Residence Inn by Marriott Boston Cambridge: what do users think?
Andrew Dykeman: Absolutely loved the staff. Room was well setup.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jaclyn Capalbo: The people here were so unbelievably disrespectful. There was a man harassing us all night. Instead of them understanding that a grown man should not be harassing and stalking young girls, they kicked us out. We were quiet and respectful the whole night but a random old man had a vendetta against us starting at 6pm because we were young. We were trying to go to sleep and the front desk called us saying we were evicted. As we were already asleep. They showed us absolutely no respect and we payed so much money. If you’re young don’t come here even if you’re absolutely silent. So much disrespect went on tonight. Now we have nowhere to stay and we’re on the streets of Boston as young girls. They don’t care!
Jas “#”: I don't know why this place has Marriott in its name ! My critique here will probably not do any justice to our hollow "transit camp" like experience at this hotel. But here is a bullet list for you !!- The receptionists at the front desk were pretty crude. Didn't care to even stand up once through the entire checkin process. Didn't tell us about any amenities. Nothing !!- The bathroom sliding door was half off its rails and wouldn't slide. So we had to practically lift it and move to get into the bathroom.- A concealing Panel below the Sink would come off on the slightest touch.- Breakfast is at different times everyday. Get ready to carry a notebook around, you may have to take notes.- They would not let you get breakfast if you are a minute late. Doesn't matter if they have to throw away their entirely massive array of gourmet selection. (Pun intended)- Our keys got disabled after breakfast, I guess they were asking us to leave. When I asked the receptionist why it happened, her response was "you must have done something". So I guess I did the same thing to both our keys. How likely is that ?We were so happy to get out of this depressing place. I feel guilty now, we could have just used Airbnb and donated the extra money we spent to a good cause.
Lisa Sanchez: Home away from home. I've been here four times already and I will continue to come back. Clean, comfortable, and friendly staff. Great location.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
양효선: 너무 깨끗하고 넓다. 가성비의 최고의 호텔..4성급인듯보인다.. 하루를 묵는게 아쉬울정도..mit coop. 블루보틀이 바로 옆이다..최상의 컨디션 호텔.강추
Cheryl Smith: Nearby activities: Very close to MIT and Kendell SquareRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Quiet, Kid-friendly …More
Jesse Jacoby: Great location within a few minutes' walking distance to MIT, many phara companies, restaurants, bars, etc. Nicely appointed rooms with small kitchenette including full-size fridge with ice maker, microwave, utensils, dishes, sink, and dishwasher. Decent coffee maker to boot. Rooms were nicely laid out with subtle signs of wear. Nice clean shower, but with wall-mounted liquid soaps that got in the way. Pretty nice and well-equipped gym except for the elliptical which was in desperate need of maintenance. Fairly expensive for what you get, but that's the deal in downtown Cambridge.
Michael Gonzalez: Best hotel if you need a kitchen.Rooms: They have a kitchen.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Susan Sewersky: Our new favorite hotel. Convenient parking and an easy walk to the T
Troy Jones: Always helpful and professional staff, recently remodeled and the larger rooms are perfect for a long stay. New bar downstairs is a great place to unwind!
Mary Ellen Tucker: Rooms: Includes kitchen and sofa. Large size.Walkability: Near Kendall Square. Easy subway to downtown.
Guideaux Badaduchi: The absolute worst service out of any Marriott. The breakfast and housekeeping staff were polite but Jordan M was the most disrespectful person I have ever met. Would never stay here again.Rooms: 4/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Patrick: Functional hotel in safe area with sub Marriott standard (e.g plastic plates and cutlery during breakfast)
Shashwat P. Baxi: Overall, a very nice hotel in a perfect location in the heart of Cambridge. Anyone looking for long-term stay, should definitely look at this hotel. I was happy with the size of the room, the fitness center, the location, and the complimentary breakfast given the price and the comparative rates in the area. I would absolutely stay here again if I needed a place with a kitchen and wanted to cook my own food.
親父潜水: キッチンや馬鹿でかい冷蔵庫やダイニングテーブルもありますバスタブがあるのが嬉しい窓際のデスクワークスペースも広くゆっくり仕事が出来ます
Eugene Ing: Location was good but upon arrival there was a sewage issue in the lobby that the staff was cleaning out. The lobby stunk and there was raw sewage in a bucket. While I can appreciate that things happen the staff was rude and unapologetic. Apparently another guest who was drinking in the bar area complained about the smell and said their drink should be compensated. The entire staff was fixated on arguing and justifying why this guest was not deserving of a free drink rather than doing the right thing, which seemed very telling about customer service. If you are staying for an evening and assuming nothing goes wrong the place is fine but if something goes wrong I wouldn’t expect anything to be done for you based on this experience.

Sonder 907 Main: what do users think?
Asaf Taragan: My first time in Boston was great thanks to Sonder !the room was great also as the locationthe room was super clean and the design easy and fresh made me feel like in home!!very comfortable bed !i'm highly recommend on that place !!love that Sonder and now love Boston as well!!
Alohi Adams: The room and bathroom was very spacious and beautiful! I booked this hotel for the location and it did not disappoint. Walking distance to Cambridge and MIT, one bus stop away from Harvard, and a couple bus stops away from Hynes Convention Center. I was nervous it was going to be loud with the upstairs and downstairs bars, but I never heard any noise the entire stay. There is no front desk, but the response times in the app are super quick if you need anything.
Ron Diskin: Such a gorgeous city. Beautiful building. Large apartment. Digital check in/check out. This company is all digital and was an amazing customer experience. Will definitely be coming back. Sonder is the future of hospitality. I suggest downloading and booking through their app for big discounts and best customer service
Danielle Abi-Saad: Noteworthy details: The lobby was very nice and i found the access code process very convenient.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great view, Quiet …More
noellette tangtrongsakdi: Great location easy access to trains, buses, stores, banks, and restaurants. Can wall to Boston and Newbury street.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Andrew Givens: Unethical - they do not disclose ahead of time that the hotel is not staffed, there's no breakfast, the rooms are smaller than they seem in photos, you need to upload your passport and take a selfie, verify your phone, use their app, etc. all with high risk of identity theft. Terrible!Rooms: 1/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 1/5 …More
Harry Minke: Always a good stay!Rooms: Clean and comfortable.Safety: Very safe and professionally protected property!
Cristiana Ceppas: The location was perfect for us. Walking distance to my daughter’s dorm at MIT and near Flour Bakery, plus other great restaurants. We left our luggage at the front desk before check in and did not return until after 8pm. By the time we returned, there was no one at the front desk. It’s not like a regular hotel where there is someone at the front until late hours. I called Sonder from the lobby about checking in and found out that they had taken our luggage to our room before they left.Great stay! Would definitely stay there again.Rooms: Very comfortable bed.Walkability: Super convenient. Easy walk to subway/ bus, restaurants
Pete Kealy: Clean, cosy and convenient location halfway between Harvard and MIT.Walkability: Close to the Red Line at Central Station, 4 minute walkRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Romantic …More
Sarah Paquette: So convenient ! Comfortable highly recommendRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jill Rudolph: We loved our stay….however, the pillows are too hard and there is a need for a shelf or two. Oh., and our coffee machine didn’t workRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Aaron Taddiken: I spent two days making a reservation with this place because the payment process kept failing. After patiently working through their systems and having my visa charged 4-5 times I finally got a confirmation and receipt (which required over 5 emails to me just for that last receipt…)Then I get a series of emails canceling my reservation with a reference to my payment being too risky and that the decision is final.I figure this must be a system mistake, right?NopeI called and was on hold for another 15 mins while the nice lady on the phone looked into it.She confirmed that they won’t host me and had no reason other than what was emailed.Very frustratingNot likely to recommend this place. Super shady.
Kiersten Sundell: Room was beautiful and clean, there were several great amenities available, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only thing I'd say is that the nearby parking garage, recommended by Sonder (55 Franklin St) is exorbitantly expensive. Unless you're okay with paying $80 for 25 hours of parking like we did, I would suggest finding somewhere else.
Benjamin Cross: Rooms: Nice room with comfortable bed that had lots of pillowsRooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights High-tech …More
Ben Allsopp: Such a lovely experience. Great location, checking-in was so easy, and the room was charming and immaculate. Would definitely recommend, excellent value for money.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Shua Son: Absolutely loved staying at this Sonder! This was my first time to the Cambridge/Boston area, and this was the perfect place to stay. It's a quick and easy walk to the subway, really close (I mean same building) to lots of great restaurants, and a quiet safe neighborhood. The room is clean and thoughtfully designed. Service is amazing—everyone in the lobby was kind and very helpful. The luggage storage was a great bonus. Hope to return again very soon, and will be recommending to all my friends!

A Cambridge House Inn At Porter: what do users think?
Kristian Soholm: Our room - mattress especially - had not been updated in 25+ years, with a tiny 15" flat screen for entertainment and only one night stand. About as uncomfortable as a bed can get. Desk clerk was curt and seemed tired of the whole thing. Christmas decorations were still up in mid-March . . .Rooms: 2/5|Service: 2/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Rafa O: Muy buena experiencia. Muy buen trato, limpieza, las camas muy cómodas.
Joey: Reconsider staying here if you plan to work, study, or sleep. The Wi-Fi was spotty at best, and there was an incessant tapping that turned into an aggressive knocking between 3 and 4 am. The location is literally the only good thing I experienced at this place.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 4/5 …More
John Smith: I was disappointed by the lack of empathy demonstrated by the staff at this hotel. When I suffered property damage during my stay, I noted it with the hotel owner, and instead of any empathy or help in the trying time, I was instead told that I was trying to make a fraudulent claim and that they wouldn't do anything to help. And instead of prioritizing customer experience for other guests, they invited me that if I cared so much, I should go annoy all the other guests by telling them about my problem one by one by knocking on their door rather than sending an e-mail or something else that isn't going to annoy everyone.I had already expressed empathy to them previously when, due to weather circumstances, I had to shorten my stay, and they had claimed it was not possible for them to refund me for the days I was unable to make it to the hotel. I understood that it was not their fault, and did not try to make their life difficult. I wish that they would have afforded me this same courtesy.
C Gags: Very quaint, quiet and clean. I would recommend it for anyone staying in the areRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Quiet …More
Ryan Johanson: Very clean and cozy BnB. Davis Square and the Davis red line station are just 5 mins walking from the hotel. Lots of fun shops and restaurants in both Porter and Davis. Great value as well. Visited Cambridge a few months prior to this stay, made the mistake of getting an overpriced AirBnb, never ever again. A Cambridge House is now my go to place to stay when visiting Boston, 100%.
Markus Dirmoser-Kume: it was ok for the price - nice locationRooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Oliver Janssen: I forgot my key at the office one night. When returning to the hotel I called the service number on the door, but no one answered. Somehow their system wasn’t accepting calls from my international number. I kept trying to reach someone for an hour but ended up having to look for another hotel to spend the night. In the end they refunded me half the price of 1 night. The whole thing cost me $100. I’m never coming here again and strongly recommend you to consider another option as well.
Jesse Dunn: Nice place, friendly staffRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
M L: Shame on the proprietors. Avoid this place!... unless you like running the risk of reserving a room as pictured on the website, then being led to a filthy, broken-down flophouse of a space in another building down the street. Absolutely disgraceful. And if that happens, don't be surprised if they charge you -- even if you walk out because of their bad faith business practices. They didn't even consider making it up to us, much less attempting to do so! I wouldn't know how nice a stay would be if they give you a proper room. Tragically bad way to do business.
Simona Renna: Le camere sono molto sporche e fatiscenti. La struttura non è curata e non è mantenuta. Se consideriamo anche il prezzo molto elevato, lo sconsiglio caldamente. The rooms are very dirty and run down. The structure is not cared for and is not maintained. If we also consider the very high price, I strongly advise against it.
Miro Gavin: Not for germaphobes. The covid precautions seem okay, but disinfected and sterile dirt on the sheets is still dirt on the sheets. Also, they had MOLD GROWING on the air conditioner. It's cold so it accumulates water, grows mold, and then because it grows on the air conditioner, the conditioner blows the mold spores everywhere. So disgusting, but I haven't gotten sick yet.
NewJak Executive Limousine: This Inn is very nice. They accommodated me very well. The staff is very responsive!Rooms: 3/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 4/5 …More
Peter: OMG what a nightmare! We booked the room 6 months in advance based on the nice Victorian room pics on website. Then when we checked in, he put us in the house next door with super small rooms, used garage sale furniture, old 20” tv (non smart tv) and nothing like the photos advertised! I went back to hallway and caught him walking in and told him this is unacceptable because we booked the Victorian rooms. He said others paid more for rooms so they got the Victorian rooms. I told him this is a bait and switch and he stormed off while I was still talking to him. Then we pulled covers back to check the sheets and there was a black hair on pillow case and a stain on sheet. My wife called on phone and asked if they could change the sheets? He yelled at her “you don’t like, you can leave right now!”… I started looking around for hidden cameras thinking surely we must be getting punked for a new reality show on Air BnB’s! It was like the soup guy in the Seinfeld TV series! This all happened in first 10 minutes of arriving. We checked hotels in area and all were booked so had stay here. But wait it gets better, upon leaving room to check out, the lock broke on door and we were literally locked inside our room and had to wait until someone could open door with key from outside! I won’t even mention the towels from Dollar store or the dirty trash cans never emptied outside on porches etc.. Also they advertise as Bed & Breakfast but they Do Not serve breakfast. They don’t even have fruit or water or anything like that. You’ve been warned!!!
Daniel Brodie: Easy drive from CT. It’s excellent, very convenient, clean, and close to the place I was taking my test! Great service and amazing location! I’m thoroughly satisfied, I definitely will come back.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Jody Ranck: Very clean, somewhat minimalist but nice accommodations.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Anthony Mack: This is a small hotel and thats what makes it great, personable, caring staff. Big, quiet rooms with comfy beds at a great price. Laundry and a 5 min walk to the subway and Davis square. Honestly pleasantly surprised and will be staying again when I come back to Boston!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Mohammad Heshmati: Clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff (although at times they didn't answer the phone, but they are very accommodating), great location (good restaurants nearby, close to Metro, a grocery store is right across the street). Parking is first-come-first-serve, but I didn't have a problem finding a spotRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5 …More

i M: Stayed here for 2 nights. Breakfast is on the same level as motels with little variety of food. It is not tasty. Very crowded with only a few tables. There was no seating so many people took their food to their rooms to eat. Also, there are two elevators and one is out of order so the elevators were always crowded.Rooms: 3/5|Service: 1/5|Location: 3/5 …More

Andrew Guiel: Location was great. Bed in room 611 was terrible.. It was so worn in. You sunk to the pit in the middle of the bed. Explained to reception my mattress was very uncomfortable and they apologized. I appreciate the apology, but I won’t be staying there again.I also see in previous reviews complaints about the mattresses. Apparently it’s not just me!!
A Lowry: I was really disappointed with this hotel. The rooms were clean but could use updating. Our tub has rust visible so taking a nice bath was out of the question. Unfortunately, our room faced a construction area (they did not work while we were there) but had bright lights on all night, you could hear others 3-4 rooms down so the walls are thin and the hot tub jets didn’t work properly. The free breakfast was pretty good and the staff attended that was very present to help anyone with anything. I wouldn’t stay here again unfortunately since it wasn’t a relaxing night as expected for a family.
Jeanie Inglis: The best thing about this hotel is that the breakfast is decent and I was pleasantly surprised about that. Also it is very close to the USS Constitution for some National Parks experience and near the water, which can be beautiful when it isn’t winter. But, there’s a lot of construction on the bridge next to the hotel and it is a bit of a hike across the footbridge (also doesn’t feel safe) to get to downtown and Little Italy. Our room was super outdated like Grandma’s room stuck in the 90’s. Stained lampshade, broken handles, stained tables. And the worst Marriott bed I have ever slept in. Looking at the bed it was literally slanted, so one side was considerably lower than the other. My husband kept rolling into me every night. And it was extremely soft and lumpy. They should have thrown out the mattress years ago. We opted for housekeeping service, but no one came during the 3 days we were there. No luggage rack, no extra towels as requested. We checked out and went to the Westin instead. I have stayed at other Marriott Residence Inns before and they’re really fantastic, but this one was a big disappointment.
jennifer hill: Rooms are a little outdated but clean and comfortable .Front desk was very helpful and accommodating at check in.Kitchens are well stocked, pots pans silverware even measuring spoons and a veggie peeler. Beds were comfortable and room was quiet.Location was great close to the garden, fanueil hall, north end , aquarium ,museum of science etc. All within 15-20 min walk and close to the T if you prefer to ride the subway.Great view of the bridge and the harbor.. Very pleased with everything and certainly will return♥️
Nat Tangpipith: Good value stay. Prompt check in, clean room, and friendly staffs. Breakfast buffet is included with sufficient options and wide selection of beverage. There are 2 options for parking: valet for $50/day or public parking lot near by for $32/day. Location is convenient near US Constitution, navy yard, and stop 3 of Old Town Hop on/Hop off tour all within 5 minutes walk. We were also lucky to get upgrade to king suite with harbor view. This hotel is suitable especially for family with children!
Robert Kalfus: GREAT hotel with terrific ambiance and location! Enjoyed the late afternoon happy hour when the hotel provided free beer and wine, and enough food to be called a dinner. Great to meet other visitors and share experiences and travel tips. The hotel is located at the base of the bridge, with piers and a small marina surrounding, makes for an enjoyable local walk and esdy access. Quiet. Only a few local restaurants.
Bren Leonard: Lovely hotel nestled on the river. Great location.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Ian Maclure: Great stay! I stayed for a week and enjoyed every day! Breakfast was great, the room was clean and well-appointed, and the service was friendly and professional. The location was excellent as well, 5 min walk to downtown, 2 min to the USS Constitution. I didnt have a car but noticed that it is pay-to-park here so that may be an issue for some.

A Friendly Inn At Harvard: what do users think?
Thorsten Ruppert: Kleines Hotel, sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Kleine Zimmer, wenig Platz und braucht eben eine grundlegende Modernisierung. Nettes, hilfreiches Personal.
Bill OLeary: Came home to Boston for my birthday. Was looking for a place near Harvard Square. For the price and location A Friendly Inn was the right choice. This house is amazing. I'm still trying to figure out how they got so many amazing rooms into this 3 story house. The people working here are warm and friendly. I definitely will be back.Rooms: Queen size bed with fresh linens. Four comfortable pillows and 2 decorative pillowsNearby activities: Harvard University. Multiple museums. World famous Harvard Square.Walkability: Chinese, Italian, Indian, and Korean within a 5 minute walk in Harvard Square. Local bus (route 69) stops within 30 feet of the address. Local train station at Harvard Square (Red line) that you can take to downtown Boston.
Katarina Antolovic: From the reviews, I knew this place wasn't updated, but I wasn't expecting the condition the rooms were in. My room had a quite dirty looking shower, a very uncomfortable mattress, and hair was everywhere (including inside the mini fridge). My card was charged two days into my 5 night stay, which is also quite uncommon. The one thing that made me the least comfortable during my stay was that the door to the room did not have a deadbolt or any way to lock it from the inside aside from the lock on the door knob. As another reviewer said, it is worth it to just pay a bit more elsewhere.
Nina Kulawik: I really recommend this small hotel, for people enjoying a cozy room with simple amenities. I (35, f) was there for five nights during a business trip. I felt very safe and slept very well. Everything in the room as well as in the tea room and kitchen was very clean. The bed was comfortable with a harder matress, which I definitely prefer instead of the often very soft ones in the US. I like the cozy "grandma-feel-at-home" style with the older furniture and carpets with flowers. Although it might seemed a little aged, everything was kept in good condition. I enjoyed beeing able to have tea, coffee and water at all times in the coffee room. There is also a microwave and toaster in the community kitchen. The house itself is old and in some parts narrow. You might hear someone walking on the old wooden floors. It was, however, always very quiet and everyone I met from the staff, from the front desk to the cleaning personal, was very nice and accomondating. The price is very fair for the hotel and location, just a few minutes by foot from Harvard Square, the metro and Harvard Business School.I had a very pleasant stay at The Friendly Inn and would definitly come back. Thank you!
Marco Maas: Around the Corner of Harvard Campus. Has seen better days - it's unrenovated. Small narrow stairs, old carpet on the floors. No breakfast but a room with Coffee and Tea. Cleaning Service every two days. Very noisy fridge. At my time of stay the rate was 199 USD/night - which is too much for what you get. Very nice Chinese Family Business.
Krizia Delgado: Stay away. This hotel is highly overrated and overpriced. There are several big issues. The rooms stink of a mixture of dirt and toxic chemicals, and they are quite dirty. The walls are paper thin, I could even hear my neighboor's snoring and conversations at night and it was hard to sleep. They do housekeeping every other day and in my case, they forgot. So out of four days I only had my room cleaned once. It would be good to display this in advance, as having daily housekeeping is essential. Staff is not so friendly either, I had a heavy lugagge and had to carry it by myself all the way to the third floor. All I wanted was a hand, and the guy just rushed out to avoid helping me. Also no breakfast. All in all I really regret staying here, I would have paid more if I had known the reality.
Daren Blomquist: Cozy and cute gem within easy walking distance from Harvard and Harvard Square. Best way to reserve is to call. The website doesn't work very well. I like that because it feels like a little bit of a secret.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Dana Klevansky: ליומיים האחרונים בבוסטון קימברידג' היה פה פינוק אמיתי
mike mcdermid: This quaint little hotel definitely exceeded my expectations. It was perfect for wandering around Harvard and Cambridge in general. As a bonus the room had a fridge, so I could buy some wine. I would definitely come back again.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet, Great value …More
Yunyan Li: Great ambiance with historic feel! The staff was so friendly - I found out the day before my freedom trail tour that mobile pass won't work and I need to print a physical copy, front office staff gladly let me sent email with the pass and printed for me in the office - saving me walking out in 99F heat to get it printed somewhere.I also loved the common area/family room and the kitchen/dining/entertainment area in the basement. I have enough room to lay out my two screens and practically all by myself with cool air beating the extreme heat outside. Definitely would recommend to anyone who wants a walking-distance location to Harvard square's fun and chic restaurants!
Francisco Mendes: Very good location, clean rooms, calm neighborhood.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
Liza Cucco: This hotel is very clean and orderly, and there is a quaintness about it, with lots of little narrow stairways etc. The staff is courteous. The location is great- we loved being able to be ‘at home’ in Cambridge in a more residential area, it definitely had a local feel. There is tea and coffee and chocolates in a common area, which was nice. However everything is very outdated…it didn’t look like a single piece of furniture had been upgraded or replaced in at least 30 years, and a lot was chipped or threadbare. It is basically the quality of a hostel, but with private rooms. The shower and shower curtain grossed me out a bit- it was perfectly clean but just stained from age, and claustrophobic. The mattress was super hard and springy and had a noisy plastic mattress protector. The bathroom fan made an awful noise and turned on whenever the light was on. The water in the toilet in our bathroom would not stop running, and the room smelled musty. I literally bought a glade plug in air freshener from CVS to mask the smell. Also there was no security latch, bolt, or chain on the inside of the room door, which did not make me feel comfortable- anyone with a key could enter at any time. If I had paid $60-70 a night or something I would have been like ‘everything was old but it was a great deal!’ However it was like $200 a night after taxes. Way too much money for how outdated the accommodations were. If I had known what it was like I would have spent a little more on a different hotel.
Matteo Antognoli: The inn is pleasant and not expensive compared to the area nearby downtown. Most importantly it is well connected by Bus 1 and the red train line. The Staff cares about cleaning your room. It is friendly and available to help you. Although some improvements could be made (especially to the noisy AC and the mattresses), the place is fine for a short period like a vacation or a conference. It has wifi and comfortable chairs in front of the main door.
Suzanne Baccouche: Can’t beat the location. Friendly staff. Clean.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5 …More
roei tell: Stayed for one night and had a wonderful experience. The location is amazing (very close to Harvard), the room was very well equipped and beautifully decorated with wooden furniture, and the hospitality was warm and effective. I especially liked the constantly available tea and coffee in the common room downstairs. The only downside is that the room was small, especially the bathroom and shower.
HK: Price is cheap compared to other hotels in Cambridge but there’s a reason for that. Bathroom was incredibly small, could barely move while sitting on the toilet - felt like the owner changed the layout of the place to accommodate more guests which led to such spaces.
Allie Jones: Beautiful little place, nice staff and clean. Great location!
Charles Grill: If you are looking for a nice clean room at a (relatively) low price, this is your place. No frills though. I do love the crazy staircases but you have to carry your luggage up them. We miss the continental breakfast. Hopefully it will return post-covid.

Hotel Veritas: what do users think?
joe vallino: Rooms are ok, but on the small side. There's only a tiny desk and a cube to sit on. Fortunately, I didn't need to work in the room. Some minor quips, the thermostat was broken, the shower had not much pressure and the flow was barely enough to get wet, and the toilet kept running. The main advantage of Hotel Truth is its excellent location to Harvard square.
Adam Proctor: After a chance find we quickly booked into this hotel given the great looking pictures of the rooms. We were not disappointed! The friendly staff greet you on arrival and offer any choice of drinks available 24/7…all sorts of coffee on offer and fruit teas. A lovely reception lobby awaits you if you wish to hang around downstairs (see pictures). The room itself was exactly as described..modern bathroom and comfy bed..sold. Whilst some reviews mention the lack of space we found it adequate - I can see that some might like to have more and it is a compact room, however there is enough space generally for what you need. A decent hotel and we’d definitely stay here again when in Boston!
Joe Yatsky: Great room, albeit small and with varying water pressure. Extremely helpful staff. And an elevator you suspect might hold you hostage at the ground floor, but that's flavorRooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Quiet …More
Julia House: Staff seems like high school kids working their first jobs. Their desk is in a tiny space beside the elevator, and they just sit there on their phones and talk about dying their hair. I noticed this because I spent a lot of time in the lobby, as my room was so small I got claustrophobic. Contrary to the information on their website and on the flyer they gave me when I checked in, there is no bar in the lobby. My room was in what appears to be a converted porch, with windows in place of actual walls, so it was drafty and noisy and the windows creaked all night. My toiled wouldn't flush and the sink wouldn't drain. There's no clock, no coffee pot, no mini fridge, and no bureau/drawers/desk/countertop space. The carpet had stains on it. There's nowhere to put your suitcase. All this and I was nearly overcharged by $300 but luckily my bank caught it and flagged it as an unusually large transaction. I won't stay here again, even though I love supporting hotels that aren't chains. This one just isn't worth the price.
Lia Castrillon: Loved the location. The hotel is old si keep that in mind but, they gave us a pretty good room and we were satisfied with. The garage is a challenge for not so good drivers lolRooms: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Great value …More
Kamie Ngam-Connor: We made a group booking for our wedding party and guests. Justin was very accommodating to our requests and responded promptly. This is a beautiful boutique hotel so the rooms are all different (but on a small side). While one or two rooms are a little tired, overall everyone who stayed loved the ambience and found the staff to be polite, very helpful and discreet. There was no room service except for bottled water and a very nice coffee maker. That said the front desk staff was helpful and let us store our wine in the hotel’s kitchen refrigerator and they also provided endless supplies of glassware. And boy, our family/friends made full use of them!!As we had a large bridal party (14 ladies and girls to get makeup/hair then dress) - Justin managed to assign 2 largest rooms on the same floor for us. With help, our 3 stylists were in the largest room while we kept the other room for relaxing/snacking.The location is excellent just 3 mins from Harvard Sq - we actually walked to the reception venue (Harvard Art Museum) in our wedding clothes !!There is parking and again, the staff were very accommodating to day visitors (aka our stylists).Highly recommend staying here either as a couple or as a party (bridal or otherwise).
Danny van der Rijn: I've stayed at Veritas a lot over the years. Usually it's very nice - great staff, location, service. Don't book petite queen and stay away from ground floor rooms on mass Ave/over the t.Update: looking forward to post-covid return of services but still nice
Arthur Glauberman: This will be the first of two reviews! When we were looking for a hotel to stay in December, I first checked out some hotels in the Cambridge area on line and was impressed by the reviews I read about Hotel Veritas and while I could have booked on one of the hotel sites, I decided to call the front desk and spoke to Pallas, who was the concierge. I told her the price of the room that was posted on line and was curious if she’d suggest that I pay for that or if she could “ beat that price”! To my amazement, Pallas offered me an incredible deal and I happily booked our rooms for over the winter holidays! I then called friends who live in Cambridge and then assured me that the Hotel Veritas is a very classy hotel that is well worth the price we are paying! My next review will be posted after we stay there in December!
Matt Polson: Would NEVER stay here again. We arrive, and there is a festival outside our window, so no hope of any relaxation. The room is so small, there is nowhere to unpack our clothes bc there is no furniture in which to put it. I get offered a different room, but told it is SMALLER. I don’t see how this is possible. Our first night the frat house next door was partying so loud, there was no hope of sleep. Call Cambridge police, and they don’t do anything. This place claims to be a 4 star hotel, but it’s truly unclear why.
zenon Wasyliw: Conveniently located, attentive and professional staff. Great coffee machine in lobby
john kraus: Great customer service
Michele L: Not bad for a short stay. Very small rooms. No fridge or coffeemaker in the rooms. Only street parking unless you want to pay for valet service.
Jennifer Kmetz: Felt run down and old. Bedside table had a crack in the glass, carpeting stained and many things not working. I really wanted to like this hotel because of its great location but just have no desire to ever stay there again.Rooms: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Location: 5/5 …More
CJ A: Guaranteed rate and room if I extended my stay; told there were tons of empty rooms. Went out and new manager said my room was reserved and moved me to a smaller room. Toilet ran and dripped all night; manager told me he couldn’t address it, to just close the door. Housekeeping woke me up very early Sunday! morning; manager told me rooms are cleaned once vacant—even though check out is at noon. Ice machine broken.Great location but I wouldn’t stay here ever again. The managers need a lesson in hospitality. Incredibly rude and irreverent.

The only drawback was a surprisingly tiny elevator (maximum capacity 2 people with luggage). Not sure what that space constraint is about especially after their recent remodeling.

Lori R: Nice hotel, had a room with a kitchen was so awesome
Tracy Estaphan: BEWARE!! Construction is going on right outside this hotel. We stayed in Room 309 and felt like the construction was occurring in the room. It started early, like 6:00 am. We stayed for two nights and had terrible sleep both nights. Front desk didn’t seem to care at all. “Thanks for your feedback,” was the response we got. Great customer service, huh? The rooms are not cheap and it’s disappointing why they would let paying customers stay in any rooms close to construction. Again, definitely check to see where your room is to make sure it’s not near the construction!Walkability: Super close to Fenway Park, which is the reason we chose this location but won’t stay here, again, due to poor customer service/not caring about their guests.
Drake: Expensive place but right next to Warren towers so if you have friends or kids at BU, we'll its a walk else it's expensive compqred to other places. Suits are good. Staff is good n cooperative. I walked in for my wife's bday and the front desk really helped. Thanks team.

Steven Lawrence: Major construction directly next door 7am-5pm daily. No mention prior to booking, though they did have a big red note on the welcome letter once my reservation was too close and non-refundable.Was able to find parking on Spothero app nearby for half the cost of valet at the hotel.
Emrullah Çelik: There were no drinking water and slippers im the rooms. Other than these it is a decent hotel.
Melissa Summers: We stayed here in February, so perhaps missed the positive things about this location. It seemed lonely and out of the way in the winter. Rooms were clean, pool was MEH, breakfast staff was insanely rude and slammed the door in our face at 10:01 a.m. Most incredibly, parking at this place is $65/night with few local alternatives. STEER CLEAR!
David Meyer: Location can't be beat. Noisy with construction all around. Glad pool was re-opened.Rooms: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Location: 5/5Hotel highlights Luxury, Great view, Great value …More

Naomi Bradford: I had my wedding guests stay here and they all loved it. Makayla at the front desk is the best! The whole staff went out of their way to make us feel special and have a great time. The rooms were clean and nice. The location is awesome - easily walkable, right near Fenway, an easy hop onto the green, orange or purple lines.
Isabella Edits: Sobrevalorado!
Kelly Lane: Partnered with both Kevin and Michael on reserving room blocks for my wedding later this year. Not only were they very quick and detailed in their response, they even took the time to show me the property, walk through the common areas and let me view a suite! I cannot say enough great things about this team. I know our guests are going to be well taken care of.

T: Two rooms for our group and heating / AC broken in both... Beds only mediocre, rooms do appear to be well sound proofed though in terms of the neighbors. Traffic noise with the windows as well as pedestrians are plenty noticable still.Staff wasn't exactly the most helpful when checking in and had to rearrange our booking for some reason.Walking distance to the science museum though is it's saving grace. The cost absolutely was not worth it though... I'd recommend staying 20-30 minutes away at a nicer hotel for half the price and then just paying parking.Rooms: Average room. Uncomfortable beds. Nice bathroom. Ok pillows.Nearby activities: Boston Science Museum is fantastic.Walkability: Close enough to the Boston Science Museum and not too far from the mall...Food & drinks: Included breakfast was pretty decent.
Shannon Wentworth: We only stayed 1 night and I am glad it wasn’t more. The staff was very friendly, but the hotel is in DESPERATE need of repair and renovations. The window in our room would not close completely. Maintenance came to look. They slammed the window to close it more but the cold air still made it into the room.

tiffany mukundi: This hotel has the BEST location for the price. It’s a 5 min walk to the train station where you can go anywhere in Boston so we didn’t need a car. On top of that, the room was spacious and CLEAN! Housekeeping did a great job with our room, we really appreciated it. The breakfast was probably the best I’ve had for continental breakfast in the past few years. Lots of variety and snacks to go! The front desk people both nights were so helpful and kind. They held our bags because our flight was late. When I came back for my bags, I noticed I left my AirPods in the room. Within 5 minutes, they brought them to me. I was so thankful and blessed. Imagine if I forgot them and I live in Georgia 😭. If I had to return to Boston, I’d stay here again.
Julian Samaroo: Clean, well stocked rooms. Slightly noisy mini fridge, but not a big deal. Location was a bit far from the action near MIT, but there was a nice little park and a strip with restaurants and such just down the road. Would stay here again!Rooms: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Location: 4/5 …More

If I were her boss, I would certainly be giving her a raise. The beds are comfortable. The hotel and rooms are very clean and appealing. The hotel is located in a safe location that is only a couple minutes walk to the Boston subway system. There is a grocery store right around the corner from the hotel that is within walking distance.

Zhe Li: Charges fees without any warning, bad location, bad elevator1. I booked the room with my free night provided by my credit card, and throughout the booking process there is no mention of "fees" with specific numbers anywhere. In the confirmation email it also says "Total estimated price: Free". At check-in I was also NOT notified of any fees. Guess what? The day after my stay I got a $55.5 charge. I checked again and there is ABSOLUTELY NOTHING that is mentioned anywhere. They could have charged me $10,000 and say it's "fees". I talked to IHG and they told me about $47 is for fees -- no explanation of what they are for -- and cannot explain where the rest $8 comes from.2. The hotel is located next to a highway in an area that is under development, and the surrouding does not make me feel comfortable walking at night.3. One elevator was out of service, while the other was slow, small and had sudden starts/stops. I was on the 8th floor and once it took me several minutes to go to the lobby because of the stops.I am going to ask my credit card company to give my money back, and I will NOT renew my IHG card next year.

melissa Alves: This is the worst hotel I've ever booked. First when booking we asked for adjoining rooms we get there no adjoining rooms. We were booked months in advance so they should of been no issue accommodating us . They want us to pay 35$ for parking which I did but was not told that I might have to park 4 blocks down the road behind a Dunkin with no lights or cameras. I felt so unsafe tht I had to drive home and check out at 12. I didn't even spend the night. The women at the front desk could careless about what I was saying to her at one point told us that this conversation was over and turned around. If I was told that I would have to park down the road, I would've took an Uber to the show I was going to. I think when a guest checking in you should make them aware that they might have to park four blocks on the road after paying $35. When calling for at least a partial refund they lady told me this is a business basically screw me. I guess customers don't matter just their money. I would never book here again.
Jay S: This hotel is unbelievable… they charge for parking even if there is no parking available because the parking lot is so small in comparison to the hotel rooms they have. So their suggestion is parking in some dark alleyway down the road knowing that people are visiting from out of town… so what are you charging us for parking for?
