Daniel-Eric Wirtz: Unfortunatly our evening at Saltie Girl Boston was horrible.We had a reservation and were send downstairs. We stood there and no one cared for us. We had to ask a waiter were we should sit. He went to the hostess which then arrived and only then were we seated.Then we ordered oysters as Appetizer. We wanted two of each. Instead we got less then ordered and pointed that to the waiter out. He then brought us a plate with the missing ones. The problem here was that they weren‘t placed clockwise like in the other oyster restaurants in Boston ( like the little whale or Selected Oysters )so we didn‘t know which oyster we were eating.As we went through this course, they already brought the Entrée which is just not acceptable. The waiter didn‘t seem to understand why we wouldn‘t want our hot meals mixed with our order from the raw bar. He acted like we were screaming at him which we weren‘t. Then, which seemed to be the restaurant manager, came to our table apologized and took the warm dishes away for later but explained, that this were normal here, like Tapas. We are from Europe. No original Tapas restaurant in Spain would mix hot tapas with cold ones. These are always seperated courses.As we had finished our Oysters we got the Entrée which wasn‘t that good. The beef of the burger had no seasoning and no taste at all and the Pasta was over seasoned.When we ordered the check, they had charged us twice the main courses which they then changed after complaining. It gave us the feeling that they wanted to fraud us.Overall our stay at Saltie Girl was an horrible experience which cost us a lot money which wasn‘t it worth.

N: Food was good and service inside restaurant too. But the front desk hostess was absolutely awful and needs a lesson in customer service… or a job that doesn’t involve speaking to people.The restaurant mistakenly changed my reservation time without my request and rather than work to accommodate and take accountability on the error the hostess was extremely rude and dismissive. She would speak over me and tell me “move aside” and that whatever time in her system is when the table will be ready, regardless of whatever email/text proof I had on my end.Bad attitude but the rest of the staff made up for it. Good job to the managers for rectifying.
Matthew Naneville: Came here at 9:30 PM with a party of 5 to get a late night bite. We were told that only the bar was open and they were serving a limited menu until 9:45 PM. When we went to the bar area, we noticed there was a booth large enough to accommodate us; however, when we went to sit down, we were told the table was reserved, which given the fact that it was 30 mins before close was hard to believe. We ended up leaving and not eating there, but spent close to 15-20 minutes outside of the restaurant trying to figure out where else to go, during which time no big parties went into the restaurant, which really made it seem like they were lying, being lazy, or probably both. Their late night menu was also limited to seafood cocktail type food, so don’t expect to find their famed lobster roll if you go there after 9 PM. We were very disappointed as this restaurant was on our list of places to eat at while visiting Boston, and this was by far the worst experience we had at any restaurant or place during our entire visit. Their lobster roll may be one of the best, but their laziness and shady behavior left a permanent sour taste in our mouths.

A Stenft: Hate to leave a negative review but this is far from friendly and from from accommodating. Not only did they push our reservation back 45 minutes, they were extremely aggressive towards allowing one additional guest at the table. They had asked the person to leave and were not willing to add a chair when the restaurant was filled with open seats. They clearly aren't out to make sure diners have the best experience possible.

Kylie Odparlik: This place was delicious! All the food we had was great. We had a sample of all of their oysters, burger, and lobster roll with salt and vinegar chips. I love being able to try different oysters and tasting the difference in flavor profiles. Also, the lobster roll was perfect served warm with butter on a toasted roll. The prices are a bit high but worth it.

Ida Li: Heard about this restaurant from a friend! Great place for having conversations over a light meal and some drinks.Food overall was delicious. Portion size are small particularly because it's a Spanish tapa style meant to be shared amongst the table.Atmosphere was beautiful. I highly recommend getting a seat outdoors for the summer. It's much roomier and comfortable. You can definitely also go in the winter but it'll be really cold!It's a bit on the pricier side but it's a nice treat.

We ordered asado de huesos, jamón ibérico, queso de cabra, and maíz asado for two people and it was plenty. Service was great and atmosphere was cozy. Highly recommend.

The best way to tapas is to order a little bit of everything, and if you come across something you don’t love, that’s ok. Toro customized our menus with our son's name and boy was he surprised! Sit in their heated outdoor patio or inside the bustling hot spot and you'll be in good hands either way. Don’t let the crowd or wait for a table ruin the whole experience. The local beer selection is good, paired well with our tapas. We started with batatas bravas, calamari with shishito peppers and a well thought charcuterie board to start. Every pinxtos was delicious. Ostros Escabeche, island creek Oysters we're swimming in flavor and although we thought the Empanadas were a bit over fried, they were still tasty inside. We shared two rounds of Risotto de Longostos, it was devine and our boys favorite. The attention to detail to seasoning, plating and staff are on point at Toro.

Stella Lee: Very nice restaurant! Our second time we dined here- and they did not disappoint. Food & service were excellent! I appreciate how they split an appetizer/dish for you to share with another. My only complaint is that the tables are pretty close to each other and you can hear conversations from others.

Tim Zhang: Overall a great experience.Ordered French Onion Soup and Escargot as appetizers, wine braised short rib as entree.The soup was flavorful and the pastry was hot and puffy with a hint of crispness on the surface. It is one of the best I’ve had in the city.The Escargot was a little bit bland for my taste but nothing wrong with it otherwise.The braised short rib was absolutely wonderful. The meat was cooked to perfection with just correct texture and firmness to pair with rich and fruity Bordelaise. That being said though, I still question the very existence of those two random onion rings that do not contribute much to the dish. Not at all a deal breaker though.Would be happy to visit again for other dishes.

Cindy Pury: I am currently sitting inside the Hynes Convention Center in Boston. I was part of a large crowd of hundreds of people who needed to evacuate the building due to a false alarm. As we were evacuating, and before it was clear that it was a false alarm, employees at the Hynes Center location prevented us from going out the easiest exit to access from where we were, going through their side door and out onto the street, and instead made all of us walk over a city block and down another flight of stairs in order to get to an accessible exit. Exit. This seems very much like a reckless to disregard for human life, and should this have been an actual emergency, I expect that you would have been sued by survivors. Do better.

Connie Wocell: Came in from out of town for a birthday celebration, got dressed up and right from the teenagers seating us in the daycare room disappointed, we asked to be moved and the dining room was noisy , and no dress code at all . Food was good but atmosphere terrible and felt rushed . No Dress Code enforced at all.

Eduart Lela: My wife and I are regulars here and we have always enjoyed the food and ambiance at capital grille Boston . Most importantly the service by Zack has always been excellent. We are sad to see him go and wish him good luck. We have been back twice since however and service was ok until yesterday when we met Grace. She is terrific also and very professional. We recommend Grace if you are able to request her for your dining experience, we had a wonderful lunch with her yesterday and I am sure you will too.

Megs R: I made reservations at the Capital Grille for my husband's 50th birthday. He wanted a great steak dinner and this exceeded our expectation. He started with the oysters. His porcine rubbed ribeye was cooked perfectly and he paired it with the Spinach. I had the Seabass and the sauce made it melt in your mouth. The pear and gorgonzola salad was also delicious. Molly and Jeff were our servers and their service alone made our meal so special. They were friendly and attentive. They recognized my husband's birthday with a card and glitter on the table and a fun dessert plate. We splurged and had a piece of coconut cream pie too which was so good. From drinks to dessert everything was perfect. Bring your appetite!

Kelsey Alana Brooke Jones: The food and our server were great, but I would not recommend coming for a celebration. I went with my husband for my 30th birthday tonight and we had an 8:30 reservation. We were running 10 min late, and called to verify that was ok and they said it was no problem. When we arrived they said they needed to clean off a table, then 15 min later said the table just paid and it would be another 15 min - we were sat about half an hour after we arrived and I had to put my birthday balloons on the coat check for some reason. It didn’t feel like a celebration with the wait and policy against balloons which are the reasons I wouldn’t recommend for a celebration.

Legal LLC: Not very flavorful food. The vegan version of a pasta was just grainy tasting noodles in bland oil for $45. My table spent over $800 on dinner and most dishes were sub-par. The broccolini was mashed up like baby food. I've never had brocolini served like that. Seemed like standard, flavorless food in tiny portions arbitrarily overpriced. I will not be going back.The hostess, black hair in a braid on April 20th at 6:30pm harassed me as soon as I walked in the door. Very rude. Twitchy: Good place for late night food in downtown Boston. Arriving on a late flight into Boston, there's not a lot of full service restaurant options in the downtown area after 9 pm. At Bostonia Public House we had the hot lobster roll, pasta vongole and fish & chips. The food and service were very good. As an fyi, it does get pretty noisy once the live entertainment starts.

Tony Huynh: The food at Neptune Oyster is overhyped and expensive. We wait around 1 hr and a half to get inside. The space is small and crowded with barely any moving space. We got an oyster tray, clam chowder, butter lobster roll, razor clam and Johnny's Cake. The oysters were good but it wasn't that sweet, and it cost around $3-4 per oyster. The Clam chowder is the most watery chowder I ever had, there were clams but not many and you have to really fish for it. The lobster roll is decent with juicy lobster however there wasn't much flavor in the lobster roll. The razor clams were overcooked and chewy, and the flavor wasn't that good either. Finally the Johnny's Cake, we also added lobster to it, it wasn't bad but it's just standard, nothing special about the cake. The total cost was around $180. Overall I wouldn't go back again, the food wasn't worth it for the long wait time and the high prices.

Richard W: To tourists: out of all the sit-down meals I’ve had in Boston, this is the only one I chose to return to within the same trip. Just skip the clam chowder.The wait time can be long, up to an hour during peak times, but it’s worth it. While standing in line, you can watch someone shucking oysters in full view—live entertainment. These are the movements of someone with many many years of experience.Service is extremely warm and friendly. The wide selection of oysters did not feel overwhelming because the waitress narrowed it down for newly seated patrons.Even though I’m not a fan of raw oysters, I enjoyed these due to the especially bright mignonette. The johnnycake was warm, soft, comforting, sweet but not too sweet, topped with smoked fish that sounds like an odd pairing but works. I’ve never had anything like this before. It makes me want to come back and try other interesting things on the menu, perhaps in a future visit.Edit: on my second visit, I had the clam chowder and octopus. Octopus was extremely tender, well-charred along with the vegetables, and bursting with flavor from the romesco. The clam chowder was okay; I felt I had to order it because Boston, but there are so many better things on the menu.

The restaurant is small so it does feel a bit crammed, but it's very well managed and efficient nonetheless. Overall, 10/10 dining experience!

Richard W: Oysters and beer with great service. The tuna crudo scared me off from wanting to try other things on the menu, though. It felt like a failed resuscitation attempt on a dead fish, the flavors flat and bog-like. Insultingly bad for the price. Being delicate to begin with, the natural taste of the seafood was lost in amount of acid and umami added to the dishes. Great ambiance, though. I would go back.

We were seated and our waiter was really friendly. We ordered our drinks and place our order for a few appetizers and the lobster rolls. The crab dip is pretty good. Mussels were good. The oysters were ok, seem to be different than what I saw online. Not enough croutons, but very fresh and silky. They have two types of lobster rolls one is a warm butter the other is your traditional mayonnaise. They use both the claw and the tail meat which isn’t my favorite way to have lobster roll because the tail meat tends to be tough. There’s just no way to make it not tough unless you use all claw meat. The corn bread was excellent. Good finisher for the end of the meal. They have a big ball of sweet butter on top. This place is definitely worth trying. Very expensive though. $50 for a lobster roll. Crazy. Not the best I’ve had but still very good.
