Best Orthodontic Dentists In Boston Near Me

Kayla Foots: Boston Dental (Downtown Crossing) has been my dental provider since I moved to Boston ~3 years ago. The entire team is amazing but I have to give a special shout out to my hygienist, Juan C. Last month, the dentist told me I needed a deep cleaning. I had every intention of procrastinating this as long as I could because I hate needles and I’d need 2 separate appointments to complete this cleaning. I also have anxiety and didn’t want to have an anxiety attack b/c of how much I was dreading the needles. When Juan followed up with me regarding the deep cleaning, I expressed my concerns to him. He was so understanding and really helped to calm my nerves! Today, I had 1/2 of my deep cleaning sessions. Juan talked me through the needles portion (and distracted me with some jokes)! I was so calm and relaxed, the whole thing was over before I knew it. I can’t say thank you to him enough!

Kerstin Spirohn: Dr. Simon has been my dentist for the last 10 years and she’s amazing. I’m not a big fan of dental work and an anxious patient but her very kind, empathetic and calming way helps so much and I trust her.

Katherine Mize: I have visited this practice three times now and am a BIG fan--I have ultra sensitive teeth and was REALLY dreading getting a couple of fillings replaced. The doctor walked me through the images of my teeth and which fillings were important to deal with on what timeline. I didnt feel anything but the anesthetic shot (and not even that very much as they use a numbing topical gel first), I watched netflix on a screen above me the whole time, and we were done within ~an hour for two fillings.I have also had another practice push hard for me to get a couple of crowns which Dr. Fang said was aggressive and not necessary at this time. They have been easy to work with, provide top notch care with all the extras, and even made me a plan to help me max out insurance benefits/minimize out of pocket costs for what I needed. I have not felt pushed to get anything above what was absolutely needed and really appreciate it!

Mike Haley: This office was very nice to me from day 1. I have terrible anxiety going to the dentist, Dr Simon and her assistant were great. I even had a small panick attack during my procedure and they knew exactly what to do in order to help me. I am extremely grateful for all there help. I had a mouth full of broken teeth that had to all be pulled. At 48 years old I neglected my teeth and the dentist. Now I have new dentures and I'm happy. They

Erickson Fernandez: I’m here to write about Dr.Chang. I went in for this surgery today, totally anxious and scared. Literally for no reason. Dr.Chang works you thru each process he is doing and makes sure you are comfortable. He even goes over the plan if you have any questions, which I did. It literally finished in 10 minutes. I was stunned. His skills with the anesthesia needle are next level. This doctor was meant to do what he does, thank you for the easy surgery.

Jacqueline Murphy: The dental hygienist and the front staff were incredible - I give them a 5. The facilities are also very nice. However, overall I want to give a 3.5 but that isn’t an option so I’ll round up. The dentist had lots of information to relay to me but didn’t properly communicate everything I need to get done (I knew I needed some crowns and cavity replacements because of my dental history). I ended up having to clarify everything with the dental hygienist who was able to break it down for me. The dentist rushed every interaction we had and struggled to speak with me on a human level. I am going to continue with my procedures here but may consider other options if the dental work is as rushed as the patient interactions.

Tang Jenny: Great dentist, rest of the admin and billing, scheduling staff isn't as great. They ask to fill in the patient intake form, but nobody actually reads it. The address on the estimate isn't remotely correct as I am organizing through all my dental billing files

Helen C: Have come to this place for cleanings, fillings, tooth whitening, and a gum graft surgery over the last 5 years. Friendly and professional staff, clean space, and efficient service.

Jessica Julien: DO NOT GO HERE ‼️(Read all the 1-2 star reviews and there is a common theme of this dental practice trying to get patients to do unnecessary procedures. They are money hungry and do not care about the well being of their patients)Long story short they stuck my “temporary crown” to my tooth and then couldn’t get it off when it was time to install my permanent crown. The dentist then insisted that i extract my tooth and get an expensive implant instead of continuing with a crown. This was recommended even though my dentist had not performed any vertical x-rays. They then told me they would reach out to me for a consultation for an implant. I didn’t hear back from them for 3 months after reaching out to them multiple times via telephone. I had fully paid for a crown that was not completed by the dentist. The practice having known this procedure was not completed charged my insurance for this even though I had not received a crown. Within those 3 months they had not adjusted or refunded the insurance nor my out of pocket cost. When I emailed the director of the practice about this insurance FRAUD they then made excuses and 2 days later I got an email from my insurance saying it was adjusted. I have yet to receive any refund from this establishment for my out of pocket cost that I spent towards getting a crown. Essentially they have stolen my money and are no longer communicating with me.With regards to my tooth I visited 2 new dentist in Boston and both of them told me it was incredibly strange that my dentist would recommend extraction to a 25 year old without even taking vertical x rays and that I was smart for seeking a second opinion. My new dentist was able to complete a crown for me with no complications and said that my tooth was not infected nor did it show any signs indicating that the tooth needed to be extracted.Overall I am happy that I did not have to spend thousands on an implant that I did not need. Please do not go here this place does not care about their patients, I emailed the director privately about this matter and he did nothing to rectify or refund the money i invested in getting a crown.(P.S. they have a raffle to win a product if you leave a review, so the reviews on here are not genuinely because patients love this practice and more or so incentivized by the idea of getting something for free, don’t be fooled like I was)

Kevin Thomas: The practice Manager Denise is absolutely phenomenal. Not only does she address any concerns but she listens actively to any grievance and discovers ways to remedy them. By far one of the best managers to date, she improves the experience of any Boston Dental member drastically. I highly recommend a speaking to her if you are not satisfied with your visit.

H K: I scheduled visits for our family of 6, which was easy. Said my husband and I both had many cavities and fillings that needed to be replaced. Felt pressure to fix asap and make an appointment for them asap, even paid ahead of time for my husbands. Then, we got a letter the next week saying they were no longer taking our insurance in 1 month. We never got the work done and did get reimbursed. Fast forward, we found a new dentist who did scans/X-rays and cleaned teeth. We had no cavities and told us no need to replace those fillings. This place tried to make us get tons of work done that wasn’t necessary. Sad not to be able to trust a dentist office. Glad they stopped taking our insurance.

Olivia St. Martin: Excellent patient care and customer service! I just had my first appointment at Boston Dental, and the experience exceeded my expectations from start to finish. Kristen, the patient coordinator, is incredibly responsive and helpful. She reached out to me within just a few hours of submitting an appointment inquiry and was able to find a spot for me the very next day. During my appointment, both Jennifer and Dr. Vi were extremely attentive when listening to my concerns, and took the time to answer all my questions and walk through my care plan. Plus, it was truly one of the least painful cleanings I’ve ever had. Mike was also very helpful during the checkout process / when rescheduling my follow-up appointments. I highly recommend this office for anyone looking to switch to a new dentist in Boston!

Lori Petrosinelli: I have had the best experience with 95% of the staff at Boston Dental.However, there is one person (Denise) office manager that is the glue of this businessI had a problem with a tooth on a Sunday and sent an email never expecting to get a reply until Monday morning.Denise contacted me immediately and needed to call in a script. She went beyond her job to give me her personal phone number. We went on to text several times until pharmacy opened on Sunday.This isn’t the only time she has helped me. She watches who is in waiting room and makes sure no one is there more than 15 minutes without her remedying it.10 stars for Denise.I hope the business realizes how valuable she is. Truly the glue for a successful business.

Carolyne Nelson: Love Boston Dental. It’s always clean, the staff is professional, and I always get the best care. Just had my bi-annual cleaning with Juan, and he was great. When the dentist came by to check my teeth, she mentioned some slight gum recession, and Juan took the time to take pics and show me what she was talking about. He also explained what I can do to prevent any further recession. I always recommend this place to anyone look for a great dentist!

Kim Gilman: I am blown away by the experience I received at the Somerville location. I went in with a nervous 6 year old. From the second I walked in the door, I was greeted by Kristal, a refreshingly pleasant, kind person that helped get us checked in. I was also greeted by Rosa, Khang, and Christine who genuinely seemed excited to see us. They were so friendly, and it absolutely felt like family. I feel bad, I did not get the dental assistants name, but she was very patient and kind to my daughter, who is a dramatic little lady. Dr Thaker then came in and was so thorough, understanding, kind, and did an amazing job explaining my daughter specific case. I felt confident in the treatment and the care that my daughter would be receiving. I look forward to going back.

Jeremy Andreatta: Excellent staff. My Dr. and Hygienist are both amazing. Very professional and understanding. They always discuss the options and don't pressure me to make decisions, especially expensive ones that can wait for a bit. I've been nothing but happy with all the staff in the office. It's friendly and welcoming from the time you walk in the front door to the time you leave. Definitely put this place on your list if your in the market for a dentist.

For countless months I had been wrestling with my insurance company to appeal a denied claim and was feeling completely hopeless. However, by some stroke of luck, Crystal happened to take my call when I called to followup with the office and immediately she sprung into action. After several weeks of sending paperwork, advocating on my behalf, and calling me with updates, Crystal called me to tell me the appeal went through! Crystal literally saved me hundreds of dollars and months of headaches. Thank you so very much for your help, I wish I could give Crystal more stars for all her help!!

Kuda Chidzonga: The supporting and dental staff is terrific and always welcoming! I hadn't been to the dentist in many moons which meant the work to be done was costly even with dental insurance (so word to the wise go regularly to avoid this pitfall), but the folks at Great Hill - Somerville made it easy, and PAINLESS (most important of all in my humble opinion) in completing the care I needed to get everything squared away. I cannot recommend this office enough - Please keep in mind I'm the last person on earth you would have found touting anything medical, let alone a Dental office!

Madeline E Gorchels: I was a patient here and left after being treated extremely disrespectfully by a dental hygienist and dentist who worked here. Just one example: laughing at me during treatment and forcing me to look at the work in progress to shame me about not having good dental habits. Before this I was in grad school and could not afford dental care.I tried just switching dentists in the same practice but the associations were too negative. The quality of the work was good, but the emotional toll was so bad it stopped me from going back to any dentist for over a year.I’m reviewing now because even though I made my reasons for leaving clear, I’m now getting auto generated ads to come back and get my dental care here. Clearly not respecting former patient privacy by using this information to shamelessly try to get business back. I never consented to ads and gave my information with the understanding it would only be used to communicate about existing appointments or billing.

I’ve been a patient for 4 years and neither the dental hygienist nor the dentist remember my name, and can only remember my history by reference to records. The dentist spends less than 5 min with each appointment, and the orthodontist didn’t speak to me but over me. I only came here for the location, so now it’s time to switch.

Craig Simons: I'm happy with the service and the people. Sometimes I feel like I'm getting roped into extra cleaning services that are expensive and I have no idea if I need them or why I need them (ie $75 for fluoride treatment that my insurance doesn't cover). I wish there were some way to know that this service is needed and not just some extra money maker.

Kasey Elkin: Been coming here for five years. After my most recent cleaning there was a mixup with insurance and I received a large bill in the mail. I called the office and the staff member helped me figure out what had happened and was determined to help me get things straightened out between me and them and my insurance so I didn’t need to pay anything out of pocket. I was so grateful for their kindness and genuine concern. You don’t get patient care like that every day!

Bradley Scott: Having been in numerous dental offices yes the furniture in the front waiting area was a little aged but comfortable and clean however the xray machine was one that clearly surpassed other dentist across the country and was extremely hi-tech. Definitely not the office to go to if you're looking to be babied she's serious about teeth and teeth health. It is clear her mainstay is to offer her patients the highest quality smile with the newest technology perhaps not the fashion show some people need however the fashion show will be in your smile as mine is now thanks to the braces and support she offers. She respected all my suggestions that made me more comfortable I'm sure because they were sensible and not shrouded in unresolved unrelated issues. I advise going for the winning smile but only if you're a winner of course!!!!

Elizabeth Alford: If you are looking for a doctor who others come to for advice because she has been in the business for numerous decades you are at the right office. Her abilities are beyond those in the area which came as no surprise at the observation of her Harvard degrees and tufts affiliations. She is strict about mouth health and hygiene because she cares for her patients over all well being and knows the long term ramifications of negligence and I just appreciate that she taught me to respect her art and my health and for that I have walked away with a smile that gets nothing but praise to this day and that is why I have returned with my children who enjoy her candid approach to their tooth brushing habits or lack there of...we will do better because of Dr. Brown

Scarlett Hearted: Why is this old 70's style office charging costs that are higher than the other more sleek and modern orthodontics in Boston? Not to mention a big difference in professionalism. I will say that the other offices that I sought out did have higher review ratings and now I can see why.Brown's vibe was very off-putting and condescending right off the bat, also grumbling to me about having to get to the office at 9am for an appointment (uhh OK? It's called a job? Your patients have to take time off from work to get to you in the first place). She wasn't very thorough compared to other orthodontists that I have seen. The most she was thorough about was charging ridiculous little costs here and there, even though the main cost of service was already 20%+ higher than what other professional and certified orthodontists in the Boston area are charging.The main positive was leaving, knowing that I'd be saving a lot of hard earned cash for a better office - and there are many options. Byeee.

Matthew Rosenbaum: Dr. Brown and her staff are the best! I just made my appointment with her for after lockdown and Dr. Brown made the appointment herself and we got a chance to catch up. My sister recommend her to me after working with her and I’ve been delighted with her and her team’s work. Everyone was extremely nice and accommodating and Dr. Brown herself is both warm hearted and a stone cold professional. She patiently answered all my questions (I had a zillion) and reassured me every step of the way, she was even able to refer me to another dentist for a separate issue I was having. I’ve got another year to go and am already feeling more confident about my smile. Go check her out!

Will Kelly: One of the worst and most unpleasant experiences I have ever had. Dr. Brown is extremely mean and rude. There are always long waits before they bring you to the room with the chairs, and even after they bring you back there it takes at least a half hour before you are seen. Dr. Brown shows no respect for other people’s time, as every time that I went in for an appointment, it was a 2.5-3 hour experience. It could be understandable if the place was jammed with other customers, but there was never more than 1 or 2 other customers in there. Dr. Brown was constantly trying to get me to pay extra for the most ridiculous things. One time the wire snapped while SHE was working on it, and she tried to get me to pay $100 for “neglect”. She also tried to sell me a ridiculously overpriced toothbrush. Boston Orthodontics would still get a 3 or a 4 star review from me if they did a good job with the orthodontics despite the awful service, but NO!!! Dr. Brown doesn’t know what she is doing and she constantly messes things up and blames it on the customer. DONT GO HERE PLEASE

Jennifer Ha: I started to have very bad pain in my mouth and swelling to the point chewing or brushing my teeth in the area would hurt - Boston Dental at government center was able to get me an appointment within a DAY. The process was smooth and transparent and there is also a questionnaire sent to fill out so they can know more about your dental health. The dentist was very gentle and informative the entire time while I was cringing from the pain in my mouth. The swelling had even gone down by the end of the treatment. She made sure I felt comfortable and addressed my immediate concerns and followed up on any others I had. The space is clean and they even have Netflix set up for you to watch while you get your treatment which was helpful because just sitting there staring at the ceiling is so awkward 😅 highly recommend this place!!

Dexter Trujillo: Sandra is my hygienist since my first visit. Everything with her is perfect; she takes her time to do the best job. She explains you absolutely everything about your teeth and shows you that she cares about you. First time with my new dentist was great, she was really clear and knowledgeable while talking to me about some procedures. The location is incredibly clean every time I go there. They always have water for you and treat you since you come in with all the respect that you deserve.

Carly Autumn: I was a new patient. My experience was horrifying. Their office is a complete fraud. From misleading advertising to unsafe equipment and treatments.This business is run as a money-making machine to open new offices by cutting corners every step of the way and jeopardizing patients' safety. Their equipment is not properly disinfected, they handle and prepare new patient stations without using any gloves, they don't use proper tools to perform a safe dental treatment. They only have one available dental camera in the whole office which can't be properly cleaned between patients. They mislead you to signing into unauthorized treatments and without your consent, they rush and perform into the treatment. Laura C. Simons was my dentist. She used anesthetic that was unsafe to me because it cost less money to them. She intentionally cut into my gumlines causing permanent damage. Laura without my consent did deep drilling into my tooth causing infection.Everything was perform to intentionally harm you. X-rays were taken by Magen El-Malecki which led to gum line damage. Magen couldn’t take one proper x-ray instead she took 5 x-rays of the same tooth while not using camera properly and exposing my half face to the radiation 5 times. Both individuals Laura C. Simons and Magen El-Malecki are very careless about patient concerns or safety. To alert others I left a more detailed note on the BBB website. There is another patient note on BBB.

Jasemina Outar: Gentle Dental definitely lived up to their name. I called so many places around Boston to get my wisdom teeth pulled and this was the only place who could squeeze me in within a week. Once I got there (just for a consultation) they were able to take my teeth out the same day!! Dr. Yang did an amazing job taking out my wisdom teeth. He was super gentle, super nice and made me feel so comfortable. At one point I even tried to stick it through and get all my teeth out without taking a break but he knew better than me when I needed one and gave me plenty of opportunities to rest before continuing. I had the best experience with him. Once I got home I didn’t feel any pain and even woke up the next morning feeling fine. I would definitely recommend coming here! Even the staff at the front desk and dental assistant were amazing.

Zachary Hobbs: Without question the best dental experience I've had in my life. I fell asleep during my deep clean and apparently snored. (I can't believe it either!) Joe Sandperl: The hygienists and dentists are all great, but I had a billing issue that made dealing with the office quite annoying. It all started because I was incorrectly sent a $25 bill for missing an appointment that I didn't actually miss. Not a huge deal but it took many calls to finally reach someone and explain that I didn't miss any appointments. Once I did, the person on the call said it was an error and they would fix it. I thanked them and also asked to cancel my next appointments. I thought we were on the same page until a few weeks later, I received another bill but this time for $50, stating there were now 2 missed appointments. Not only did they not resolve the original issue I had called in for, but I guess the person on the phone didn't actually cancel the appointment in their system when I asked. I finally got it resolved after calling back a few more times, but it was a real pain for a small amount of money

Like many people, I hated going to the dentists because they usually tell me I need all this extra work done and whatever they do, it hurts. But ever since I’ve been going to Gentle Dental my fear of the dentist has diminished- still not my favorite activity, but at least now I’m not scared to go. Armin is the kindest, most gentle hygienist you’ll ever meet. He really takes the time to explain why certain recommendations are important instead of just telling you to do this or that, which I really appreciate. He’s personable (which in my experience is rare), and he’s actually very funny. Every time I leave the office I have a smile on my face. I won’t get my teeth cleaned by anyone else. Leah and Julie are very accommodating and friendly, I’ve had to reschedule appointments numerous times and there’s never an issue. Always seems like a very well run office.

My bottom teeth only had minor crowding so I didn’t think it was worth getting 18-month-long braces at my local dentist. However, I did some research and stumbled upon Dr. G’s work. I did a consultation with him and he suggested he could straighten my teeth in 4 months! Before meeting with Dr. G, she checks in to see how my braces process is going. She helped me remove my elastics and wires before meeting with Dr. G. Trill C: Age 22, 25, and 29 were all attempts of me looking into straightening my teeth (crowed, overlapping teeth). I went to The Braces Place, Candid on Newbury Street and a dentist practice located on Columbia Rd. By the time age 30 was approaching I felt more obligated to correct my smile. I went back and fourth on correcting my teeth due to pain, cost and ultimately the length of time it would take for me to get them off at my age. I started to get comfortable with the idea of NOT going through with it. Two to three years ago I was introduced to Rapid Braces and Dr. G via online search. The consultation with him along with the six months or less had me sold, but the price made me focus on Candid over traditional braces. 2020 I decided to give Rapid Braces a shot again! Admin: At age 25 I decided to finally fix a huge insecurity - my horribly crooked teeth. I accepted that I would likely have braces on until I was 27, but knew it would be worth it. B. W.: Great reintroduction after so long away. Informative as usual. I've found the environment conducive to getting a handle on my oral care over time. The cleanings have been well integrated with basic checkups and alerts as needed, and reasonably thorough. Surguries have been essentially pain-free and have lived up to expectations, although I was a bit crushed that my wisdom teeth didn't come out whole (Sigh.) After the usual hiccups for awhile there in the pandemic I was impressed with the adaptations the office made upon reopening, and these days there's a nice compromise been struck between the old old normal and the not so old hidden. Timmy Liu: This place is a scam. They purposefully added in unnecessary procedures to drive up the costs to scam me into paying extreme amounts of money for basic dental cleaning. Do not come here. Their customer service was terrible, and they are out here to profit off you. I will never come back and will never even suggest anyone ever come here. Unsure why they have so many high ratings but it is probably due to botting. Like many other 1 star ratings have explained, they hide what is covered and what is not. They manipulate their way into forcing you to pay for unnecessary, ridiculously priced procedures. Please find yourself an honest dental office, because that is not what this is. They don't communicate with your insurance to ensure what is covered and what is not. YOU only find that out later with the bill In the mail. Another example was a cavity cleaning where I paid for the amount beforehand, but they hit me with an enormous unnecessary charge afterwards, even though they explained I would only have to pay for the amount beforehand. They are liars. Communication was awful. Do NOT come. Read the other 1 star reviews for yourself.

Michael Curley: I was satisfied with the Invisalign process and service received, which straightened my teeth to my satisfaction. Having spent $5000 on the treatment, I was keen to maintain the benefit and thus paid for the permanent lower jaw retainer bar (at a cost of $595). This initial bar remained intact for just over 3 years (while I continued to wear the night-time retainer). To my surprise, the bar eventually came loose and needed replacement. Therefore, Smilebar replaced the bar for an additional cost to me of $595, which I figured was reasonable given my initial experience. However, this newly replaced bar came off after just over 4 weeks while eating breakfast. Smilebar agreed to replace the bar at no cost, given it came off within such a short time. However, the second replacement bar came off after just over 4 months, this time completely (i.e. including the bonding agent on all 4 teeth) while eating toast (and during which time I continued to use the night-time retainer). When I once again contacted Smilebar and explained my dissatisfaction and frustration with the bar, I was told that I would need to pay yet another $595 for a replacement. I was also informed that the bar itself is only warranted to be replaced free of charge within the first 2 months post-installation.I was taken back that Smilebar took no accountability or consideration that perhaps the retainer bar was not being installed correctly, especially considering this latest iteration came loose in its entirety, including the bonding agent. Additionally, the lower bar retainer is meant to be a permanent apparatus, which should last upwards of 10 years+ and not months if installed correctly. Smilebar failed to provide quality service beyond my initial experience and also failed to disclose that the device, following installation, would only be warranted for 2 months.I would seriously consider pursuing other practices that are transparent with their patients and can provide a level of expertise that reflects the cost of service being charged to their patients, which is why I am providing a 2 star review.

I am currently in the refinement process and I moved to Texas half way through my treatment. Smilebar is still very accommodating - we have virtual check-ups to track my progress and they mail me my aligners. My insurance was making it difficult and denied my claim initially but the team went out their way and made the process painless - my insurance ended up reimbursing me.If you’re thinking about correcting your smile, don’t think twice about Smilebar. Mary T College: Really disappointed, do not recommend. While fixing minor cosmetic issues, they created new ones and didn't fix them. Their quote for my Invisalign was cheaper and faster than my dentist's, but in the end it took just as long and now I get to figure out how to fix the new issues. I had to repeatedly follow up to get them to finally bill my dental insurance, which delayed repayment by months. I thought going someplace that only does Invisalign would mean they'd be good at it - but now I think it's probably better to go someplace with a vested interest in your teeth long-term.

I highly recommend booking your appointment consultation here because not only is the consultation free, but the people there are both friendly and professional. You can book your appointment online or call them. Once you book your appointment they will email you with reminders the day before your appointment to remind you that you have an appointment the following day. In conclusion I had an amazing first experience.

I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to deal with metal braces. You get multiple trays at one time some you don't have to have a bunch of visits so it saves time as there as well.

I opted to pay significantly more for Smilebar over one of the mail-in aligner services because of the positive reviews and the expertise/confidence that I got from the orthodontist during the consultation, and am extremely happy that I did.

Michael Manahan: I completed my Invisalign treatment a few months ago and am very happy with the results. From start to finish scheduling/rescheduling appointments with Sephra at the front desk was a breeze. I worked with both Dr. Niaraki and Dr. Baquerizo who were both very professional and kept me up to speed on my progress during each check in. The office is very clean/modern and located close to the Orange line. While everyone is different, the entire process took less than a year and I was able to get a permanent retainer so my teeth will stay put. Overall, it was a great experience and I would definitely recommend SmileBar if you are considering Invisalign.

K T: I always felt like just a number to this office and was rushed in and out of my appointments. Dr. Niaraki barely looked at my teeth and didn't take my questions and concerns seriously. I told him at the end of my treatment that my teeth still felt very crooked, but he said they look "perfect." Nearly a year after I've finished treatment, I have to wear my retainers for at least 12 hours a day/night for my bite to feel normal. When I don't, my teeth noticeably shift and it's extremely annoying and distracting - not at all what I would expect after paying $5000. Dr. Niaraki also severely underestimated the time that it would take to "fix" my teeth, probably just to draw me in (and I have a very mild case). Once I save enough money, I'll go to a legitimate orthodontist and get braces like I should have in the first place. I cannot recommend Smilebar to anyone; please don't let the high google rating persuade you to shell out your hard earned money, as happened to me. Smilebar's only saving grace is Sephra, an incredibly kind, hardworking, and helpful staff member who helped me navigate my insurance.
