NJ H: Very pleased! After 6pm on Monday, we had a tire blowout. Needed a tow. They came promptly, and we agreed to be towed to their shop, which was still open. We needed specialty tires for our EV. Not available that evening, so we left the car. Following day (Tues.), they informed us it would take an extra day (until Wed.) to get our desired tires. But, at 7:30pm Tuesday, we got a call that the car was ready! It always feels good to get the car back a full day sooner than promised. Michele Dow: As a woman, I always feel nervous about taking my car in for repairs, but I have found an auto repair shop that gave me confidence I was getting exactly what was needed and for a very fair price. I had gone to the Infiniti dealer, and they said my 2013 Infiniti needed $4500 in repairs. Abe’s reviewed the quote and showed me why most of the items were unnecessary and that the rest could be done in stages. Instead of $4500, I paid Abe’s $450 to weld my exhaust system. Besides being extremely competent and fair, they are genuinely nice guys! I honestly can’t recommend them highly enough. Anna Krohn: I needed to have my car towed due to the front break calipers seizing up while driving on a Sunday evening. I chose Abe's from the list of AAA shops and I'm satisfied with my choice. I heard back from Naeem first thing on Monday morning, they already had my car up on the lift and confirmed for me it was indeed the calipers on the front that were the issue. There were other things that they spotted and recommended taking care of. Naeem explained everything, sent me photos of what he was seeing and was very communicative all day as the repairs were happening. I could have picked the car up the same day, but had to wait until Tuesday. Everyone I met in the shop when picking up was super friendly to top off the experience.The car felt good driving home so I'm happy. Needing the repairs was annoying and an unexpected expense but Naeem and the rest of the team did what they could for me. Shayne Pazyra: These guys are awesome! I got a flat tire at work on Saturday night after a 8 hour work day on the coldest day in Boston in years. Every single tire place was closed after 4pm-6pm.Triple A didn’t arrive until 4 hours later (6:30) and Abe’s came to the rescue. I called and they were so kind to me on the phone and said they could take care of me as long as I’m there before 8pm.I was welcomed by most of the staff, assured, and taken care of in about a half hour. Zhenhua Zhang: I used this location twice for oil changes. The first time I took my husband's CRV which was only a few years old at the time and they told me the brakes were failing and I had to get them changed out because it was a safety concern. I went ahead and had them do the work. I went back a few weeks later in my car for an oil change (I drive by this location every day so it was convenient) and I got the exact same message. My rear brakes were failing and were a safety hazard. I better get them replaced or I was going to get into an accident. So given I had heard the exact same thing now twice for two vehicles that I had just come in for routine oil change I declined to do the work. My car has been absolutely fine and passed inspection 3 years each time since I was told my brakes would fail imminently. My husband's crv brakes on the other hand that I spent much money on to fix at this shop have utterly failed in just a few years. The terrible scraping noises it made did not give us confidence they worked nor that the car will pass inspection that is due. We just had them switched out at another shop. Despite driving by this store almost daily I will never be using their services for anything again. I have seen other posts now warning about the brakes here. Pete Shinn: TLDR: Never, ever use this business. They apparently enjoy preying on young women there.The details: I encouraged my niece to use this business because of its positive Google reviews. What a mistake. She went for a vehicle inspection and was told by Dennis Cassidy she couldn’t legally drive the car without getting a front break job, complete with new rotors and calipers— calipers which are available at any auto parts store for $75 or less, and for which she was charged nearly $500 each, before labor! That might be OK, except when she left after paying a grossly inflated price for the coerced break job, Dennis warned her to bring it right back if the vehicle made any funny noises. When it predictably did start making grinding and screeching noises every time she touched the brakes within hours after paying and leaving, my niece, as instructed, brought it back right away. Although Dennis had the car for two full days after my niece returned it, they never looked at it, and eventually my niece had to go demand her vehicle back from them, unrepaired. This is a business that preys on the unwary. They will definitely up charge you well beyond what’s reasonable, and you may or may not get your car fixed in the end, even after paying an inflated price.Service:Vehicle safety inspection

Brianna Bettinelli: This is my second time going to Ted at Foreign Auto Center and both of my experiences have been fantastic. Once for a coolant leak and another time for new brakes on my Audi A3. Ted is so very kind, trustworthy, communicative, punctual and he definitely knows his stuff. He is very honest and never tries to upsell nor does he try to force additional services down your throat. Pricing is incredibly reasonable and they always get the job done well within the time frame that he tells you. One thing I really appreciate about Ted is that he's always willing to explain what the issue was, how it was fixed, and even goes out of his way to show me the parts he's fixed/replaced to so I can have a visual and learn a bit more about my car. Ingo M: I have used Foreign Auto Center several times over the past 3 years, initially for a pre-purchase car inspection and since then whenever I had issues with the car. Prices are low, repairs are performed fast, well and everyone is friendly. I had asked to park my car a few days on their premises until I had received my license plates after the purchase (which was at the time no problem). If you want be sure to receive great service at low prices from a reliable team, you have found your place. The oldest review on google for Foreign Auto Center is 8 years old, and until today almost exclusively 5 start reviews, no 1 or 2 star reviews. That is quite impressive.

Called weeks beforehand and they kindly gave me rough quote with different price range (since the exact part need to be measured). The service was great. I didn’t know the exact diagnosis of my A/C problem and they could have easily unsold or said a more extensive repair was needed. Jenna Port: I needed to have the wheel locks taken off my car (the key had been stripped) and these guys not only did in ten minutes but also charged significantly less than every other place I called. Aravind Byju: My car broke down close by the shop and Mark was extremely helpful and flexible for me getting my car fixed. They allowed me to leave it at the shop over the weekend and Oudy the mechanic took a look at it first thing in the morning and provided great service. They were very reasonable with changing my alternator and I would highly recommend their services, I'll be definitely coming back!

When we went to pick it up, after the run, they saw that my father in law was limping and stopped him, said “don’t take another step” and they changed that shi lickity split. Talk about class. Pedro Perez: I visited this shop on November 28, 2022, because the check engine light on my Mini Cooper went on. Oudy informed me that the thermostat needed to be replaced. I told him to go ahead, and he proceeded to replace the thermostat.About 2 weeks later, when I drove the car for the first time after the fix, the check engine light went on again. I went back the next day, on December 12, 2022, for the supposed warranty on his work. According to the invoice, the warranty is valid for two years and/or 24,000 miles. To my surprise, Oudy said that the thermostat was working fine but that now I needed to replace the fan and the water pump because they were not working and that the cost would be $1,200. I immediately got suspicious and picked up my car ASAP. I took the car to the MINI dealer, and they concluded that the water pump and fan were working perfectly fine and would not need to be replaced for many years, if ever. Then, they tried to bleed the coolant to see if that was the issue, but they told me that most likely the issue was the thermostat. Bleeding the coolant didn’t fix the issue, so they had to replace the faulty thermostat, and now the car works perfectly fine.Stay away from this place.
Sarah Moore: I know basically nothing about cars other than how to turn them on. I have gotten hosed in the past by other car detailers. When I got my most recent car I decided I would only go to one mechanic for everything. After a lot of due diligence I came here and I am SO glad that I did. The first time I came in there were a lot of repairs needed. I didn't know Oudy, but knew that he knew I knew nothing about cars. I called my brother in law who fixes cars on the side with the quote and he told me I was getting a very fair price and that whoever quoted me was an honest man. I trust my brother in law so I got all the repairs that Oudy recommended. Since then I've been seeing him for my maintenance and I love the guy. Super friendly, knowledgeable, and most importantly, kind! I would highly recommend this place. Cameron Ingram: Oudy is about as friendly and competent a mechanic as anyone could hope for.I had to have a defective tire replaced and he had the broker who provided it pay for the labor instead of passing the cost along to me, which I really appreciated. Also, he did some follow up work on a battery drainage issue at no charge.This is a guy who cares about his customers above all else which is super hard to find — I strongly recommend his shop!Edit: more praise for Oudy, who has since the review above taken my car in 3 separate times at no charge to isolate an electrical problem draining my battery. Rachel Shapiro: I drove over to John and Nick's first thing on a Thursday morning because my car was making some unusual sounds. Even though I didn't have an appointment, Paul came outside to listen - and even took a quick drive around the block to try and assess the issue. He suspected an exhaust system issue, so I left the car for a proper inspection. About an hour and a half later, Paul called me to let me know what the issue was. He had me come back to the shop so he could show me the problem with the exhaust sytem (I live very close, but he also offered to take a video to show me). Turns out the poorly maintained streets were beating the hell out of my undercarriage and the garage had even tried their best to reattach it when doing my inspection! I’ll be coming back on Wednesday to replace the undercarriage piece for good. Definitely a great place.

Andrew Nilson: Nate and his team have taken care of my cars for the last 8 years. Nate earned my trust on day one when I brought in my car and he opt in the car with me. Heard the sounds that was being made and immediately knew what was going on. He got under the car pulled something out that was loose and didn't need to be there and charging me $25. Since then I have definitely had to pay more money with more expensive repairs, but he is consistently repaired only what needed to be repaired and done it professionally. He will always recommend things when they are needed, but I have always found his pricing to be fair and his personability to be refreshing. He cares for his clients.

Two of the items on the inspection list were not providing adequate data, and whereas others might have taken the opportunity to charge me more, Nate correctly diagnosed that I had just had work done on the car and so needed to drive it for 50-75 more miles and return for a (free) re-inspection, which I did and it worked. I then used Nate to put on our winter tires. The owner always seems really invested in my car and is great about calling to explain whatever issues he’s found. They are also super speedy and it’s great that they are open 24/7 so you can pick up / drop off your car beyond standard business hours.
