Andrew Harris: Amazing store, the owner Rick and his wife are great people! Some really great stuff here especially considering you’re in Boston! They have something for everyone. Old rock concert tees and plenty of country boots, apparel, and accessories. They’ve been in the area well over a decade and I sure hope they don’t go anywhere! They also have an AWESOME selection of both classic rock and country records. I found a few albums that I am so excited to throw for a spin. It’s hard for me to believe I found classic country music records eye in Boston, MA! The store sits in a very beautiful area and is absolutely worth the drive or walk to get there! It’s added to my list of places that are MUST stops when I come back through Boston.. For locals they have a rotating inventory too so stopping in every few weeks is definitely not a bad idea, I know I would if I lived anywhere near Boston!As for the reviews saying the management was rude, I found it to the complete opposite. Both Rick and his wife were very helpful and eager to answer any questions I asked about the store and even the local area. They’re great people with a fantastic store!

We were sitting in the back of store, happily trying on shoes and chatting about which ones we love and want to get, and the front desk person came checked on us twice, asking "is there anything wrong with you guys", and commented on that he "doesn't understand how it's such difficult decisions". When we wondered about return policies, he said "well, the store's gotta pay rent every month", as if it was an offensive question.It was a rare beautiful sunny weekend after weeks of gloomy weather, but he managed to ruin our mood for that day completely. Would give negative stars if possible.

Alexander Lanterman: This is the one store that defies urban trends. You go in there and come out with something that matches your look and attitude. Their products are of high quality, and the prices are reasonable. It's western and rock n roll attire at its finest.

Greg was very kind to make numerous phone calls to find a brass or stainless steel buckle for me but found no luck, as the buckle has rare dimensions.I greatly appreciated his effort, because he knew I didn’t want just any belt from the store. He also did not push me to buy the belt before I had the right buckle, since he knew this was going to be an investment piece.I recommend shopping local in general for leather accessories if you can, since the craftsmanship/quality is top tier and staff aren’t t obnoxious.Thank you, Greg!

Do not buy anything in Macy's or from those overpriced designers, the quality they have in Hellen's leather is top of the line. I'll come by next year for sure.

The only downside is that they're such good quality I rarely need to buy one to replace em. The best thing a guy can do for his wardrobe is to buy a good quality belt that fits outside of buying clothes that fit that look good.Stop buying belts from Marshalls and Macy's. Buy your next and maybe last belt from Helen's.
Cowboy Cormier: This is the one place I found inexpensive authentic into the core with absolute hospitality country hospitality this is one of the best shops I have ever been into the best service I ever get I got married years ago and this was the place I got all my country wear my best man and his line belt buckles shirts bolos and hats the whole nine yards and I have been going to the shop a lot longer than that whenever people ask where to get certain attire I tell them this place and I also refer them to mention the cowboy sent them I have used everything I own from this place in movies in workplace and as casual I am the All-American and I refer them for everything

FIRST FLOOR: Men & Women sneakers. SECOND FLOOR: womens heels, boots & Clarence section. If the escalator going down to first floor isn’t working. There is an elevator & stairs to lead you back down. I ordered a pair of boots online for pickup at this location for the first time and wanted to ask a few questions regarding the pickup. I made three different phone calls. The first one was put on hold forever (10 mins+) and never heard back. The next two calls got picked up and hung up immediately without saying anything. This is super rude. I totally understand that they are busy. They can just leave ignore the calls in the first place. So, I didn't have to wait for them.Anyhow, due to its prime location, I will probably shop here again.

The Newbury location needs to get customer service right rather than what seems to be prioritizing the sale of (improperly fitting) in-store merchandise.

Out of all the DSWs I been to this is the one with the largest selection so if they don't have a pair of shoes to my liking I can say with confidence that the other DSWs won't be any better. My girlfriend loves buying her boots and socks here as well, and when she needs to go to a DSW this is the one I will always bring her to.

Eni Bica Rockwood: Good experience when we first visited but went for a return today and the store doors are locked at 645 when the store closes at 7pm. Disappointing because we drove for 30 mins.

Dave worked to help me understand which type of shoe I wanted and provided an objective opinion on which shoes I should look at. He was not pushy at all and really cared to help me find the right fitting shoe. He educated me on the Allen Edmond products as well! I have wide feet, and have found it hard to find the right fitting shoe, Dave provided great insight and expert opinion to help me find the right shoe. Adam Mackler: This location is far superior to Newbury Street. On Newbury, the salesman had an attitude like my questions were inconveniencing him and when I asked if they could order an out-of-stock model so I could try it on before buying his answer was "I wish." At State Street Eva answered the same question "of course" and beyond that she was totally helpful and accommodating. I ended up making my purchase at State Street and I will be shopping there from now on rather than Newbury Street.
