Lynn Khosla: As a property owner seeking a management company, I expected to find a competent, professional property management company after appropriate due diligence – and I did. However, I didn’t expect the superlative level of personal attention, individual analysis and knowledge of the local property market, immediacy of response, attention to detail, and personable individuals as I am privileged to work with at Real Property Management/Commonwealth. In my initial research I learned that each office is independently owned and operated, and I knew that would make a difference. I also liked the fact they do not advertise on craigslist. Bud Gaffney and Glyn Anderson have provided the best service possible, and I look forward to a long working relationship. All the benefits of being a property owner with none of the headaches – I wish I had done this years ago!

Sarah Senkfor: Kyle is extremely on top of everything. I’ve had several other landlords in the Boston area who have been fine, but never amazing. My roommate and I have lived in our new place for less than 2 weeks and are already extremely impressed with the communication, speed, and attention to detail from Boston Capital Management. The apartment was professionally cleaned before we moved in (NOT a common feat on 9/1 move in). We put in a maintenance request late last night for a minor dishwasher issue and management has already reached out before 9am today to schedule the repair. I genuinely hope I don’t have to move in the next few years so we can stay with this management company.

The apartment was in top notch when I first moved in 2 years ago and I strive to keep it the same because it just looks gorgeous. Within two weeks of engaging Kyle he helped increase rents to market value and had all units fully rented after resolving various appliance/lighting/lock related issues. Eric Reed: This is the best management experience I have had in the city of Boston. Management is responsive and attentive, and I have never waited longer than a few hours for a reply to my e-mails. Maintenance is typically done within 24 hours and is thorough (as opposed to many of the half-done fixes common to apartments in the city). The apartment itself is clearly well built and well maintained. I would recommend BCM to anyone.
Jessica Rand: I'm going on year 2 of living in an apartment managed by Boston Capital, and I honestly love them. Kyle is always very responsive and helpful with any issues we have. Recently we had an instance of our downstairs male neighbor being creepy and harassing us (there are 4 women in our apartment), and once we brought it up with Kyle, he took action and spoke to the neighbor to make sure they left us alone. As a woman, it always means a lot when a man takes your complaint seriously. I love living at this place and Kyle makes it easy to get things done.

Adrian (Duch): Poor communications with this firm. We used them to rent and manage our condo. We looked for new renters and followed up with the rep whom never gave us updates except the first initial request. Then fast forward 5 months I call them and the lady said she will get back to me but never followed up in 7 days. I call back and the rep said we got dropped and said a mail was sent out. We never received that mail which is why we were inquiring the whole time. We never requested to be dropped.I would heed caution using this property management company.
Elisabeth Burns: I moved across the country for my job and hate burdening friends and family with looking after my condo like I've done numerous times before for vacas and going abroad for weeks with my current job position. I decided to bite the bullet and researched property management companies in the Somerville/Cambridge area.After discussing options with a few, no one really impressed me or made me feel like I was putting my condo in good hands. When I called C Property Management, the owner Pietro scheduled an appointment with me and met me at my property. This wasn't an option with other property management companies I had contacted and was great for schedule since I travel so much. I was immediately impressed by Pietro's knowledge and attention to detail when he examined the condo. He has put me at ease and made leaving the Boston area tremendously easier knowing my property is in good hands.

Everything works really perfect, he quick in answering questions, and knows whom to contact if things have to be renovated. Without his help and hos trustworthiness things would not work for me.

Nicholas Limerick: Not entirely sure what we paid them for. The developer who renovated our SouthEnd brownstone signed the contract with Platinum and we inherited them as our HOA manager. The delay on responses was often 3-7 days. When we had a major water leak across several units Tim wasn't able to coordinate the other unit owners, suggest contractors, or really help in any way so it fell to us to resolve and repair the issue. After several requests went un answered for stairwell carpet quotes, hall mailboxes and other similar common space improvements we did the work ourselves. When we terminated and contracted a new HOA manager Platinum was extremely slow in transferring over docs and our funds. Maybe they just don't understand SouthEnd properties but I would not recommend them as an HOA manager to anyone.
Rachel Jackson: As property managers to the apartment we live in, Matt and Tim at Platinum Realty have been so so helpful. Quick, response, helpful and kind. I can't recommend them enough.
Not your average Insurance guy!: Platinum Realty Group truly is a leader in the industry! The maintenance response time is impeccable. I highly recommend them for my tenants and any other complex for that matter!

In less than 3 weeks, Matt and his team repaired the entire list of open maintenance items which caused my tenants to change their mind of moving out. Literally switching management companies to Platinum, saved the tenants that I have and love. Thank you, Matt!
Iman Moawad: I was looking for a specific list of items in a condo but honestly good building management wasn't something I considered until I had to deal with the absolute worst company for the first few months after moving in. I'm talking alarms going off for days, elevator going down the day before my move-in with no warning or apology or accountability, the parking structure being down with our cars stuck 10 feet in the air, etc. And while all of these may be normal growing pains of a new building, we were treated so poorly by the building management when we would call to ask for assistance that most of us gave up and stopped calling. Thankfully, Tim of the Platinum Realty Group took over and to say it was a breath of fresh air is a complete understatement. He deals with things proactively rather than retroactively, keeps open lines of communication, and is so pleasant to speak with. I am so grateful that they took over!

These guys are the WINNERS! - or more importantly, we are the winners for hiring them.The best way for me to describe how good they are is to compare Platinum to our previous property manger is to list all the things they do right:1. They provide organized and detailed financial statements, budgets, long-term planning in order to maintain property value, and they keep a good eye on the reserves of the future.2. They have construction knowledge and know what to do when things break.3. They have a comprehensive list of professional service providers and repair consultants so when things do go wrong, they can call someone over quickly - roofs, elevator, cleaners, gardeners, alarm services, etc.4. They are able to do the legwork to get detailed bids, negotiate, and oversee projects so that we are using the best service people.They are responsive by email and phone when they are needed.5. They even helped me source a service person to do some work inside my unit6. The understand insurance and contracts.The property manager we had before Platinum was disorganized, inexperienced, and useless. Two years into that contract and we knew we need to find another property manager.We have been with Platinum for a little more than 2 years and we are so grateful to have found them. And finally, we are a small building with just 8 units. Most property managers didn't want to work with us because of our size, but we are thrilled that Platinum took us on as a client.

Estefania García: My husband and I Have been trying to reach the Manager of the Lexington property in Sarasota, FL and they do not return phone calls....The one time we got them on the phone (9/13), we were told they would call back before the end of the day with answers....Today is 9/16 and still no call back and still no answers....They do not return calls and they steal your deposit.....They wrongfully accuse you with no details and refuse to handle the situation....DO NOT rent from any of their properties....

Ghoul: My dear old mother’s retirement fund continues to dwindle as her fees increase . I’m appalled that Thayer and Associates will not allow my poor mother to enjoy sitting by the pool on one of her last summers. My mother and many others in her building are unhappy with Thayer and Associates and if they do not meet our demands then change will come and they will no longer be in business with this company.
Sarah Iwany: Thayer and Associates was responsible for some of the worst planning and building management I’ve ever seen. They make up ludicrous rules and don’t fix things in a timely manner. Extremely disappointing.
James B: WORST EVER, horrible management! Thayer manages condos where we live. We are very disappointed with the firm and staff. The handling of multiple issues confirms consistent disrespect of owners' rights and lack of focus on owner / customer service. Their primary concern was mostly financial and legal - i.e. how to protect their own interests and push costs of any issues or damage to the owners. It usually took forever to get an issue resolved.
