They often leave the shop, mid day, and put up a sign saying they'll be back in 20 minutes but they do not return for 90 minutes or longer. If this happened once, no big deal. But it happens all the time. They close on random days. I completely understand that things come up but when it 4-6 times a month, maybe running a business isn't for them

Krysten Breault: So, I called yesterday at 5:54pm, twice, and left a voicemail with my name, inquiry, and phone number. The hours listed say the store is open till 7pm. I also messaged the stores Instagram at 5:59pm to ask why no one answered.... And I STILL have yet to receive a call back. Is this a trend? I also had gone to the physical location on October 14th, 2022 to see what snakes were available because it was my birthday and my boyfriend wanted to get me a snake. I called because the shop was closed (I called at 3:39pm). I'm all for supporting local business but the way the shop handles potential new customers is unprofessional. No signs on the door indicating that they were at a reptile convention.... And I STILL WASN'T CONTACTED WHEN I FIRST CALLED IN OCTOBER. It is exhausting trying to contact this shop but I'm sure you'll respond to my review. I won't be calling or coming here ever.

Ben Librandi: Brought my chameleon to see if they knew what was wrong with him. The vet/owner was great! Very knowledgeable, helpful, and thoughtful. My chameleon was looking and feeling better within minutes of being there and is continuing to improve! I’ve been coming here for a year now and I wouldn’t go anywhere else! Thank you!

Louca Hill: Overall the staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. They have a fantastic selection of animals, and for the most part their animals are in alright conditions. The owner, however, was very rude and gave us incorrect information about the spider ball python we were looking at. Doing our own research beforehand as well as verifying that research after showed that spiders usually have neurological disorders. The owner denied this and claimed it was all "bad breeding", that caused the disorder. He also claimed that the spider we ended up taking home as a rescue was "perfectly fine". When we brought him home, he had clear signs of issues, including flipping upside down and not anchoring correctly. In short, the owner confidently gave us completely false information and essentially called us gullible for believing all the hours of research we did. We will not be going there again, but it's a shame, because everyone else who works there is kind and wonderful, and clearly care about the animals.

Derek LaRose: Love Dinky Reptiles. The coolest reptiles and other pets. They always have new animals. Pretty much every time I go there I see something awesome I have never seen before. Private owned pet shops have been unfortunately not as common because of companies like petco and pet smart. I have seen the prices of corporate pet shops going up and up. Dinkys is still reasonable. Very informative if you have any questions. Great place.

Dina Giffone: Super friendly staff I bought feeder crickets there and keeping them in a house for them they lasted a week petco feeder crickets die within days. Also great rewards program. You can tell they really care for the reptiles and fedders they have. Definitely recommend going here and prefer them to any of the pet store chains in the area.

Richy Rich: I have been going to this reptile shop a lot and, honestly, there are rarely (if ever) any downsides whenever I go.Brian is an amazing owner who clearly cares for his animals. Every time I go he or an associate of his are always refreshing their reptile tanks and clearly giving their reptiles great care. Every reptile I've handled from their shop, including the California kingsnake I recently purchased from them, are insanely tame to the point where it wouldn't surprise me if the associates individually worked with every single animal that they own to make sure they are as handleable as possible. I saw a little boy handling a chameleon at the shop and that chameleon didn't flare up or act aggressively in any way. In my personal experience, my kingsnake is extremely tame and has zero health issues as far as I can tell and is very interactive with me. I've pretty much harassed every snake they have taken in within the last year, including a gorgeous carpet python (well-known for aggressive tendencies), and none ever once tried to strike or showed defensive posture. I highly enjoy stopping in every once in awhile to check out new reptiles since they are constanty taking in and selling new reptiles that most Massacusetts residents would never even see in person otherwise. I've seen all kinds of skink, swift, iguana, snake and lizard species there that you will never find at any other retail pet store in Mass.As for feeder insects, every feeder I purchase from them are extremely healthy and long-lived. I've never had a single dubia roach die after purchased from them. My mealworms and superworms likewise last long. If anything, my one "problem" with their feeders is that their crickets are TOO healthy to the point they jump way higher and move way faster than those at big-brand petatores that I have purchased. Whereas a cricket I buy from Petco will only live three days in my cricket keeper serup, one from dinky's will go at least two weeks under the same exact conditions. And for prettymuch the same price too, no less.

I was 3-feet away from the young rude girl when I said hello twice and she either didn't hear me or was ignoring me (and I was the only customer in the fish department at that time, and she was probably on the phone but not sure) so the third time I said hello loud enough to be heard. After she helped me, she started telling me that's not the way to get someone's attention and said I was yelling at her, so that was my last time going there.

Melo Multi Services: I use to go to the store every Sunday with 4 dogs and bathe my dogs. Today the supposed manager victoria told me that I couldn't use 2 sides. She wanted me to bathe 4 dogs in one tub. Of course it would be impossible. I paid for 4 baths. Every time I go to the store if there's someone in front of me I always wait without complaining. I made the complaint with the manager, Vitória, and she and all the employees were laughing at my face.

I highly recommend PETCO.My experience at Pet Supplies and why I'll never go there again:We originally purchased a 5 gal Glo fish tank and glo fish from Pet Supplies. Over a year later, our fish are thriving, so we thought we'd treat them to a larger tank and maybe get another fish friend. My husband, 6 year old daughter, and I went to Pet Supplies... my daughter was very excited about getting a new fish.The female employee working in the fish dept came over with no smile or greeting, just attitude right from the start. She said you cant add a fish to a new tank (which is exactly what we did the first time but..ok) so I said that's fine, while we are setting up the larger tank, we'll add the new glo fish to our existing 5 gal tank. She said, and I quote, "No. A 5 gal tank is too small. I WON'T sell it to you." My 6 year old daughter was devastated. I had a new 10 gal tank, rocks, accessories, dog toys, everything in my carriage, ready to go.... and she decided that her store clearly didn't need my business- so we left and went to PETCO and I'm so thankful we did because the experience at PETCO compared to Pet Supplies was night and day.First off, if a 5 gal tank is too small (as she stated) why does Glo fish make a 5 gal tank for glo fish? And why is ok for Pet Supplies to have 100 glo fish in a 10 gal tank, but I can't have 5 fish in a 5 gal tank?(do the math) and really, what's up with the attitude? Your job in the fish dept is to sell fish... DO YOUR JOB. The girls attitude was awful!We left, went to PETCO in Auburn and got our tank, supplies, rocks, glo fish, even a few cute starter fish for the larger tank. The girl working at PETCO was informative, nice, and a pleasure to do business with. I'm so glad we went to PETCO instead.P.S. somehow Pet Supplies deleted my original review. I'll keep posting my experience. And my fish, once again, are thriving. Their loss. PETCO's gain 3

Each time i bought worms from here, i noticed i was going through the worms more quickly than i should have been, and i wasn’t feeding my bearded dragon any more than usual. the last time i bought worms, i decided to count them when i got home. I bought two containers, and each container was supposed to have 25 worms in it. one container had 11, and the other only had 8. how is that acceptable? There is no need for such dishonesty in this world
