Dropping off was also a great experience. Dean handled every concern we had, and the drop off went as smoothly as it could be. They were great!

Kyia J: Unfortunately, my experience at this place was terrible. I had planned a trip to see a friend on saturday 2/11. I was under the impression that I was all set to rent a car after speaking to a very nice lady named Shannon on the phone a few days prior to my reservation. I thought it was great that they were double checking my confirmation. I briefly explained my situation with her over the phone in accordance to my temporary license. I also double confirmed with the RMV about the validity of my temporary license. To explain, my temporary license is a government issued piece of paper that may say "Class D Permit" at the top; However, it was interchangeable to a temporary license as stated on the "government issued document". So when I walked in at 9:00am, thinking I am all set, the lady at the front desk refused my temporary license because it said "permit" on it. Yet, it was no longer a permit, it was a temporary license. I was given authorization by RMV that the permit was now my "temporary license" and was also validated by the examiner on that paper. Meaning I had the right to drive by myself with that active temporary license. Additionally, I had all other supporting documents on hand to prove that I had an active license. Which, is stated on the Enterprise website. All in all, I think that the Enterprise website and the people that work at the Enterprise on River street in Cambridge should be a little bit more thorough with the information they provide instead of wasting peoples time. I would've never made the reservation with this place if my documents were not going to be accepted especially if it states that it will on your website. This is a caution to all those that carry any type of temporary license do not go to this enterprise. Try the one on commonwealth ave. As they were a lot more helpful.Best.

Caroline Klam: I could not be happier with the experience I had renting a car from the Enterprise location in Central Square in Cambridge MA. I rented a car for just a day while I was visiting in Boston - they didn't have the compact I had requested, but gave me a larger car which was very nice . . . the only problem - that someone had smoked in the car previously - wasn't obvious until I had driven off and started the heater. I pointed this out when I returned the car and they all checked it out, were very apologetic and addressed the issue with me. I had trouble connecting my phone to the car's system and Dean was very patient in helping me make it work. Jovi was alone with a line of people when I came to pick-up the car early on Sunday, she was efficient, patient and cheerful in getting all of us on the road quickly. Everyone was professional, efficient and just plain nice in meeting my needs - I will rent from them anytime I return to Boston.

Laila Nunes: Very unprofessional business. Thinking it would be nice to have a job here, my friend applied, was called for an interview and then he went. At this interview they implied that he had the position and to wait for an email with the next steps for the job. Days later the email sent said that they had filled the position. Why make someone feel as though they had the job then give it to someone else? It would have been better to say that they are still hiring and they will get back, but no, they told him he had the job. So like any person would, he stopped applying to jobs. Trying to find a decent driving job is hard in this environment and enterprise made it 100% harder. After deciding to apply to enterprise again because he didn’t know that he couldn’t, enterprise reached out for another interview at a different location and position. They emailed him asking for a phone interview. Knowing his name and information, they still followed through. After responding to them and then answering their call, the decide to now mention that he has to wait 6 months because he got “turned down”. when in reality they lied to him, said he got the job then turned around and filled that position without telling him and made him wait for an email. This situation could have went better if they had been honest and didn’t only care about themselves. How they treat their employees is how they treat their customers….

Ernie Mendez: I had origanally booked a rental with Hertz. When I arrived they did not have my vehicle that was promised. They were rude and not very accomadating. I was going to Virginia that day and only had an hour to find another rental because it was on a Saturday and they all closed at noon. I went to Enterprise in Somerville. They had the rental I needed. They were very friendly , accomadating and understanding. Even less expensive. I made it there a half hour before they closed. I can not thank these people enough. Upon returning my rental they were polite and professional. This whole experience with Enterprise was excellant. Shout out to Abdul and the gentleman that rented me the car that Saturday. Needless to say, going forward, Enterprise will be my only choice as my rental company. Thank you.
Emma Arsenault: The Sullivan Square (Somerville, MA) location of Enterprise is excellent. The car was clean and ready on time, and the employees was extremely professional. Pick up and drop off were smooth and easy with plenty of parking in the lot for drop off. The service at this location is leagues above the others in the area and I will definitely use this Enterprise for all rentals from now on.

Unfortunately, the company has a policy prohibiting customers from entering the building (waiting room, counter) even with masks and social distancing. But when I arrived at this location, Manny Aseme assured me that he would take care of me quickly and have me back on my way. That's exactly what he did!Service with a smile and a purpose. Manny was personable, his customer service was amazing, and his positive energy was appreciated!

Santosh Raikar: The Enterprise-Rent-a-Car on Commonwealth Avenue has really some dubious practices. I made a reservation for a 3-day rental on February 19, 2023. The email confirmation had a rental rate of $53 per day with a total cost of $167.91 including the taxes, fees, and Enterprise Plus discount of 5%. When I showed up to rent the car, a recently graduated Florida Man showed me on his iPad a cost of $324. When I showed the email confirmation, he revised it to $176.36 with a per day rental rate of $53. However, when I continued to argue for the total price of $167.91, I had to go back to the office and speak to the manager. The funny thing is neither of them could figure out the 5% discount. Anyway, in the name of customer service (but really because there was another screaming customer for a similar rip-off), the manager offered me a rental at a total cost of $118.45 – a whopping $50 discount as he claimed. Of course, the moment I returned home, I realized that the manager had deftly reduced the rental period to two days. I returned the car on Sunday and the next day the customer service representative called me with a final bill of the same $176.36 and he wanted to understand if I would rate the rental customer service experience at 5*! I just couldn’t believe it! I know this is all about measly $9 but I am just appalled by the audacity of the manager who tried to hoodwink me in believing that I was getting a $50 discount. Despite staying right next to the rental car location in Brookline, I rarely rent at this location. The experience has convinced me that I am better off going to Hertz in Copley Square where I can use my President’s Circle benefits.
David Leifer: We have rented from the Comm Ave, Boston, Enterprise on a number of occasions and it has always been an excellent experience. Most recently (03/23), Anthony picked me up from the auto body shop where our vehicle was being repaired. He was on time, professional and friendly, and quickly got me to the Enterprise office where I was speedily checked out. Enterprise's coordination with our auto insurance company means we always get through the paperwork quickly and have the payment processed directly. The car we received was clean and ready to go. And returning the vehicle was equally fast and easy. I highly recommend Enterprise and all of the staff at the Boston location.
Christine Hintlian: Kirk who is one of the employees at Enterprise was extremely accommodating and very helpful. I had left my garage remote in the rental car and it was difficult to track it down. Kirk went out of his way to contact the person currently using the car, and was able to get it back for me. He is very customer service oriented and will go out of his way to ensure your rental experience is as smooth as possible. Renting from Enterprise in Brookline was a great experience.

Several staff members were there, including Delina and the site manager, Alex. Everyone was pleasant and welcomed me with warm smiles and pleasant greetings. Jacob Stanton: I was forced to use Enterprise for a rental car after an accident because my insurance company has a deal worked with Enterprise for a set rate. They cannot provide me with a comparable vehicle compared to mine they cannot provide me a safe vehicle and they have proved this multiple times as I've gotten a car with a expired safety inspection and leaky tires and also got a car that smelled of dog that makes my eyes water and nose itch. The staff at the Chelsea location do not do their job to make sure I am in a comparable vehicle and they are very rude and do anything other than their job as have a pizza party behind a petition with one person in the front with people waiting to go pick up their kids from school.And listen and talk about their personal life more than I heard them talk about doing their job as getting me a comparable vehicle. Also have no regard for my safety when I inform them that the car had leaky tires and a bad safety inspection they told me to drive it 45 minutes to their location.I believe it's called a monopoly when I am unable to use another company due to the rates that they have set with the insurance company and I would have to pay out of pocket to use another company.And instead of finding me a comparable vehicle the Chelsea location tells me to call other places to see if I can find one why is that up to me. I know because they were too busy having their pizza party not worrying about with his o to me their number one job is to provide me with a safe comparable vehicle and they are not doing that and are still charging me.After call corporate and seeing other people called with no prevail..I'm going contact Massachusetts Commissioner of Insurance & Better Business Bureau

Chananya Dimitrakopoulos: Just no.I got a rental car because I had an accident but where I live needed resident sticker. I had to apply for rental resident sticker online but Boston Parking website seemed to be down and I could not upload proof of my residency. I went back inside the office and asked if they could fax to parking clerk number and they said No. They told me to go to the building in downtown Boston (on State street) instead, I paid for parking $18 for a half an hour of parking. If they could have simply faxed for me, so I didn’t have to waste my time driving and paid for parking. I would understand if they said they did not have a fax. But it is an office and they just simply denied me. I knew it was not their problem but service mind was 0/10P.S. do not use their ezpass. Crazy fee. It was charged about $60 with about $25 service fee. I should have used pay by plate instead.
Mercy Rodrigues: My mom had a reservation transfer to this Chelsea location, we were stuck in traffic and she pleaded with the attendant to please wait for her 5mns, and he refused to wait for her. Once again she said I will be there at 5:05 please wait for me and he refused to wait for her, he said we close at 5 and I can’t wait for you. We were at the parking location at exactly 5:05 pm after breaking out of traffic, there was one person leaving who just looked at us and left and someone else in a car. What kind of costumer service is this, he couldn’t wait 5 mns. ???? I’ve always had great costumer service at other Enterprises and it’s so unfortunate that my mom had to deal with this kind of service.
Chantette Stallworth: I have always had a pretty good experience at this location, but last week on my way to work, on a Friday a maniac hit and ran on me. I thank God I wasn’t hurt, just a little sore, I desperately needed a car it was now Saturday. I was helped by Alexis Gabel and she was so awesome in helping me in my stressful time of need. I am forever grateful and thankful to Mrs. Alexis Gabel. She is truly a gem. Thank you again for your patience and your professionalism.
Kai Malone: Love the staff. Professional and friendly. This is my new place to rent from, they have the better selection for me. Alexis was so awesome. She went above and beyond. George was friendly and knowledgeable. I really appreciate the great customer service.

They charged me more than what we agreed on and that wouldn’t be a problem if I done something wrong but I even cleaned the car beforehand and the bigger lady sitting at the front desk just ignored my questions and told me “okay talk to your bank, I don’t wanna deal with you” it’s so unprofessional like I have a concern and she just told me to get out. The people they have here it’s horrible. This lady should be fired because they lost me as a customer and it’s threatening to the company because they can lose much more with that type of people working there.

Nancy Behrmann: Wonderful experience. Fast, friendly service.
JT: This was my first time renting with Enterprise. I used the app to “skip the line” and went straight to the garage for pickup. It took me a while to get ahold of someone who seemed to want to help me. Once she saw my pass, she kind of just aimlessly wandered around the garage for 5-10 minutes looking for my rental and eventually coming back and giving me the rental I was standing directly next to the whole time… really just strange. The car itself was nice, I selected the “luxury” option. When I went to check out, everything seemed to go smoothly enough, however a few minutes after leaving my credit card company notified me of potential fraudulent activity. Apparently Enterprise tried to charge me $141 (the amount of my rental), another $140 (this charge is still pending on my account TWO WEEKS later), and $440 which is what set off my credit card company. My credit card straight up denied the $440 which is fine by me. I didn’t have any issues returning the vehicle the next day. Why do they need to charge someone over $720 for a $140 rental..? If I was renting for a week and the cost was say $600, would they have hit my card with $3k? Just seems ridiculous. No where in my rental documents does it state that they are going to hold onto this kind of money for weeks when I rent a car. It’s as if they just expect me to destroy something. In the end, I will have to heavily consider using Enterprise again in the future.Edit: it took 12 weeks to have the $140 hold removed from my credit card. It took several emails and phone calls as no one from Enterprise seemed to care about me at all. If I hadn’t persistently tried to get ahold of someone, I’m sure I would still have the hold on my card to this day.
Tyler Faber: Left a base to a car seat buckled into the second row of the vehicle we rented. Conveniently they don’t have a phone number to contact them. Filled out a lost and found with their customer service and some how the vehicle with the base of a car seat attached to the second row was not found.
Maria Ramirez: Rented a car for the weekend a few weeks ago at the Enterprise location in Malden. Unfortunately, the car smelled like cigarettes. We tried to air out the car before using it but had no luck. We called back and there was no availability for another rental. I called around to all nearby locations but customer service advised going to Logan Airport location. We arrived and Ricardo S. was quick to help us out! He found us an identical car and was able to check us out within 15-20 mins. Another plus is he put in a note and allowed us to return the vehicle at the Malden location. Saved our weekend for sure- thank you Ricardo!

All the agents I encountered understood my situation and helped me as much as they could in a difficult situation. I will always remember the kindness they showed me on that awful trip.
h h: When having a problem, enterprise asks you to call customer service. I did and operator had such a thick accent she was barely understandable. VERY VERY difficult conversation, finally after asking to repeat what she so many times it became apparent I wasn't going to get help.
