Uni nigiri had the criminal addition of large pieces of lemon zest, which overwhelmed the delicate flavors of the uni completely.Ambiance and service were not what you would expect of a high end sushi restaurant. Not unfriendly, but felt more like a bar. Also, although food was prepared directly in front of us at the counter, it took a circuitous route back through the kitchen, rather than being served fresh by the chefs.For $300, you can literally travel to NYC and back and get better omakase for half the price. Monir Monir: In the pantheon of fine meals there’s great and there’s those that transcend greatness and indelibly stamp themselves on your brain. O Ya is among the latter. Among the offerings some integrated caviar, sea urchin and wrapped up with a wagyu beef course. Our waiter was fantastic. He was very helpful with our sake pairings.
