Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence: what do users think?
paula shantzis: Eisenberg Assisted Living gives my 89 year old mom the community and care she needs to enjoy life. As mom developed issues that made living alone difficult, we tried having her with us. We jointly agreed that she needed people and stimulation more readily available to her. Eisenberg has provided that and much more. The environment is healthy and beautiful - good food, a wealth of activities, excellent apartments and lovely commons spaces - but the true beauty of Eisenberg is the caring culture that they provide. Their first concern is for the residents well being and everything follows from that. The nursing staff is very responsive and caring and while assisted living is not a skilled nursing facility, they strive to monitor the wellness of every resident. Mom and our family experiences that every day. I can’t say enough about each person on that staff. The activities staff is amazing and has stepped up during Covid in ways that are creative and stimulating to mom and so comforting to my family, who can’t see mom they way we are used to during Covid. We can’t ask for more prompt or more caring communication with us about mom. I think the key to a good family experience with a parent housed in this kind of living environment is to be able to have a good relationship with everyone from the kind people at the front desk to management. Everyone is accessible and willing to listen to mom’s or our needs. My mom is happy and content at Eisenberg and our family is grateful that this quality of living is available to her. Thank you all!
Joel Cutler: My brother has been living at the Eisenberg Assisted Living Residence for the past 6 1/2 months. I am happy to give EAL a 5 star rating. All of the people I have come in contact with are kind, compassionate and helpful. The Director, David Price, has proven to be an outstanding professional in eldercare. He consistently strives to achieve excellence in all aspects of each residence's life.On behalf of my brother, my husband and myself; thank you David!Janyce Cutler
Pauline Himlan: This is an outstanding facility. They take such good care of my mother. Very professional staff, expert in providing an excellent quality of life to the residents and this time in their lives. Beautiful, clean environment. I just cannot say enough, or thank them enough.
Wendy Shepro: Eisenberg is an exceptional place to call home! There is positive and committed leadership and staff who work tirelessly for the safety, health, and happiness of its residents. All you have to do is visit and you’ll feel the sense of warmth and community.
Sue: I highly recommend Eisenberg - the staff is outstanding and the facilities are excellent. My father quickly felt at home and enjoyed both his privacy as well as interacting with other residents at meals or any of the organized events he was interested in. A special shout out to the nurses - you could not find a better and more caring team. And, we enjoyed the special events for families, too.
Mary E L Shepherd: My aunt was slated to move into Eisenberg in March just as the doors closed because of COVID. It was a blessing to spend many long days with her to reminisce and truly prepare for the transition to Eisenburg. Dave Price was honest and forthcoming with the COVID cases, what changes were made to comply with state and local regulations, and how they were managing the activities of daily living for the residents. So when the doors open for new move ins, we were ready. Shannon and Connie came out to reassess my aunt, and I went in to choose a room. Moving in was planned down to the details and went smoothly. There have been a couple bumps along the way, but there always is. Everyone takes responsibility and coordinates to correct the problems. All in all my aunt has adjusted, she is happy and loves her new room, because it is filled with her personal belongings. There is a warmth to the community, I chose Eisenburg for my aunt because the people are fantastic, it is faith/spiritual based (she was raised Catholic), it is nonprofit, the building/grounds are well maintained, but what sealed the deal was they cook from scratch because they are Kosher, Kosher may not matter to my aunt or I, but cooking from scratch is, cooking with love.
Evan Stewart: Our family name parallels this facilities heritage. My dad lived nearby for almost 30 years and it became time for him to be in a safer living environment. The Eisenberg facility and its staff and caregivers provide the highest quality Care possible with a High attention to detail, a commitment to safety and personal well-being of each of the residents under their care. The nursing staff is extraordinary, thorough and broad-minded about the numerous facets of Elder Care. The the overall cleanliness and thorough Sanitation kept the covid-19 virus at bay, keeping the residents safe during this most risky time.We commend the entertainment committee for keeping the place jumping, keeping the residents entertained no matter what the weather! And we'd like to pay homage to Christie at the front desk (and all the other folks that are the guards at the front door lol) of the Eisenberg facility. Thanks again for taking such great care of my dad. Living out of state, I am able to be at peace and not worry about him ...as much...lol...since he moved into the Eisenberg facility. I am forever grateful.Evan Stewart EisenbergOdessa New York
Harvey Florman: Eisenberg has nice facilities. However we found them inflexible. They have rules, some of which seem arbitrary and apparently unimportant. If those rules do not impact you then this is a reasonable place. If they do impact you then this is the wrong place.

Tatnuck Park at Worcester: what do users think?
Christy Hogan: Our family member moved in six months ago and we are very happy with everything at Tatnuck Park. The staff is wonderful. Family member is happy and enjoying the meals, exercise classes, and medication management.
Ellen Falone: If you are looking for an assisted living for your loved one, I can honestly say there is only one choice, Tatnuck Park in Worcester brought my father back to life, he is not existing, he is thriving, has made friendships with staff and residents. They live a full and happy life at Tatnuck Park.
Lisa O’Neil: My parents moved to Tatnuck Park when it became too difficult for my Dad to care for my Mom with advancing dementia. It was important to my parents to continue to live together despite their challenges. They lived in a two bedroom apartment with a small kitchenette in traditional assisted living at Tatnuck. As my Mom's health declined , she took 2 visits weekly to memory care for day programming. She then required hospice intervention with her physical care and being hoisted all of in and out of bed with a lift. All the while she remained with my Dad in traditional assisted living. The most wonderful staff and caregivers at Tatnuck Park made this all possible. I forgot to mention this all took place at the height of the pandemic which was a challenge for them. The staff made sure my parents were well taken care of, well fed and attended social events when possible. These are a group of the most caring people we have met!!
Crystal Lucchesi: My mom has lived at Tatnuck Park since 2019, first in traditional living and now in the memory care unit, and I could not be happier with the experience there. Staff are caring, compassionate, and patient. Such a friendly and homey environment. There is always something going on in the activity room so there is plenty of chances for socializing. So happy with our experience there and would highly recommend to anyone.
Patricia Richards: I am very content with Tatnuck Park, it has become my home. My health care needs are very well taken care of and that makes me feel safe. Our housekeeping and maintenance director always take care of all our needs. What we especially enjoy is our social hour with friends and wine.
Trish Tupaj: The Harbor staff at Tatnuck Park are awesome! They care for each and every resident as if the resident is their own family member.
Jim Kee: My wife entered Harbor, the memory care unit at Tatnuck Park at Worcester, in late May. We had begun to research memory care units in the greater Worcester area a few months earlier, imagining that she might need such care by autumn. She suffered an acute decline in mid-May, however, and after a period of hospitalization and a stay at a skilled nursing facility, she was welcomed into Harbor.I had heard many positive comments about Harbor from members of a support group who had relatives residing there. In all respects the care offered to my wife at Harbor has met or exceeded the high expectations I had formed. The Director and the nursing staff are knowledgeable, experienced, compassionate professionals. The other members of the support staff are well trained and, to a person, deeply caring . All have worked hard to get to know my wife, discern her particular needs, and learn how best to address them. From day one my wife has only spoken positively about the care she receives. Everyone at Harbor similarly treats me with kindness, knowing as they do the anxieties a husband feels about his wife's well-being in circumstances like these. The channels of communication between the staff and myself are open and reassuring.I should add that the Executive Team was similarly excellent in every respect when I first began to inquire about the appropriateness of Harbor for my wife. They, too, were remarkably compassionate. They clearly communicated all I needed to know about the costs and services. They were generously responsive when we had sudden need of Harbor for my wife much earlier than we had anticipated. They stressed from the beginning that Harbor offers an unusually high level of memory care. I can testify that their pride in Harbor is well founded.
Flo Scarpaci: I've been a resident at Tatnuck Park for 7 years and am so happy here. I'm grateful for the friends I have met here and the people that work here are wonderful. The building feels like home, and I am always well taken care of. Any body that comes and visits, I tell them they should move here because they would be so happy too. I love Tatnuck!
fitznutz: I was a respite resident st Tatnuck Park Worcester. I was blown away by the level of care I received. The Residents were so nice and The staff was amazing. I never once missed being away from home.
Jeremy Shue: Great place to work! The residents and my co workers all feel like family.
Kristin Ramsey: I have worked at Tatnuck Park for almost 4 years and I love it. The residents are wonderful, employees are wonderful and the management team is wonderful. I love Tatnuck with all my heart and would recommend it to anyone, even my own family!
Chinaa Bankz24: Excellent place to work !!!!!!!!!
shabre44 Breslin: Nice, clean the staff are very courteous and friendly . I have a friend that lives here. I visit him often, he complains about the food since they changed chefs last year. For the most part he seems to enjoy his stay considering he is a young man compared to the majority of the people that live there are much older than he.
Cindy Hall: Most of the people are helpful and friendly. The kitchen staff are great! Sometimes one has to ask other staff twice to get a task completed. I'm sorry the above woman had such a. negative experience. I am visiting my sister here. I am from Chicago and have accompanied her to bingo, meals (which are excellent!),exercise classes, crafts, trivia, a wonderful St. Patrick's Day party (which was awesome!). I have metthe executive director, activity folks, Physical Therapists, and Nurses. All staff have gone out of their way to welcome me and make me feel at home. The surroundings are beautiful and calming. I feel so relieved that my sister Heidi lives here. It feel like a safe and relaxing environment. Iwas a Social Worker and have not ran into many "snobs" as the above message claimed. Cindy Hall
Maureen Prichard: I went for a visit to see my uncle and aunt here at Tatnuck park and I can not begin to tell you how upsetting it is. The receptionist was polite but not very friendly, which for someone who is suppose to be greeting people she should look like she actually enjoys her job. The upper management are all snobs, they act as if they own the place, Every greeting ( If I recieved one) was forced and very fake like. One person stood out the most of them all,I believeher name was Deb. HORRIBLE! No mannors, rude, she is not a people person at all! When I came during the evening all of the aides were standing around the kitchen area talking to one another in a different language, loudly at that. My uncle stated that it was always like that after 3 o'clock. When I asked Deb for some assistance since her aids were busy with thier conversation she simply brushed me off and told me that if I have a complain I can file it with someone in the morning. I am letting it be known that not only will I be reporting on here, But you can be your dollar that I will be reporting to all the proper people. Please DO NOT send your parents to this place, they are simply about the money not about the quality of care. TRUST me when I tell you that you will pay for everything and get nothing out of it! I will be working to get my family out of there ASAP and that is a promise! The only reason I am even giving two stars is because the kitchen staff are wonderful! You all are the light of Tatnuck park.

Notre Dame Long Term Care Center: what do users think?
Colleen R: My mom was there several years ago and the care was awesome. However recently mom was in Notra Dame Rehab after being discharged from the hospital and had a lot if problems going to doctor appointments. They constantly cancelled them due to transportation. Her shoulder got injured while she was there also. Without going into detail I will be sure she will not be sent there again.I do want to add that the PT and OT women are awesome and are not part of the problem.
Karen Hogan: I had the pleasure of visiting Notre Dame recently and was so impressed. A beautiful, peaceful campus and friendly, happy staff and residents. The recent renovation to their Assisted Living spaces are fantastic. Can’t say enough good things about this community.
joseph zack: I go and visit my aunt, the place seems very nice
Peter Ishkanian: My family has used Notre Dame Hospice just recently for my Dad who just passed away, and for my Mom seven years ago. I have never met such kind and caring people ever in my life. They went above and beyond to help us. I highly recommend them.
Joseph Bagnell: Notre Dame has a very caring staff. There priority is the resident. I know nursing homes and Notre Dame is one of the best nursing homes in Worcester County. Their staff are great, friendly, reliable, professional and give the up most respect and dignity to your loved one. The staff engage with the residents and make each and every resident feel liked and loved. The nursing staff especially the C.N.A.'s are the backbone to why Notre Dame has the rating it does. The nurses and C.N.A.'s take such good care of each of their residents and love each one of them as their own relative. Thats what makes Notre Dame stand out from the rest. Its not just a job to the staff at Notre Dame it what they were meant to do.Their meal plan has a very good option of food for each meal. All sorts of different ice creams. Notre Dame also has a variety assortment of drinks to choose from unlike many nursing homes which only have the basic few options. There linen and towels and face cloths are soft not rough like many other nursing homes.Their equipment is up to date and not out of date and old and unreliable. If you're looking to place a loved one in a home, look into Notre Dame. Highly recommend! 5 stars.
Jody Hurd: Found this place to be a loving community for all residents regardless of their religious affiliation. My father-in-law couldn't say enough good things about the staff and Sisters. Dad was a deacon emetrius of a Baptist church in Maine. He especially enjoyed talking about faith stimulating. He also participated in their hospice program. I was so happy to have him t.here
Maria Ouellette: Beautiful grounds. Seem to provide excellent care to their residents.
Shabd Khalsa: My father is being treated here, and it is the best place on earth for a loved ones care, simply exceptional care by exceptional people!!
Carol Morello: My mother was there for a short time and I am sorry now I didn't choose somewhere else. The first interaction was the room swap. Because my mother stayed in her chair, they moved her from the first room they assigned to another. A stressful event. The next event, her oxygen. They took her to the dining area and she was feeling ill. Luckily, my husband was there and saw her oxygen tank was empty. Second stressful event. After this, her PA told me to call her anytime for any reason which I thought was nice. One day, I wanted them to check her for a UTI since being a medical professional I know the signs. They said she didn't have one but in the end she did at which point they told me I didn't follow protocol (?). Next, her roommate got a severe upper respiratory infection and ended up in a hospital. I contacted her PA and was scolded by the staff again for not following protocol. Subsequent to this event, the staff failed to inform me or my family about the severity of her roommate' illness and failed to "follow protocol" by gowning up or instituting precautions, exposing us and visitors. Needless to say, my mother got the infection and subsequently passed away. Please review other places before settling here.
David Shapiro: My aunt lives there. She loves it.
afia opoku: Best learning Center in Worcester
lizzie Lamb: Took care of my grandma wonderful very involved staff

The Hermitage HealthCare: what do users think?
Rod One: This place is absolutely DISGUSTING! I Highly advise you NOT to allow any social worker from any hospital to convince you into referring that place. The nurses are completely unprofessional, and do not care whatsoever about what happens to your loved ones. I personally had to clean manure from my Mothers restroom. I also had to clean urine from the floor. It is ran by people who have deep language barriers. I’ve been to better holes in the wall than that place. They steal and they take their frustrations out on your loved ones. I reported them to the Board of Health. Let me not forget that it looks like an insane asylum than a short term rehabilitation facility. I also believe it does not deserve a one star rating.
Rebecca Cole: this place does NOT deserve even 1 star!! please do not listen to any hospital that is telling you that your love one will be in good hands at this place, TOTAL LIE!! place is disgusting, nurses dont care about the patients!! loud buzzers constantly going off, takes them over 5 min to even come to a patient room if a patient is need!!
Nghia Ngo: The hermitage take care of the elderly , the kitchen staff is very diligent , and cater to the residents food perfectly .
Mimi Vazquez: My loved just arrived this afternoon has to share bathroom with four people. There's is blood on the toilet and was told that was nothing and no one has cleaned it. Has been in pain for over three hours and no medication. They have no blankets. Unbelievable that UMass would send patients to such an awful place. Will file formal complaints. These are sick patients not animals.
krista lynn: If I could I would give this place 0 stars !! Wouldn’t recommend to anyone !! Nurses are rude and don’t seem to know the reason the patient is there ?! I had to tell them why !! My loved one had little care here . Ridiculous and very unprofessional .
Jennifer Gunderman: My father received stellar care at Hermitage House. The staff were caring, compassionate, and hard working. The OT and PT were patient and encouraging. The nurses and nursing aids were kind despite my dad's less than sunny disposition. The social worker was timely and honest in her communication. The housekeepers worked diligently to make the facility clean, safe, and welcoming. The one challenge is the age of the building but staff cannot change that.
Emily Orne: If I could give this place negative stars I would!!! This place needs to be PERMANENTLY SHUT DOWN!!! They are very rude. Called to ask about my grandmother and they hug up the phone and refused to send her to the hospital when needed! Called the police on this place and they called the ambulance for her. Do not send ur loved ones here!!
Susan Vogel: A place of misery and suffering.
hayanna oliver: This place is terrible !
Aida Clemmey: I gave it one star just because the 3 residents at the nursing home that told my family that told us that the staff at Heritage would stick my father in a wheelchair and sit in at a table from when he gets up in the am until 9:30pm when they it him to bed... The male staff that took care of my father would all way complain when I or my family would take him to go bathroom... He would even walk away when he would see me bringing him down to his room to go to the bathroom... And wouldn't even let him take naps during the day... They even had information that he had kidney failure 4 day until we saw the report. And went to the hospital.... So it's all up to you if you want to send your love one to a place like this you must not love them... The staff is lazy...
