Dig Time: Service is very questionable. We ordered drinks and just never received them. Sat for about 30 minutes. The young female bartender is very rude and not someone you want to interact with on a personal or professional level. Highly don’t recommend as there are a score of other places to go in the area for drinks. Wings were also dry as well.
Jaye Aster Broder: A go-to college pub, Grendel’s has a nice half-priced food happy hour from 5-7pm when you also order a drink. Grendel’sIs normally busy and a little loud. There are stairs down to enter. While in the basement, there are some windows that let light in. There is a moderate selection of beers on tap and cans as well as some simple cocktails. I would probably discourage large groups from coming here as it can be tough to find a table.

CJW: Bomb spot. Great divey, service industry hang. Rad folks, both those that work there as well as the people who frequent Grendel's. If Mal is on bar, get a green tea shot (Note: it contains alcohol), it is extremely tasty. Best part, it's tasty for any palette; it's not too sweet, not too sour/bitter, great complexities, and absolutely delicious flavour profile. Yummy! Brendan Chen: Been coming here for 3 years. Really good neighborhood pub with a mix of local Cambridge residents/families and Harvard students. Very very generous portions and the service is really good. They have on two separate occasions actually messed up my order where they gave me sweet potato fries instead of regular shoestring...and then just gave me my shoestring fries on the house! Their drink menu is very good and their sangria is top notch. Even if I move out of the area, will likely come back to eat here

Sanjana Shetty: If you want a place to go to in Central square where you can sit and watch games and drink beer this is not a bad option. However, I would not recommend this place for food or cocktails. We had the nachos and both times were not impressed. Their menu too is not friendly for people who don’t eat red meat and definitely not for vegetarians. We got an old fashioned and it was average at best. Overal, central square has numerous other better and cheaper places that one can go to.

Alexis C.: I came here on MLK Day and had the salmon tacos with truffle fries on the side. The fries were amazing, crispy with just the right amount of truffle. The salmon tacos on the other hand were bland. The salmon definitely needed seasoning. What they did get right is the amount of filling in the taco. They were generous with the size of the salmon piece, salsa, and other filling. However, I was sadly disappointed though re: the lack of flavor of the salmon.I won’t be rushing back here. 😢
