Cafe Mami: what do users think?
Vincent Cheung: Very authentic curry spot with very limited seating. The pork katsu was very tender and crispy even when it was drenched in their curry. The ratio between the curry, rice, and katsu was also perfect so there was nothing left on the plate.Recommended dishes Pork Cutlet Curry …More

Thomas Farrell: Fantastic food. Polite staff. The location has a number of small open Japanese restaurants, like a food hall but it was there before food halls were a thing.Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Miso Soup, Salad, Breaded Chicken Cutlet Curry Dinner …More
Tunc Oz: A hidden gem, incredible prices and portions.

Kyle Becker: Recommended dishes Breaded Chicken Cutlet Curry Dinner, Gyu DonMore
David Kim: Won’t even follow basic instruction - asked to get the sauce on the side and they drenched my katsu in their awful sauce.
Lydia Chew: This cafe is part of the mall's "food court" and eating here was a really strange experience. As a first-time customer, I was quite confused with what to do or where to wait. It turns out that you first get in line and order, but you aren't seated right away. The idea is that you'll be seated around the time that the food is ready, as a way to minimize how long you're sitting there. I can respect the reasons for that, but it definitely isn't my preferred style of dining. Apparently, several of the spots in the food court operate in the same way, including the adjacent ramen place, though I haven't tried it yet.Pictured are the saba miso set (bottom) and chicken tatsuta set (top). I love fish and usually opt for salmon, but I was convinced to try the mackerel, a "traditional Japanese favorite" (according to the menu). The mackerel had a few bones but was fine. There was quite a lot of sauce, which I was glad to use as a topping for my rice. However, the salad was pretty bland and uneventful, and I was just a little confused by the potato. It was okay, but I had just never seen that combination in Japanese cuisine before.I didn't finish all the food - not necessarily because the portions were that large, but just because it wasn't that tasty to me. I think I may have been more interested in the salmon veggie don instead. The dishes here aren't very expensive, but I'd probably opt for a different option instead of trying the food here again. While I understand the reason for it, I didn't love feeling rushed out of there, which definitely colored my perception of this spot.Vegetarian options: not a lot of vegetarian options
Juewei Dong: Great culet Don and Gyu Don, tender protein with just the right amount of seasoning. The price is also very reasonable. I’ve been to restaurants that charge you way more for much less quality Donburis. If you want an affordable takeout but don’t want to compromise the food quality, Cafe Mami is one of the greatest choices in Cambridge area.
Siyi Lin: Good Japanese comfort food at an affordable price. Perfect for a quick and satisfying meal. Small but clean interior, likely to be busy but the line will move quickly. My party got the Gyudon, breaded chicken cutlet curry, and the hamburger steak curry. (My personal favorite is the gyudon because I love sweet and savory meat). The chicken was surprisingly tender as well.
Sarah Lu: Solid prices for the food. Would recommend the Hamburg or chicken dishes—small restaurant w very limited seating but cozy ambience and nice comfort food.
chunwei dong: I went there by myself around 3 PM saying I wanted to dine in. But the waitress didn’t seem pleasant for single dine in. She sent me outside to look at the menu on the wall for takeout. I looked at people dining in there and asked her “ what time did you stop taking dine in “. Then she asked me for the third time if I want to dine in like I was doing something awfully wrong. I confirmed. Then she yelled like there’s no tomorrow “ table B for 1 person” in that 70 sqf space. For the first time I’ve ever experienced such a discrimination for being just 1 person even though there’s nobody else waiting. food is salty and taste boring. It may deserves two or three stars but the service I receive really brought down the whole experience.
Simon Zhang: Really hits the spot. I think it's cash only.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Pork Cutlet Curry …More

Mari: Don’t get the udon.Do get the beef rice dish (yaki don) with extra beef.
Victoria P: The hambagu is definitely the standout dish. The portion size is sooo filling but you can also order an upsized hambagu steak. I love all of the sauces and that it comes with a little baked potato as well. The hambagu itself is always perfectly cooked and so juicy. I’ve had it through uber eats as well and haven’t experienced any loss of quality.Overall you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu— it’s also such a great deal for the price! However it’s very very small with limited seating so plan to arrive early or wait ~15-20 min during busy times.
Jason Wong: Exceptional food and quick service. Inexpensive and large portions. Same recipes for over 20+ years. My go to place for when I want something fast and still healthy.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Parking space Plenty of parking Parking options Paid parking lot, Free street parking, Paid street parking …More

Tampopo: what do users think?
Makaila Pollard: NEVER AGAIN HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE
Samantha DiPrisco (Sam D.): one of my favorite spots, can't wait to come back!Parking: main lot is kinda small, so if its busy parking might be a bit of an issue - but its free on sundays. Also, if you dont mind walking the next st over is Porter Sq shopping center. both are right off the red line
Scott Sullivan: Amazing curry, so rich and tasty. Also enjoyed the takoyaki and tempura vegtables very much. Service was stellar, she was busy but managed the tables very well and friendly. Excited to return.
Patryk Maciak: My family love this place. Tasty, authentic and affordable. Having traveled to Japan, this is the real deal. Love their Tonkatsu curry udon.
Xin DONG (Robert): Recommended dishes Tea and Miso Soup, Tempura Entree, Kara-Age Chicken, Shrimp Tempura Udon, Fried OysterMore
Rajib Momen: Great chicken-based ramen broth
Takako Moriguchi: They serve authentic Japanese foods - the chef is Japanese. The menu is something very common in Japan - like Katsu curry, kimpira, onigiri, etc. if you want to experience true Japanese "greasy spoon" place in Boston, this is the place for you. The resultant reminds me of one of restaurants in Shinjuku station. They have fantastic selection for carry out too. Do you miss bento in Konbini (convenience store) in Japan? They have them!!
Gordon Fu: 味道很好,章鱼小丸子不是很推荐,是油炸的貌似,不是用小丸子机器做出来的。咖喱饭很好吃要是能多一点蔬菜就好了。
Lukas Röllin: Incredible place with amazing food and fair prices.
Tyler Busby: Great small little place, the pork katsu curry cheese really hits the spot.
Aaron Fan: They have soba noodles and it is good!
Sharon Liang: Kara age chicken and oyako were a bit disappointed
John John: One of the best Japanese curry ever in Boston. Try thr pork katsu curry. Katsu is thick and juicy unlike any other place in bos I have neen too.Parking: Pay parking at the building
patrick carroll: Absolutely delicious katsudon
Cameron Purdie: Amazing little place that sells Japanese street food, curries, fried chicken and pork, etc. Everything is fantastic and made with love. Hearty and filling but very affordable.
Andrew Reker: Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes Curbside pickup: NoMore
Elaine Yang: So delicious!! We ordered seafood tempura udon, katsu don, chicken pop and fried oyster. They are all super tasty!! Fried oyster is a must-have :-)
Pretty Varghese: Sweeeetest owners. They're fantastic at frying. Each dish feels like a hug in a bowl.

Amy L: Just adequate. I am a big Go Go Curry fan and the locations in New York are a lot better. Sorry ¯_(ツ)_/¯
RV: The "veggie" curry was a disappointment. Some curry sauce over rice with some shredded cabbage on the side.Food: 1/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 3/5 …More
Jason: Curry is very mid. Way too sweetFood: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 2/5 …More
Pack 50 Milk Street: It is ok curry.
Vladimir Pires Junior: Comida razoável, ambiente barulhento e limpeza deixa a desejar.
Lydia Chew: It's a food court meal, so I'm not expecting much - but it's the food court at an H Mart, so I am used to something better than this. We went on a Sunday at lunchtime, so it was quite busy since that's a popular grocery shopping time. There aren't a lot of options at this H Mart food court, so I decided to give Go Go Curry a chance simply because I haven't tried it before. However, from now on I'll definitely be sticking to the ramen counter next door. There are a decent number of curry options with pork, chicken, shrimp, fish, or tofu. However, they all use the pork curry, so you have to specifically request it if you want the veggie curry.I ordered the fish katsu. The katsu itself was fine, and the curry had a bit of a kick but was not particularly tasty. It's served on white rice and raw cabbage - don't expect a lot of rice, and the salad is neither fresh nor good.A definite 1-star. It wasn't cheap enough to warrant spending the price of a meal on food that wasn't very good, and I left still hungry. I certainly would not order this again, and I won't be back at the curry counter to try anything else, either.
Terance Booth: While the chicken katsu curry was very flavorsome and absolutely delicious, I have to say, they're very stingy about the other ingredients. I decided to add on pork sausage for an extra fee of 2 dollars. When I received my food, there was one, very tiny sausage added. Feels like a huge rip off. The sausage was tasty but was definitely not anything special, a low quality inexpensive sausage for 2 dollars? I would have been okay with it, if they had added at least 2, 1 dollar each sure...but realistically they should have added 4 of those tiny things.Over all the food is what you would expect if you're craving a decent pork, chicken or even fish katsu curry, they have tofu as well. But just maybe keep it simple, they don't seem to do well with proportions and prices when it comes to extras.Vegetarian options: They have a tofu katsu curry, I'm not sure if the meal is vegan but it's certainly devoid of meat.
caroline: Crispy katsu paired with delicious curry = happy stomach.Katsu breading is crunchy, flaky, and seasoned well. Shrimp tempura was the same but a bit greasy. The curry had great flavor and a bit of a kick, which perfectly enhances the flavors of all the other elements on the plate. Sausage had the crunch and was super juicy. Slaw was a good break from all the flavors and fried food. The curry dish was a great meal overall.Unlike many of the other reviews, I think this place is pretty solid (I've only been here a couple times as of this review). The prices are pretty good and the meal is satisfying and tasty. I call that a win in my books. The food also comes out relatively quick (depending on the traffic) and the seating area is decently clean.Keep in mind, the Go Go Curry is in Hmart, so it's not necessarily the place you take someone visiting the area. But it definitely is a great spot for a quick lunch or dinner if you're nearby.
SunAh Jeong: Overpriced poor quality katsu…
J Cha: Curry and pork katsu was delicious but shrimp tempura was raw. It was still translucent instead of solid white
Kenneth Irons: Experience unique Kanazawa style curry at this authentic location in Hmart! The staff is so wonderful and they do a great job with caring for the food. Having eaten Go Go Curry in Boston, NYC, and Tokyo, I'm happy to say the quality is consistent and definitely worth the trip to try.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Kevin Kim: bruh what happened to the rice? you guys used to have the best rice but now it’s like the worst quality rice I’ve ever had. also the portion sizes got so much smaller
Fito H: The food was hot but tofu was cold, the taste was acceptable, not overly flavorful and a bit watery
Nana: Really good! I’ve been ordering from this location after first trying go go curry in nyc. The nyc one I went to was better, but this one is also really good! Not expensive, and honestly one of the best shrimp tempura in Boston.
Storm: A great place to curb your tonkatsu craving right before shopping in hmart. Nothing fancy but generous portions and reasonably priced for the area. I got the home run for $21 and it was perfect for 2 people.
rakesh dhawan: I really like the Tofu Katsu Curry, it is filling and flavorful. Nice to have veggie curry option of this Japanese dish. Quantity of the gravy could be more for the larger meals.Vegetarian options: Tofu and Veggie Tempura Options with Veggie Curry Option
nikola petrov: Great place with good prices and service
Tommy Tsai: Sub par curry even compared to other Go Go Curry location. Cheap pork and rice used.
Ava: Such a great meal. Chicken Japanese curry is the best.Dine in: Yes Takeout: Yes Delivery: Yes …More
Amy cho: 뉴욕에서 먹던 고고커리 생각하고 오더했는데. 실망했습니다.

KC Chen: Everything at the restaurant was great especially the yakitori! The vibe was nice, staff was friendly and very efficient. Super affordable! There is a line so do make reservations ahead of time!Would definitely recommend!
Marc: When asked by a friend how the food was, "Love in a bowl" was the first thing that came to mind.Absolutely incredible.
Tian Zhao: Our first visit since its relocation from Allston. Grilled hokke (atka mackerel) was too salty, and fried beef tongue was a bit overcooked. The others were pretty good. Would recommend fried oysters, chicken namban, and yakitori.
Jiayu Shi: I really enjoyed the food at this restaurant and plan to come back often. However, I've noticed that like some restaurants in Boston, the waiter swipes your card in front of you at checkout and asks you to enter the tip in front of them. The minimum tip amount is set at 18% of the total price after tax, with tipping options of 18%, 20%, and 22%. Personally, I don't appreciate this type of behavior from restaurants and it makes me uncomfortable.
Ryan Wetzel: We've gone out to the new hot spots all over and come to realize, some of the absolute best are the staples that have been around for the long haul. Varied menu from yakitori to sashimi to noodles, you won't find better Japanese food in Boston. Prices are reasonable and solid selection of Japanese beers and sake. Took me 20 years to find this gem and will definitely be back.
Nicholas Panzarella: Great Japanese cuisine. Authentic, too!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Bella Wang: Okonomiyaki was tasty. I’m not a connoisseur but it was satisfying. I’m mostly reviewing this so I can remind myself never to order the sushi again. It’s terrible and not fresh. It came out last because I think they were defrosting it. Rice was soggy and unseasoned too.
Nhu Phung: Great food! Taste like Im back in japan, highly recommend everything--okonomiyaki, skewers, nigiri etc.
Biao Li: In comparison to other Izayaka locations in Boston, this is by far the best one. Super busy on weekends but well worth the wait. Friendly staff and service.

zac a: Coming from the west coast (that's my hook), it was ok. The prices were reasonable, and so was the food, not great, but reasonable. Wouldn't recommend the scallop hand roll (wasn't fresh to my taste), but the fish was good and fresh. I love Tobiko with egg, and was happy to see it on the menu, but it was goopy because they left the egg white (you're supposed to only use the yolk). The hand rolls are worth while, good price and quantity, get that.Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian rolls.
Brandi Peña: The Somerville location has better quality and taste of food.Food: 2/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Tim Russell: Vegetarian options: They have plenty of veggie rollsRecommended dishes Gyoza, Sweet Potato Tempura Roll, Roll …More
Kenneth Livingston: A little pricey but great sushi!
Guangyang Li: Food is fine but overpriced
Mike Dunn: Kind of blah
Stephen Yuwono: The taste is superrrr terrible. The worst Japanese food I’ve tried in USA. The cooking oil also bad, got sore throat after eating here.
Stephen Zicha: Salmon and yellowtail Sashimi was great. But the signature ichiban sushi dish clearly had canned tuna. Will not order that again.
Drenusha Krasniqi: The rolls are tasteless (we had three different rolls). And the veggie dumplings are okay. Definitely not worth the price.
Nathaniel Huang: Don't come to this place, if you value cuisine in any way, shape, or form do not come here. I am in no place to argue prices but for what we got for the price at which we got it, I have nothing else to leave with other than a feeling of deep dissatisfaction. Not only did they charge nearly $3 for a cup of tea, an offering usually synonymous with a free glass of water when it comes to Asian restaurants, but there were numerous points at which I was concerned with overall cleanliness. I still want to provide something positive and have this be somewhat legitimate criticism rather than a spirited rant so I will say that the service was decent and the food alright. Nothing more than an average if not slightly below average restaurant.
KAINOA A: Absolutely love this establishment and location. The server and staff are always so friendly! Food is always consistent and so tasty and very reasonably priced! Always come to this location and does not disappoint at all. Recommend!!!
Bo Jiang: As a doordash guy, I am gaving one star because the lady manager behave in harsh, pushy, and unprofessional way.
