Austin Rose: 0 stars. Been a loyal customer for years now and within the past 3 months I’ve needed to get a new debit card twice as both times there was fraudulent activity on my account. In both instances the unknown party was able to put my account in the negative. Dcu was lazy to say the least in returning/refunding what was taken. In addition to that it took 3 weeks to get a new debit card. 3 weeks where I was unable to access MY money. Appalling, disgusting, go anywhere else for a bank.

Thank you DCU for providing my first 5 star banking experience. We accomplished exactly what we came to do. Also, this branch was very clean.

nicholas leboeuf: I received an antique auto loan with DCU in early January. I purchased a 1992 Nissan Skyline GTST with the check for the loan from the sellerwhom had a loan with DCU for the car. The day that I gave him the $12,000 check for the car was the day he paid the vehicle off. The problem is that the lien is still yet to be released from his title, so he has not received the title in the mail yet to sign over to me. He received a letter in the mail stating that the lien had been released and that he should had been expecting the title in the mail. I keep receiving letters stating that the vehicle must be titled with DCU listed as the lien holder and that I must provide insurance proof for the vehicle. I obviously am not able to retitle/register the vehicle since a title was never received to be signed over. Along with that my insurance agent will not insure the car unless I have the title for the car. The seller and I have both been to branches numerous times to try and sort things out and the situation never comes to an end. I received the "Final Notice" in the mail today stating that my loan will now have $1,602 added to my loan balance and that my payments will increase by approximately $137.50. I will also attach a screenshot of proof straight from the Massachusetts DMV's website showing that the lien has yet to be released from the seller’s title. Due to the negligence of DCU releasing the lien from seller’s title, I am now the one facing unnecessary repercussions that should never be happening. The vehicle is still fully insured and being paid for monthly by the seller so it has not had a lapse in coverage although I understand that the insurance is supposed to be in my name which I am unable to do without a title.

Andrew Pontbriand: Only reason I am not giving 1 star is one of my close family members banks here. Applied for a personal loan over the phone with a 741 credit score. Instantly approved in less than 20 minutes. I wait 30 hours for an email - nothing. Finally call customer service they took it down wrong. No big deal, it happens. But this was the start of the disaster. I explicitly asked the loan officer/agent if there is any chance something could fall through as the loan is for the remainder of the balance on my wedding. She said she’s never seen anything happen when a loan is approved this way. Fine. So, as a business owner, I made a few financial moves now that I knew I would not need to use personal funds to fund the wedding.After finally getting the welcome email, I go to open the actual bank account. Checking and savings- I apply with everything tbeh requested from start to finish perfectly with nonissue, until the end.Application was submitted and to my absolute shock - I get a response stating that unfortunately my application to open a BANK ACCOUNT was denied due to “being unable to provide positive identify verification”. Whatever the heck that means!?So I travel almost an hour to the bank after customer service said it could be a glitch. The guy at the bank couldn’t have been more disinterested in providing even a low level of customer service. He seemed bored and annoyed that I’d even dare be upset at the circumstances. He tried to do the account manually and we had the same result. After requesting to speak to someone and being stonewalled, and my spirit broken, I left.My credit is almost excellent. My income is great. My ID is new and accurate. I have a perfect history with ChexSystems. I am a human being with flesh and blood that they could easily physically identify in person but that was not good enough.Never in my life have I ever experienced anything like this. Because of this I was denied my loan and now I have a mortgage inquiry on my credit report and nobody at this institution cares. In fact, they passed the buck and blamed it on a third party - if I do that in my business I lose money and lose customers.I am at a loss. Luckily, their biggest competitor was happy to assist me and offered me an even better rate, so I am officially done with DCU.Hope this helps others that may try to get a loan without an account. You don’t want to go through this and don’t want the mortgage inquiry after approval for the loan, arbitrary denial of an account, and thus, subsequent denial of the loan! And you don’t want a bank that isn’t inclusive to all within the community.Thanks

They always seem to be understaffedDont get me started on customer service I recently had a problem with my wallet being stolen from my car. I tried to call the branch directly and speak with someone. No human to talk to and just a recording about this or that. Well that person who stole my wallet was using it to buy all kinds of stuff.i truly believe it all could have been avoided if someone just answered their phones...now my account is all messed up.
Taxachusettsucks: Low rates. But god help you if you need any help from an actual person. I've actually taken out my future car loans with another credit union at 1% higher rate, just to avoid the un needed frustration dealing with any human at dcu. You can't just simply call them and talk to someone without leaving a call back #. wich could be up to 6hrs. Later or more. And don't think your going to be talking to anybody with any knowledge of what their doing. It took my dealer 3 days to get a hold of them to make a pay off on my trade in. Their a huge dealer and said they've never seen anything like this with any bank.
Archit Kumar: Recently opened an account here because I found their auto loans to have a really low interest rate. However, my experience with customer service has been bad.I visited the branch, having made an appointment beforehand. I was asked to wait in the lobby. Waited for about 15-20 mins and saw people who arrived after me being tended to before me. I checked with the counter and was told that my name was called and that I may not have heard. It wasn't even a crowded place and was pretty quiet. If it was called out loud enough I would have heard.Long story short, no one apologized to me for the inconvenience. I feel this is not professional. At the very least they should have a display or something to let you know when it's your chance or a text message or something. Was not a pleasant experience overall.

The first guy I spoke with at this branch told me everything is good don't worry. I had a bill due, he told me don't worry give them your account #, it's fine. I'm in line at the bank after calling in the payment, and my daughter who is ten says, "Mom, how can you put money in your account if it's all blocked. Understand, when you call your bank after something like this happens, you are expecting customer service. Someone who can remain calm and help you figure things out. Someone who is looking to resolve your issue. I don't work for the bank. If I were drowning, I wouldn't expect the lifeguard to knock me out to get me to safety. Well today, I had to call the bank yet again, this time I got someone who not only gave me great customer service, but had a wonderful, professional attitude. Great listening skills, and remained focused on resolving my issue. Aneudy is his name, and he is truly a humane individual. I am half deaf in one ear, so I am not good on the phone. This did not stop Aneudy from helping me. Not only did he find a way to help me , but more importantly, he was supportive at a time when I needed it. Thank you Aneudy. 😁Eddi ( Golstar Blvd branch).

junny delgado: AVOID NICOLE JIMENEZ helping you. I was trying to go in to finalize my auto loan with a half hour left to close and you can tell she was not happy at all to help me out. She seemed miserable just calling out my name, I stepped into the room and closed the door and got a death glare , I was all excited ready to finally get my new car. She's starts speaking to my husband like "this is your loan right" and I said "no it's mine"She rolled her eyes and continued to speak to my husband instead, he went on his phone and told her "speak to her , this is her loan." She finally started speaking to me asking for my member number and as she's finalizing the paperwork she makes a comment "it smells like someone hasn't showered" while rolling her eyes. Me and my husband looked at eachother like "wow". Anyway I'm just ready to finalize this loan to just get away from this miserable women. After 2 min of silence and her typing she finally speaks and says a sarcastic "sorry" (with a smirk.) "Your loan can't be approved cause we do not work with that dealer"I called the dealer and he was confused cause he always works with DCU. She kicked us out and told us bye anyway and then I CALLED DCU and I had to receive the help from someone OVER THE PHONE instead (YES They work with the dealer I guess the women just really didn't want to help me). Not sure what her problem was towards me and my husband from the moment we stepped in but I hated every second of it. Never have I felt so small and disrespected.
A C: I went into this bank on 3/2/2023 on shrewsbury st in worcester Ma to speak with someone about a huge investment (mind you I’ve banked with them for over 10 yrs) As I was waiting in the lobby I over heard an elderly gentleman in the private room with a teller (who seemed to not be having the greatest day or was fed up) and the teller was speaking about his bank info and how much he had in his account with the door wide open for all to hear. I thought that was quite odd. But as soon as I was called, I proceeded to the room I was called too and tried to shut the door and was told not too. I politely said ill come back at another time when I'm allowed my privacy to my money and my concerns. Hoping for just a bad day in the office. because I do not feel confident leaving my money somewhere that doesn't offer privacy for your concerns.

David Webb: They’re amazing.After realizing that most credit unions overdraft fees are the same as banks at $30 or $35 and DCU is $5, I gave them a chance. That was about three years ago, I’ve now moved all my accounts here.They’ve been fantastic, and every teller seems to be efficient and has clearly been given the tools to do their jobs quickly. Things like getting a bank check which used to be $8 and sometimes up to 15 minutes at Rockland Trust are now 45 second transactions. I’m consistently impressed with DCU and wish I had switched to them five years earlier.

Elisha Marie: I’m so disturbed at the lack of professionalism by “management “ at this bank.I brought necessary documents after being instructed over the phone what I needed to open an account for my minor son who is disabled.When I arrived I was told to bring another document that I was not informed I needed.I live out of Worcester and this is during rush hour mind you.So I drove back home and got the document the associate told me I needed.Once again I was told I need a document from the courthouse stating this is my child!I was frustrated when the associate who was running back and forth from me to the “manager” and asking for me what papers I needed at the courthouse he yelled at her from his offices “HOW DO I KNOW WE DONT DEAL WITH THAT!”so everyone in the lobby could hear him.Everyone looked at me.So after a few choice words I left and called the courthouse to ask for a particular document and even the lady at family services had no idea what this bank “manager” was talking about.This guy was so rude and arrogant that I will be removing my account and my husbands account ASAP.I will file a complaint first.I went to another bank and got my disabled son an account within the HOUR!And was treated with respect.What a horrible excuse for a manger!Dont go here if you want to go with this bank!

shannen Ryan: I honestly DON'T see why WCU received such bad reviews! Over the past year and a half I have refinanced my house, opened an equity line and purchased a new car with WCU effortlessly. Yes, they had to close their lobby due to Covid19, however, they helped me through scheduled appointments, telephone calls and DocuSign. I love that I can manage my checking account, mortgage, equity line and pay all my bills through the online banking and their mobile app if I'm on the go! Lastly, now that the lobby is opened, I specifically went in to see the renovations that were done and it looks lovely. It's modern, bright, clean & inviting.

After they deposited my $$, I was told by the same person that their card machine was down. They’d call me tomorrow so I could pick the debit card up. It’s been over 2 weeks - I’ve made three calls in (left vms) and sent emails. No card. No returned calls. One email saying the card isn’t ready! VERY FRUSTRATING. Only way to access my cash is waiting in a long drive thru lane. . . I highly recommend you do not use this credit union. There is no customer service.

Dan Smith: Well, now I get why their rating is so low - I really should have checked before I walked in. Very long story short....I exceeded all of their criteria for a personal loan to get my roof and siding done. I also already had a line of credit from TD for 42K. All I was looking for was an increase from 42 to 58 and a slightly better interest rate. I brought two years of taxes and two current pay stubs. I was told I'd need, in essence, approximately 14 additional past tax forms....more than I needed to buy my house.....for 16k??They said there was no way around it. So I politely said no thank you, asked them to withdraw my application and went to another bank.Guess what? They didn't withdraw the application. And I was approved for 78K with NO FURTHER paperwork 2 weeks AFTER I told them to withdraw. These people are incredibly disorganized, which is a precursor to being unprofessional. Please bank somewhere else. I am so embarrassed to have wasted my time there.

Montel Jones: I was racially profiled at this location. The bank’s supervisor Kerry who would not tell me her last name but I found out it’s long. Kerry long refused to deposit my check, not cash just deposit my check because it was to high she said. So because of the amount and the fact that it read, my name and the father of, with my sons name after she said she will not take it because her treasurer “might” send it back. I told her to do her job and deposit the check and let the treasurer send it back if they feel as though they need to. So she voided my check and told me to have my lawyer issue me another one with ONLY my name on it

Kam V: Typically this branch is convenient + fast, but a few years later this has changed. Teller lines have become longer. Went to a Branch Manager after being hacked to have charges withdrawn, and after visiting another location they advised me that he was to print me another card. This did not happen. (mind you this is over the weekend and If I was to have an emergency I would not have had access to any of my funds). Not sure, never had probs here, maybe he was new?

Marissa: ATM outside always seems to have a line. Our debit card got hacked one day and I believe this ATM is where our info was stolen from. Beware of anything odd looking near the card reader! (Can be at any ATM or debut card reader) A huge plus Santander has a great system, the person that committed fraud with our card tried using it 6 times and only one transaction went through and we got quickly reimbursed. Great bank and great customer service!

D T: Tellers are nice.If you need notary or account setup services there may be a short wait depending on how many people are seated and seeking these services.
Chuck Schuman: I visit the bank twice a week, every week. Very friendly service. Ramon, the manager, always comes out to the lobby to greet people and see if they need help. Very friendly group of tellers

Nevermind the fact there are at least 4 other people waiting for a rep to help them. If you need to actually do business that a teller cant handle dont hold your breath here. ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. So thankful to have closed my accounts with this disgraceful bank! If I could have picked ZERO stars or better yet negative I would have. WORST BANK AND CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER.

Mark Reyna: This bank is so antiquated. Cannot do anything online including ACH's even changing your address. They make you go to the branch for everything. Telephone support closes at 5 PM. Bank is from the ice ages. If you want modern day conveniences RUN don't walk from here!

But, they occasionally have cupcakes you can enjoy while they repeatedly decline to rescind multiple thirty five dollar fees.I was a customer here for two years - every few months, they have different tellers, and different managers, and they do not stand by their slogan with their customers.
