Bosso Ramen Tavern: what do users think?
Khoi Nguyen: Good ramen.
Beau Cote: First time we’ve been here and we’ll probably be back. Ramen was good and apps were good. Ramen felt like it needed a little more considering the price (it’s a tad expensive for how basic it is but the taste is top notch). We kinda wish is was either just ramen or just small plates. Atmosphere was busy. We got a nice corner table away from people but it was definitely very loud and it took away from the quality of the food a little. Overall we’ll be back but hopefully it won’t be as chaotic.
Tim D: My fiancée and I decided to give Bosso a try the other night and both of us had a very underwhelming experience. The broth here tasted like it was made from Boston tap water. We were hoping for authentic Japanese cuisine, it was disappointing to say the least. The quality does not match the pricing. I ordered sushi which was served as a nontraditional hand roll, and the texture of the rice was very squishy. The whole experience was just not worth the wait, I would not consider returning; there is better quality Japanese food experiences in Boston.
Haruka Yamashita: I’m Japanese, and I think Bosso has the best Ramen in Boston!! I love visiting here. My favorites are umami ramen, torotaku (sushi) and gyoza. Staffs are all very lovely and the services are excellent too
Jon-Claude Blouin: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Anna Belle Harada: I recently dined at Bosso Ramen Tavern, and our experience quickly soured when we were served the wrong dish. We initially didn't make a big deal out of the mistake because the restaurant was very noisy. However, our server accused our table of lying about our order, despite our fluency in Japanese, and insisted that we had ordered the incorrect dish. Given the outrageous prices (+$50/person), coupled with the average quality of the food, we cannot recommend Bosso Ramen Tavern.
Riccardo Tripodi: Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5More
Sarah Ander Shultz: Really tasty ramen spot!
Danielle Waldman: The only thing better than the noodles is the IMPECCABLE service from Yasu!!! I can't get enough of this place!
Tre Shockley: Tasty, but ramen portion sizes too small :(
Morgan Pratt: The portions were very small, had ingredients that clashed, and the atmosphere was very awkward. The vegan ramen had what tasted like chorizo and pickles and was very peppery. I could barely see anything and the cultural interpretation was a stretch.Dietary restrictions: They had vegan options but they were strange and expensive.
Gorgio Sac: The Best Ramen Ever 3
Adriana Azar: Original food. We enjoyed our dinner. However, even with a reservation, we still had to wait 30minFood: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carolyn Lu: Really interesting ramen. Really enjoyed the sanmi tomato flavored ramen.
C. G. Walker: Exceptional Ramen restaurant in a city full of a lot of competition. Cozy, fun intimate interior. Quality of the food is just exceptional. Be sure to try the smoked salmon potesala, it's to die for!Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sara Modiano: Excellent noodles, unique tastes, warm atmosphere.
david we: Very nicely decorated restaurant. Stopped in for a late night dinner. We started with the beef and Uni hand roll and shrimp tempura roll. Then tried the Karami Ramen and a glass of umeshu plum wine. The ramen noodles are cooked perfectly and the broth very tasty.
yy (yy): The ramen is authentic with some fusion elements in it. The broth is flavourful without heavily salted and seasoned. The owner is from the Boso Peninsula in Japan from what I heard from the staff.Highly recommend Sanmi Ramen if you like creamy tomato tonkotsu broth.Karami Ramen tastes like a Dan Dan Noodle inspired tonkotsu ramen, but it still taste good. The staff are super friendly and enthusiastic about ramen. Cozy atmosphere.A little bit pricey but the food quality justifies the price.
Tunc Oz: This place ruled the first month after they opened but the quality of the food has gone down substantially over time. Still it’s an a good vibe and the people are quite friendly.
Pol: Definitely not authentic Japanese food. It's just expensive fusion food with very small portion size.Food: Lunch menu is very limited--only Raman and "sushi" (not real sushi, more like onigiri) Raman is mediocre --salty, small portion, few ingredients and noddle is nothing close to amazing. The "sushi" is just big rice ball with tiny bit of topping.Other: it's much trouble just to pay the bill-- you have to register online with phone number +email + put in your credit card info...
anika balaconis: Lovely sake. Great hand sushi. Ramen noodles weren't the thick dense kind; they were the white thin kind.

Yume Ga Arukara: what do users think?
Danny Tran: Udon is super delicious! Expect long queue on the weekends but the wait is worth itRecommended dishes Hot Udon Noodle Soup, Onsen Egg, Signature Niku Udon …More
Tanya Giang: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Cold Niku UdonMore
Khoi Nguyen: The best udon I’ve had in my life. So much fresh flavor. The restaurant is extremely small and it gets way too busy. Recommend against the onset egg.Recommended dishes Onsen Egg, Spicy Niku Udon …More
Sara Stiklickas: This place has delicious udon. I had the signature cold udon which was tasty and refreshing, and texture of the noodles was great—just the right amount of chewiness. The restaurant itself is very small and limits your table to around 20 minutes, so plan for a quick meal. And, if you finish the entire bowl, you’ll be congratulated!Recommended dishes Cold Niku Udon, Cold Spicy Udon …More
Daniel Youberg: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cold Niku UdonMore
Paul Kei Matsuda: The house-made udon had nice firmness and consistency. The soup was also nice. The only problem with the food was that it wasn’t drained properly, and I tasted the water the noodles were sitting in before they were plated. Almost perfect. They had a policy of requiring the customers to place and pay for the order before lining up, but they allowed the couple before me to violate the rule even though I was there before them and followed the rule. So annoying. There wasn’t much of ambience, but that’s not what I wasn’t looking for.
Muling He: Best udon I’ve ever had
Li Pan: Nothing compares
Chungman Kim: Best udon ever
Qingyun Lu: Ordered takeout and food quality was still good when I got home. Udon texture was great. Would dine in for hot udon next time.Update: Back for the hot niku udon. Another great taste and experience. They did celebrate when you finish the dish. I would also recommend coming in a bit early than normal dinner time. There were a few seats at 5:40pm but as I left at 6:05pm there was a super long wait line.Update: Dine it for cold spicy udon with onsen egg. Great taste again.
Thomas Carroll: Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Cold Spicy Udon, Cold Niku Udon, Spicy Niku Udon, Niku Udon, Spicy Cold Udon with Extra BeefMore

t c: First time to restaurant. This will be my benchmark for having udon. Last time I had udon was probably 25 years ago growing up in Hawaii. The hot udon I had was delicious.Recommended dishes Hot Udon Noodle Soup …More
Aidan Hawkins: The spicy cold udon is the best udon in greater Boston. Staff is friendly and gets people moving quickly despite the small space they have.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Spicy Cold Niku Udon …More
Blaze Rz: Good udon unconventional soup base.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Proddy Sukcharoen: The best place for udon in Boston! Silky udon noodle texture, flavorful cold broth, and just the right selection of toppings. Would definitely be back again sometime soon
gammeelovemusic: Go early to get a seat and experience the special vibe (you’ll know / hear when you’re there!). The udon is very chewy and flavorful, even for a take out!
Hiro Numa: Taste is very good. The problem is if you seated in 1st row, you will get the stain on your clothes from the people eating behind. You guys should push acrylic board or something to prevent this!!!!
Destiny: Our first time here and we were pleasantly surprised with the experience. The broth was rich and flavorful. The staff will praise you afterward for eating your food well. You get either the “good job” or “perfect” depending on how much you have left in your bowl. If you dine in, expect to wait in a queue(the experience made it worth the wait).

Adriana Rivero Cisneros: Food: 5/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Spicy Miso Ramen, Kara Miso Ramen 辛味增拉面, Shoyu RamenMore
Alex Gamero Garrido: The food is great, maybe the best ramen in Greater Boston. However, the server would only engage with my White friend (I’m Latino). Don’t expect great service if you’re brown or black.
Jane K.: Food: 4/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 3/5More
Christian Chapman: reliable/go to harvard square ramen place
Ron Whiting: Very good food. Efficient.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Evan Bourgault: Always great food. Took a friend from Japan here, and said it tasted just like back home.
Dan Peluso: Extremely friendly staff, and they have some great ramen deals / apps. My main gripe is, compared to other Boston ramen shops Santouka is a bit disappointing. The noodles specifically are very soggy, and the meat you get is less than other ramen shops. Solid broth though - be sure to add sriracha to the chasu pork rice dish to really take a trip to flavor town.

Zachary L. Zavidé (Zack): Very tasty and authentic.
K Banks: Positive: Ramen was amazing, so flavorful and delicious. Also the pork belly bun was amazing! Really light and fluffyCons: menu doesn’t explain anything and the service was short so it was hard to get answers on what everything means. The coffee jelly dessert was sadly really watery and disappointing
Stephen: Can't beat Santouka ramen. The Harvard location is much more spacious than the Boston one too.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Raleigh Tomlinson: Vegetarian ramen was a bit underwelming. It had one small peice of tofu and a few mushrooms, but I really prefer more vegetables or at least an equal amount to what would be served in a meat dish. It was good, but very heavyweight on carbs and salt with no veggies to compliment. Still giving 3 stars because the broth and noodles were very tasty.I personally did not enjoy the ambiance. As a single person, you sit elbow to elbow at a big table with others. Luckily i had headphones to drown out the sound of slurping noodles while i waited for my food.
EV: I used to love this ramen place but the quality and service has gone down. The broth was really greasy, the egg was not softboiled, and the arugula I got for my ramen came on the side and it was dirty (white residue) so I couldn't use much of it but still paid for itFood: 2/5|Service: 3/5|Atmosphere: 4/5 …More
Tamar Cunha: Delish ramen and really good tea. Wish the menu still had descriptions for the different ramen options- pictures all look the same. If it’s just one or two of you, be prepared to sit at a large table with others.
Emerson de Lemmus: Hokkaido Ramen Santouka near Harvard's gate,Broth so rich, noodles first-rate.A bowl to cherish, worth the wait.Recommended dishes Gyoza Combo with Shio Ramen, Spicy Miso Ramen …More

Brittany Ray: Perfection. Hands down the best bowl of ramen I’ve ever had. I love supporting a business who give back to the community and values it’s customers.
MIKEY B: Ramen is good however owner Jake is generally unpleasant to interact with though. @Jake I saw your message and would love to connect. If you reach out via email we can chat more.
Irfan Quraishi: Came out with complimentary water in the hot sun, 11/10
G Unit: My dream is to finish my bowl ;)
Christine Lee: Delicious food, 10/10 staff! I always recommend this place to friends who visit the Boston/Cambridge area
John McCarthy: Dudes, just go, man.Recommended dishes Pork Ramen Extra Garlic, Spicy Pork Ramen …More
Christine Chao: Come for the ramen, return for the experience.Wait: there is generally a line starting around 3:30 and the ordering system opens at 4:45. It is worth it to get there early as I had a great experience being part of the first group of people to be served (different from other times when I have showed up later)Food: there is usually only two options: ramen with 2 pieces of pork or ramen with 5 pierces of pork. The noodles have a great chew and the pork is always cooked to tender perfection. And of course, you must always say yes to “delicious garlic.
Dylan Souter: Amazing. Their noodles are a work of art
Jessica Costas: I eat here at least twice a month! Best ramen and the best people!
Justice: Visited Boston over the summer during the pandemic and had Yume’s ramen to go. This is one of the best ramens I’ve had and have been a follower since. Can’t wait to go back and share my dreams. Hope to try one of the specials one day.Recommended dishes Pork Ramen Extra Garlic Dietary restrictions accommodated None of the above …More
Rodrigo Carrascosa: This place si worth traveling to Boston just to experience once, from the great original Yume ramen Jake makes, to the experiences from different pop-ups. Also the good energy in the place. Been here over 100 times, and plan on coming back as much as I am able to. Very filling meal, so prepare yourself mentally:)
Sam Seiwert: I’ve never met someone so obsessed with perfection in their craft. It is admirable and yume goes above and beyond to deliver the best product that is possible-or they will not serve it. If you have a complaint, LET HIM KNOW! He would be disappointed if you came in and your experience wasn’t as perfect as it can be. This is how we grow! If you haven’t been, try it!
Christina Cola: I always have such an amazing experience when I come here! The ramen is amazing and everyone who is here from the staff to the customers make the experience so fun and truly an experience you don’t have anywhere else. The bowls are so filling and so flavorful!!! Must go!
nick gabrielli: 👌🏻
Kevin Zhou: As a neurotic rock brained boy who struggles with choices, I love that there's only really one thing on the menu. This place is a timeless Boston classic where dreams are forged and bellies are filled.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Truong Nguyen: This gave me hypertension and kidney damage. The wait was terribly long if you arrive when the shop opens. I waited 40 minutes and I was within the first 15 people that arrived. Obviously when one waits that long, the food should be worth the wait. Needless to say, it was NOT WORTH THE WAIT. The ramen noodles were too hard and not the type of ramen you expect. They're almost amateur made; hard, lumpy, and uneven. However the ramen wasn't the worse part. The soup was almost pure soy sauce with lumps of fat. It was so so so salty. Imagine drinking flavored seawater!!! I will give kudos to the meat portions. It was tender and unctuous! Finally the shop is tiny and claustrophobic. I was shoulder to shoulder with another patron. They ask you if you would like to make a wish after which I thought was a little too much for someone with social anxiety.
Proddy Sukcharoen: Hands down to the best ramen place in Boston! Worth the 30 minute wait outside in the cold. Staff were very friendly and cheerful! Nothing beats the signature pork ramen with extra delicious garlic 😋. Generous portions. We lined up for one of the last seatings of the night and it turns out that the broth at the end of the night was very concentrated in flavor which make the whole dining experience even more wonderful! Would definitely be back again.
