Best Pizza Restaurant Worcester Near Me

GREGORIA MARTINEZ HERRERA: I give the great staff & great pizza five stars!!! They work so hard & they cook lovely food. We got to meet the owner while visiting to pay. However he's unwelcoming & rude. Greeted myself with my husband at the counter. He's fixing a prepaid phone (in the kitchen) with the sim card for gps tracking his delivery drivers. All while phone's ringing & the owner refused to answer phones when other customers had to be put on hold. We pay, wait in our vehicle, notice I'm missing an order & I messed my pie order up while ordering on the phone. I go back, by myself, in to explain my order. Their cashier was helping me order a new pie & trying to get my misplaced sweet peppers we ordered from a previous order. (My mistake on not communicating correctly in my first order.) The owner tells the cashier to "answer the phones & ignore her". When the same cashier was in the middle of fixing the missing peppers from my first order & ringing up the second order. All I wish for is the workers getting higher salaries & better respect. The owner & his Tesla can be rude outside of his own restaurant. If he's inside leave & don't get disrespected.

BARRIOS GUSTAVO: Pizza Works has been a little on the pricy side for a long time but I've tolerated it because of the sweet red peppers they have, which is the best part of their pizza. However, it's starting to get to be a little too pricy. Including an hour drive each way back towards where I grew up just to get to the restaurant, granted I only stop by when I have other reasons to go back to that area, two large pizzas and an order of bread sticks was nearly $60. I love the pizza, but it's getting too expensive to order from them even if I lived around there still.

Caua Pereira Ribeiro: My wife and I ordered a medium combination pizza that was $10.49 and an order of cheesy bread sticks. The cheesy bread sticks came out quickly with 2 containers of cheese dip and one marinara, they were quite good, fresh. The mozzarella on the bread sticks was tasty. There was more than the 2 of us could eat. The combination pizza was great with all the flavors you'd want on a pizza: Olives, mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, lots of cheese. The crust was just right, not to thin, not too thick. A big plus is that the drinks are free, self serve. We got out of there for less than $20 plus tip. This place is old, but it has a lot of great character, go check it out.

The apps were the bruschetta and the roasted cauliflower. Highly recommend the cauliflower. Wow, so good. The pizzas were the Margherita (my favorite), Pepperoni (excellent), and the marinara (we added cheese). This awesome restaurant is small, so call ahead. It's worth waiting for.

Amanda Cooper: This is our go to spot to order on the weekend (lazy weekdays sometimes too) we always have great food with our favorite driver. Haven’t seen the driver lately it’s been someone new every time, ever since the food and customer service has been below average. Ordered buffalo tenders, got plain spotty tenders and ordered broccoli bites and got 6 which usually it’s more (order them quite a bit) an order is $6.95 which means it’s over $1 per broccoli bite, they are soggy and under cooked. Called to let them know our order was messed up, they had a driver drop off buffalo sauce. That was their solution. Sadly We will be switching up our weekly take out spot, ever since the change of employees I would NOT recommend.

Paul K: I used to be a regular at papa gino's on the same street until I discovered this place. The pizza is amazing. I now frequent this place friday evenings for pick up, and the best part is you can enjoy an adult beverage while you wait for the pizza. The only thing I wonder is, with pizza this good, how is this place not packed on Friday or Saturday evenings? However, they need to hire more staff. They usually have only one person working the register and waiting the tables and the phones, etc. Keeps her running all over the place like a chicken with the head cut off. Phenomenal pizza though.

R: This review is long overdue. My husband and I discovered Paesano's a few years back on our never-ending quest to find a place that can make a stand-out pizza. Paesano's is it! Their pizza is so much tastier than the chains. You can taste the quality and freshness in their ingredients. If you like pepperoni, onions and green peppers try ordering a pizza topped with those ingredients. We always ask for extra topping (for all 3). You will love it! Whoever made our pizza on Feb. 24, 2022 around 6 p.m. our hats off to you. It was extra amazing! So glad we found this little gem. Thank you, Paesano's and your wonderful staff, for making this pizza-crazy gal very happy. Keep up the good work!

Unfortunately I can't say the same for the service.The last time we ordered, it took 2 hours for delivery on a Wednesday night for one pizza and some garlic knots. After about an hour and a half, we called to see what was going on. The person on the phone was incredibly rude and asked why we hadn't called sooner "if it was a problem," told us they're "known for" taking a long time with orders, and that it didn't matter because the delivery driver had just left. We asked to speak to the manager, were told that the manager/owner wasn't working that night, and when we asked which night the owner was working they hung up on us.Delivery was through a third party, and when our pizza finally showed up we asked the driver what happened. He said he'd been waiting in the store for at least a half hour, and that this is not an uncommon issue at this place.

I have lived in Worcester for 5 years but grew up in Brooklyn and Queens, NY so pizza is basically a food group. I have tried nearly everything within 5 miles and have been disappointed. This is a slice of NYC in the middle of MA. Crust thickness is perfect, sauce is savory, cheese and generously spread and they make a proper large (24'). I have to fold my slice to start eating it!!! Street parking, no room to dine in and 90% of the space is the kitchen and prep areas. It's perfect, period.

Unfortunately, Pizza Express has been long gone.
