And they did not bother to touch my cuticles even when paying for a manicure. Filed so roughly it made my nail plate burn and the polish chipped after the second day. Juanita Darlington: I would not go back. Staff was not friendly and was very slow in giving back change after service (they only take cash if you are getting certain things done, in my case it was my brows). Didn't say anything at all, just took my money and passed it to another lady whom I presume might be the owner/boss. She kept on working on her client and did not acknowledge me, ask me if I wanted my change...nothing. I was so upset. I left. That was the equivalent to a 33% tip and the service was poor and not deserving of it. I had planned on getting a manicure but they left a bad taste in my mouth. I would rather take the longer trip into Roxbury and go to Upscale. I may have to wait a few days for an appointment but the ladies there have always been polite to me and do excellent work on both mani-pedi and brows.

Jean Yang: Came here three times and it’ll be my last visit for their unreasonable charging. They have done a pretty nice job for dip manicure, however, they never told me the price before they completed the work or when you show them sample photos. I was charged 10 dollars just for getting white lines on my pedicure to make it LOOK LIKE French nails but it’s nothing but gel. If you are looking for a nail salon with clear charges, I’ll suggest you just go to somewhere else.

Janelle Green: They used illegal products (MMA) on me, tossed the nail file at me when I insisted that the pre-shaped tips they used were not sharp enough, and purposefully misquoted me because they believed I would not tip. My regular nail tech was horrified by the damage caused to my nail beds by their heavy drilling. I had a broken nail that was bleeding and completely split in HALF by their illegal work. Ro Othman: I moved from Montreal and found it hard to find a "good" nail spa salon that cares about their clients. I have tried 7 nail salons and didn't like any of them. This place is amazing, they are so meticulous, you don't need to wait for hours if you have an appointment and they litterally have the best service ever. I am very picky when it comes to my nails, and I have always gotten gel manicure and usually it peels off within a week or so but with them it lasts at least 3 weeks!They are so friendly, and professional. They didn't spend much time exfoliating the feet or on cuticles. Though they had cute colors, we wish they spent more time on the pedicure - we never felt so rushed before. We were also quoted a cheaper price than charged. They told us they only accepted cash or venmo which was off-putting. They also demanded we pay ASAP on venmo when our toes were drying and the woman was standing over us looking at our screen. They also wouldn't let us leave until our toes were completely dry. Will not be back.

While sitting I observed the atmosphere and interactions with other patrons and decided on a second service. I accepted her price quote and I was satisfied with the 2nd service except as I exited I spotted a small pink menu at the door.... She overcharged me 20.00. And I tipped 10 MORE for eyelash extensions. lauren kohl: I so rarely post but this was pretty terrible. I had never been here before but I was in need of a quick mani. I called and asked if they had a quick dry polish like dazzle dry, and although they didn't have that brand, she said they did have a quick dry polish. When I got there, it was obviously a lie - it was just OPI. She had some kind of top coat, but it definitely was not quick dry. In any case, I didn't have time to find another salon, so I just went with it. The mani was ok, but since I figured that I'd be there for far longer than I had initially counted on, I'd get eyebrow threading since it had been awhile. Big mistake!! Not only did she make my eyebrows crooked, uneven and jagged, she also was so unskilled that she made my skin bleed. Horrendous. I'll never go back and I'd advise anyone not to go to this dishonest salon...and definitely do not use their eyebrow threading services. They get 2 stars for the manicure - it was ok.Service:Manicure

BumbleBee Erving (Bee): Went there for a gel French Manicure and pedicure. The lady did not listen and did not give me a french manicure and then refused to take off the manicure I did not want or request. Another customer was nice enough to ask her to at least take the gel off because she heard me say I wanted a French manicure when I walked in the door before even starting the pedicure. Complete nightmare. WILL NEVER RETUEN HERE. Worst experience ever. Go elsewhere!!

I came in with very long nails and the tech accidentally cut my thumb nail too short for a proper almond shape. She ended up filing down the side of the nail pretty far into the nail bed. It is very painful now, a day after, looks bad, and is not even an almond shape. The pedicure was okay, but the gel manicure is awful. 2 days after getting the manicure, the color is patchy with some bright and some white-ish spots. The edges are not neat and there’s bits of exposed nail on the side. Also she scraped my previous gel mani so hard she damaged the middle of my nail on one finger but quickly covered it up when I pointed it out.They charge $5 for nail art which is fine but I asked for two hearts and got one heart and an almost-heart-shaped-irregular-blob. Syrene Reilly: I have been going here almost 2 years for regular mani pedi an occasional facial. They always take their time and never rush. Though I do not order any special treatment, they massage, use scrubs, and hot rocks, especially if they know you as a good customer. I have a problematic toe nail that is prone to pinching and ingrowing, and they always do what is needed to make it right. A mani/pedi for $50-$60 in Boston is a great deal. Highly Productive: They did a really amazing Job. Try to get there a little early so you can find meter parking. Pricey but worth it.

Michelle Kalil: I went to city nails to have dip powder removed. The woman had the dremel on such a high setting and kept hitting my cuticle. My nails were aching during the process as well. I've had dip removed many times at other places, and it never felt this uncomfortable. I expressed my concerns, but she continued. After I left, I developed fractures on my nails! I'm not one to write negative reviews, but I definitely will not be back here.

Consuelo Deschapelles: I went in for an Acrylic fill in and shorter nails. I was told I couldn’t get the color I wanted, because I needed a new set & the new set would cost $75. According to the the board hanging on the wall it’s $37 for a new Set & $10 to take off an old set. So I asked her why do I have to pay $75 for a new set ? If the fixed prices on the board say otherwise. She tried to excuse it with $10-$15 for removal depends how hard it is to take the old set off. Then she said the length of the new nails. I replied to her I don’t want long nails I want my nails the same length as her nails. So she said $52 I said ok then she asked for shape and then I said the same shape she has, she said that will be $62. At that point I was done and over it and felt like she was trying to upsell cause she knew I was a foreigner & I also didn’t feel like I would receive a good service since she didn’t get the $75 she wanted to do my nails. I would never ever recommend this shop to anyone. Bad attitude & unfriendliness is bad for business lady.I also called at 1pm and was told I could come in at 2pm. I came in 15 mins before the appointment it is courtesy to arrive earlier. So I showed up told her I’ll be back I’ll run down to the drug store a few doors down and I’ll be back by 2 pm. I returned at 2pm to all the drama as stated above + 20mins waiting until I decided this ain’t for me and this ain’t what I want.The shop itself looks like a hole in the wall next to a construction site, it looks dusty, unkept, and too much stuff in the shop and not enough space. The only reason why they are getting a Star is because if I don’t star it I can’t post. They are not worth the 1 Star they are receiving.As I walked out, I saw the Gaelic Day Spa (thank God).Gaelic is clean, a lot of technicians & it has a completely different atmosphere compared to sky. Techs & host are friendly. If works takes me back here again I would definitely visit Gaelic Day spa & I also will recommend to my colleagues on future trips here.

And they shouldn’t be taking a whole hour and couple minutes before closing just to do your feet then do your nails quickly. janae carpenter: This was my first time at Treasured Hands. I will say they were able to get me in an out for gel-x with chrome in an hour. That being said, I had a nail break off the same day I had my nails done. I came back the next day, no big deal it was fixed. Today (3 days after my manicure) another nail has fully fallen off. I am incredibly disappointed by this, especially considering it was 115 dollars pre tip. I will be going somewhere else in the future.

This is the worst nail salon I have ever been to (in terms of service). He kept pushing me to get a pedicure when I told him I didn't have enough time for a full pedicure. I expected a luxury service and was so appalled because they had such good reviews. They didn't clip my cuticule, shape/clip my nails. They charged me $41 dollars for a polish change(they just put nail polish on my toes (nothing else to warrant the steep price) . Don't know what the guys name but he was really bad he spent at most 7 minutes on my nails and was rushing to attend to the next client. The work was sloppy and extremely messy. They didn't clean up the excess polish from my toes. He left midway during my service to start working on the next client with tissues on my feet, my toes still curing, no moisturizer. I wish I could give a 0 star. So annoyed I will probably take it off cause it looks so terrible:( never coming back again
Alexa Derkasch: Had the best experience at Treasured Hands! I’d been a regular at a different salon for 6 years, but decided to take a risk and try somewhere new. So glad that I did! My nail technician was Rubie, and I can’t say enough nice things about her. Aside from her caring and patient demeanor, she is very gentle and pays meticulous attention to detail. I had a French ombré dip manicure and classic pedicure using dazzle polish (first time and impressed by the results - highly recommend for long-wear without having to go the gel route). The environment here is clean and organized and the staff is very welcoming and accommodating. A really cool aspect to their salon is that their pedicure chairs have leg supports; which makes it very easy to complete callus removal treatments without having to hold each leg up at a time.P.S. as a long time dip manicure gal, I learned that dip removal DOESN’T have to hurt like fire. The staff here tests the tools and are trained to make the removal process comfortable and painless. There was also no shaping done to my nails and instead of using tools to trim/clean up my nail bed and cuticles, my nail tech used her own fingernail to just push back my cuticle (which barely did anything). a lot of the dip was also spilling over from my nails to my skin (aka there was more surface area of dip than surface area of my nail itself). i was waiting to write this review hoping that maybe they would at least last a long time— but nope. it’s been 6 DAYS and my dip manicure that is supposed to last 3-4 weeks is already chipping and coming off. i am rating them a 2 because the staff is so friendly and professional but if i was rating the manicure itself i would give them 0 stars.Services:Manicure,Dip powder

My first manicure was with "V" then "Tee" and Trish have seen me. From the start I loved the atmosphere of the salon, it's very calm and professional. The service itself is equally great and that's why I've continued to come. My nails always look amazing, they have the latest products, colors and styles, and I come every three weeks or one month because my nails last that long. Of course everyone is different with their nail growth and nail use but I think they would equally last at least 2-3 weeks for others. Sophie Borchart: I've been coming to My Nail Salon for almost 2 years now and always have a great experience. Nini is my go to girl, she always does a great job cleaning my cuticles, shaping the nails, and massaging the hands at the end too. My sister always sees Van who she loves. I would recommend them both as well as the rest of the staff! Everyone is always so kind and does an excellent job for both manicures and pedicures. There are many color options for gel, regular, dip, etc and they always take their time. Haven't been to any other nail salon in Boston, and not planning on switching anytime soon!

Regina Rabkina: i don’t typically leave reviews, let alone critical ones. but i was asked to review this place on several occasions so here i am.while i enjoy the ambience and the ladies working here, i cant say i had the best experiences here lately. the lady that does my nails is extremely kind and because i respect her and really do mean well, i won’t say her name. i wish her all the best and really do think she can do amazing things.i have gotten gel fill ins the past two times. i asked for a french design the first time, and it came out incredibly clumpy. i was so surprised that i just paid a good amount of money and left. i eventually mustered up enough confidence to reach out and ask the lady to fix them. she was so incredibly kind and allowed me to come in that same night and swiftly fixed them free of charge. this interaction alone made me truly appreciate their dedication to customer satisfaction. but it was upsetting that a regular french design couldn’t be achieved properly the first time.i just went back again to give them the benefit of the doubt. got another gel fill in, this time a solid color. i mean how could you mess that up right? she was very attentive and fixed a broken nail, which i am really happy about. i left with a gorgeous color and shape, which again, i am satisfied with. but i also left with about five fingers cut, around the nail from filing too much and aggressively with the drill. i normally don’t mind one or two nicks, but i’m finding it a bit difficult to even wash my hands without my fingers burning (you can see my raw cuts in the picture ☹️)i want to say this salon is good, but there are a lot of things that need improvement technique wise. My main problems with the service were related to the nails. The staff member I booked an appointment with on 1/14/23 was triple-booked; My ended up doing my nails and she did a great job. I made another appointment for 1/30/23 to get the gel nails removed. Gigi Bly: Very cute place. Friendly staff and great service! Lots of color options in dip nail coloring, regular and gel polish. They also have waxing services. Staff is professional and the salon is always clean. They take appointments and walk-ins. Call ahead to avoid waiting; however, they do a great job limiting wait time.

M: CASH ONLY! Although this is fairly common for nail salons, there is no signage anywhere indicating it’s their only accepted form of payment (and there is not an ATM). Besides that snafu, I felt like the nail tech was trying to be so efficient that she rushed through the job. I still had ridges in my nails. And bc she didn’t properly rinse the oil off my feet, my nail polish never dried & literally peeled off in sheets less than a day later… super disappointing. My person was also quite cold in her demeanor. I could tell some of the other techs have long time regulars so maybe I just got unlucky but probably won’t be returning. Paid $48 for a simple mani & pedi that lasted less than 24 hours.
Baddie Dae: Cindy is my girl! Super fast but detail oriented. I get a gel mani and regular pedi and I’m blown away everytime because I’m always in and out in under an hour. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME!
Elisa Miconi: I really wanted to go here. I called to make an appointment, picked a day and time, then I asked how much it would be and another couple of details and the lady got all mad and hung up on me ?_?

Jake Skeffington: I had my nails done for the first time here and they did a fantastic job on the nails. However when I needed them removed they did not soak them first. I was unaware that was a necessary step with acrylic nails and not only did the removal hurt like anything but my natural nails arent doing so hot. SB F: Tina (and all the girls here) are lovely. Gel mani has never lasted so long- no chips for over two weeks while I was traveling! You can see for yourself in the picture below- all that growth, and no chips!Only con is that it’s cash only, so make sure to bring it or a debit card (atm one block away). Pro to cash only is that their prices are slightly lower than competitors.
