CrossFit Southie: what do users think?
Amelia Dallocco: I have finally found the right place, with the right energy where getting fit and improving every day is not a secret reserved for a small group of advanced athletes. Here we all have the same opportunity. Big space, great coaches that explain the exercises (not only read the board), and care about you during the class, very well structured workouts, and no matter what the schedule is and your position during the class, you always find what you need next t you. I drive 30 min every day just to get in here and as soon as I open the door I always think that it was so worth it.
Huber Steve: I was in Boston for the weekend and I didn’t want to wait until Monday to do 23.2, so I dropped in for a 7am on a Friday. I signed up, payed and filled out my waiver on line which was all super easy. Once I arrived for the class, everyone was super friendly and welcoming. It’s easy to get to and I has plenty of parking. Highly recommend!
Isadora Aparecida De Oliveira: Good assortment of equipment.
Michael Petrizzo: I recently dropped into CF Southie while visiting Boston on business . . . 10/10, highly recommend . . . welcoming community, great coaching and awesome facility/equipment. I'm looking forward to dropping-in again the next time I'm in town.
Patrick Bradley: One of the best gyms I’ve been to! Every coach is super friendly and happy to assist in ensuring your form is correct for each exercise. If you want a workout that will push you while also encouraging you, look no further.
Chris Covington: I used to work with these folks, pre-Covid but no longer go into the city - The trainers are great at meeting you where your capability is and also stoking enough competitiveness for those who need it to drive growth but keep injuries from happening. They are high quality knowledgeable people. The facility is nice and daily workouts are great as well.
Arianna Celis: I dropped-in during my quick visit to Boston. The coaches were welcoming and readily introduced themselves when they saw me. I had a great workout!
Ben Fisher: Great, old-school Crossfit gym with excellent coaches. Definitely recommend.
Clare Duffy: I started CrossFit at CFS 6 years ago, had to move across country 2 years later and since have been to maaannnnyyy other CrossFit gyms around the country. CFS is by far the most professionally run gym I’ve been to in that time.I can’t speak highly enough of Goose and Amys knowledge and kindness. The facilities are top tier and the gym is always clean. The programming is well considered, and they are continually doing things to bring more value to their members.Personal health can be tricky, and what really sets them apart is knowing when to loop in field experts. Many CrossFit gyms offer nutrition advice by a person who isn’t qualified to do so (a regular CrossFit coach), but CFS has a registered dietitian (who is also a member ;) ), that works with members during nutrition challenges to ensure the changes people are making are healthy.A friend of mine just started at CFS and is having an amazing time, so I felt compelled to come back and give CFS props 6 years later for all of the amazing work they continue to do.
Nick Lucas: I joined CFS the day i moved to Boston after college and was a member for four years. This place amplified my entire experience living in Boston and it still to this day is one of the things i miss the most after moving away. I moved about a year ago and still look forward to visiting the Boston area and dropping in for a workout every time. The coaching staff, location, equipment, other members, and level of programming is second to none and I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a fulfilling gym and fitness experience.
Nick Morin: Great Gym with friendly owners and coaches. Very impressed with how well they run this gym. Highly recommend!
Shai Revivo: This is the second time i am visiting while on business trip.Awesome place with great energies!!!
Gearoid Maher: Dropped in for a class whilst traveling to Boston for work. Very cool gym setup and the coaches Jake and Danielle were very welcoming! Highly recommend checking this place out!
Benjamin Herrick: CrossFit Southie is an awesome gym that is worth checking out! I joined about a year ago with little CrossFit experience, and the gym’s coaches and its’ community completely changed my life. This is the best, most complete gym I have been to top down. The coaches are very knowledgeable, welcoming and helpful, the programming is great, and the community is as tight knit as I have ever seen at a gym. If you are moving to Boston, or currently living in Boston looking to try something new, CrossFit Southie is a great way to get fit and meet some awesome people!
Van Allen Agustin: Came all the way from Dubai and came across this Cross fit gym. 30 minutes walk from the hotel I stayed but well worth it! if you are into Crossfit and Calisthenics here you'll definitely feel in wonderland! Very friendly vibe and Nice people! You made my stay in Boston memorable! will be coming back whenever i'll be happening to have a layover in Boston! see you soon!
Austin Amery: Member for about one year and absolutely love it!Amazing coaches and environment at CFS. Workouts are programmed very well - challenging enough for an advanced athlete while also able to be scaled so a new comer can get the same workout stimulus. Great balance of Strength & CrossFit Skill work followed by a fun metcon.Always looking forward to the next workout!
April Rannikko: One of the best decisions I've ever made was joining CFS! I joined as a complete beginner last year and never looked back. There's options for anyone and everyone here. Between all of the amazing coaches, classes, and friends you make, I doubt there's another gym out there like this one.
Kevin M: In my opinion, CFS is the best box and best gym in Boston. I have been a member since a few weeks after Amy and Goose opened 11+ years ago. Amy and Goose and their team of coaches are awesome. I can't recommend CFS more.
Kimberly Flynn: I joined CrossFit Southie in 2015, left for a while and came back last year. The coaching is still the best- they don't let you slide on technique, being smart and doing things the right way so you don't get injured. They are engaged with you in every class...The community of people is wonderful. No one judges you, and they're all supportive of you, no matter where you are on your journey...Highly recommend CF Southie to anyone, whether you're a 25 year old beast or a 70 year old looking to get in shape and meet some awesome people. You won't be disappointed!
Matt Bruckerhoff: Incredible place. I’ve been to many CrossFit gyms, fitness programs and classes across the country and this one is the best. The programming, coaching and community are great. Programming challenging, yet well balanced - both each day and over time. Coaches give everyone the right attention - providing coaching that is actually useful.Recommended for anyone who is serious about fitness - whether you’re an experienced CrossFitter or not.
Joyce Sweeney: Amazing gym! I’ve been Crossfitting and coaching on and off, mostly off, since 2009. In that time I’ve been to several gyms across the US and I can say, without a doubt, CrossFit Southie is by far the best gym. The gym has nailed it in multiple areas. The coaches are trained extremely well and very well versed in all the movements. I’ve always had a good coach at a gym but it’s usually one or two not the entire staff, which is the case at CrossFit Southie. For all movements, the coach will , without fail, go through the breakdown of the movement, monitor your movements and correct (gently) as needed. In addition to knowing their craft every coach that has trained me is positive, encouraging and kind. I’ve never felt out of place or awkward for not knowing something or doing something incorrectly. The gym space is also massive so plenty of room to workout and stretch as needed. The workouts themselves are tough but manageable and scaleable to your level. Multiple levels of a workout are offered - all the way from fire breather to I’ve never done CrossFit, please help! Since being here (joined less than a year ago) I have personal bested nearly of my lifts. The lifts I haven’t are because I’ve been hesitant due to prior injury. Socials and competitions are also regularly planned, so if you’re looking for more than a gym that is an option also. I’ve been to several and had a blast. And, last but certainly not least, the members are wonderful. The atmosphere cultivated by the gym owners is welcoming and warm. I’ve been to cliquish gyms where you feel like an outsider. Not the case here. The members are fantastic. They will cheer you on in a grueling workout and encourage you to push yourself. If you’re looking for the best coaching, the best workouts, and a fantastic group atmosphere CrossFit Southie is for you! Come on in and give it a try!

CrossFit on the Hill: what do users think?
Sara Garrard: My favorite gym in Boston. Super welcoming, great programming and queer friendly!
Neil Johnson: Great community that takes fitness seriously. Get ready for gainz
Seth Brown: The only crossfit I've been to so I'm not comparing to other ones. The coaches here are fantastic. They'll work with you even in the group work outs. Pointers when you need them at a pace that works for you. I started going here to lose weight for my wedding and we've almost been married a year now. Check it out!
Benjamin Brownlee: I went to one of the classes at Crossfit on The Hill when I was in town for a wedding recently. I had a great experience, an awesome workout with knowledged trainers in a great enviroment. The workout was intense but the trainer did a phenomal job of scaling the workout to my skill level and I left feeling tired but accomplished. They are not just great trainers but great people, the owner and his wife even attended my friend's wedding that weekend. There really was a great sense of community there at Crossfit on The Hill and I would workout there again in a heartbeat. Thanks guys!
Jason Villanueva: These guys (& lady) are the best I've never met bettet trainers that push u the distance and help u achieve success

CrossFit Boston: what do users think?
Annalyn Bachmann: Couldn't recommend more! Such a friendly environment and supportive community.
Colton Lord: CrossFit Boston is top notch in all aspects; the facility, workout programming, coaching, and more! I’ve been affiliated with CrossFit for 12+ years and CrossFit Boston is definitely at the top of the list of favorite gyms.
Jonathan Gosselin: CFB is the GO-TO CrossFit location in the area with friendly coaches, great workout programming, and a lot of fun weekend events! I spent a year in Boston for school and I needed a place for my workouts. I walked in at 11am one day when looking for a gym and met Jorge. He welcomed me right off the bat and introduced me to the team. Since that moment, I have been attending the 6am classes each morning and I have not looked back. The coaches care about your well-being, they make it fun, and they spend extra time with you to help you achieve your goals. HIGHLY recommend you pop-in and call this place your home gym for as long as you are here!
Skyla DeSimone: I entered the Crossfit Boston gym looking for a gym I could call a second home for my next 4 years of college. Without hesitation I knew CF Boston was the place I’d love to spend every morning with such an incredible crew.
Alex Kane: Best CrossFit gym in the Boston area! Great facility with everything you could need and excellent coaching staff to guide and support you. Community is very friendly and inclusive. Classes are always fun and ran well with plenty of opportunity and space for open gym if you want to do extra work on your own. Overall amazing and fun place to get fit, meet new people, challenge yourself and reach you goals!
Ford Phillips: Great box with excellent equipment, coaches, and community. If you're local you need to check it out. If in from out of town, stop by for a drop-in as they have tons of options for you here. You'll be glad you did!
Ryan Holland: Great community, great coaching, great events! I could not say enough good things about CrossFit Boston. Just had a fun in-house competition with great programming and a live DJ. Fantastic energy here. I’ve made great friends with similar fitness goals. Grateful for this community!
Estefania Perez (STEF): I joined CrossFit for the first time this past year after a major surgery where I lost complete strength on the left side of my body. I came into Boston CrossFit to prove to myself that I could be strong again but I have gained much more than strength at CrossFit Boston. The coaches are so kind, and incredibly knowledgeable. The community here is incredible and supportive as well. I didn’t expect to make much progress when I first joined but I’m the strongest I’ve ever been and I’ve learned so much about form thanks to the proper guidance and support of all the coaches. I would highly recommend CrossFit Boston, it’s always a killer workout with killer company!
Vinay Devalla: I recently joined Crossfit Boston and I have to say, it's been an amazing experience so far! The coaches(Jacob,Alex,Jorge, Jeanine,Gianni,Victoria) are excellent! They are knowledgeable, approachable, and very supportive. They always push me to do my best and provide modifications to suit my individual needs. The community is great.Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, which creates a fun and supportive environment to workout in.The gym itself is great - it's spacious, well-equipped. Overall, I highly highly recommend this CrossFit gym.
Jen Lemoine: Awesome gym if you are looking to feel like part of a community no matter what your fitness level is. The coaches are very knowledgeable, inclusive and really make the classes fun and enjoyable.
Emma Yarborough: My husband and I moved to Boston from Nashville last summer, and I was looking for a new crossfit gym. I loved my old gym in Nashville, so it had big shoes to fill. But from the moment I stepped in the doors at CF Boston, I felt welcomed and right at home. The coaches are all amazing (Gianni, Jorge, Jacob, Jeanine, Victoria, Alex!) and the community is great. Great location, updated equipment, competitive athletes, fun events/competitions, etc. Overall very well run gym (thanks JC!). Highly, highly recommend this gym. I love CF Boston!!!
Bailey Wilkinson: Great staff, friendly and fun environment!
Gleb: It's been my 2nd home for years! Great staff and great group of supportive people, no matter what level of fitness you're at!
Solveig Haugen: My family spent the Holidays in Boston and came to a couple open gyms - it was great! The staff was super welcoming and the gym itself is great!
Liv Haugen: While out of town family were visiting, we stopped by CrossFit Boston several times and the staff was always so friendly and accommodating. Clean, accessible space with lots of equipment and super helpful coaches and staff. Would love to go back!
Jan Haugen: Dropped in for open gym - staff super friendly, great space with lots of equipment and very clean. Can’t wait to go back!
Justin Balint: Dropped in to a 4:30PM weekday class while in town for work. JC and Jorge were both very friendly, gym was clean and spacious, and I immediately felt welcomed by the community in class. Excited to be visiting Boston frequently for work and dropping in often.
Chana Weissman: I dropped in for a few days and had a great time. The gym is clean and neat and the workouts were fun (CrossFit type fun). More than anything, the coaching was superior.
Brandon Cullop: Was in the area and needed a place to drop in and get a work out in. Emailed the gym and was immediately responded to. Signed up for a drop in and paid my fee. Signed up for the 9:30 class but wasn’t able to make it, but JC told me just to come into the noon class.Showed up and was greeted by Coach Gianni, super nice and very helpful. Once class started and we talked about the workout. We did some warmups to get ready for the WOD. Gianni, went over different movement options for everyone in case you needed, so you get the same effect as the full workout movement. And also talked about scaling back reps if you was doing the full moment but didn’t want todo the full amount of volume.CrossFit Boston is good for anyone who has never done crossfit before and is wanting to try it, or someone who is on the competitive side of things. The atmosphere is great. Will definitely be going back there when I’m in the area.Staff is top notch! JC is super cool and down to Earth as well. Was able to chat with him after class, as well as Gianni. Felt like I’d know them for a while
Frances: Super easy and flexible drop in process! I had an amazing experience and wish I could come back. The class was straightforward and the coach was truly amazing. I’ve been doing CrossFit for five months and I gained huge technique improvements in just one visit. The coach was attentive, gave both reinforcing and corrective feedback, and everyone was super welcoming. There wasn’t much vanity going around- even though they do maintain the leaderboard, it was a great atmosphere and culture. The workout I did had a mix of indoor and outdoor elements and I truly enjoyed my visit.
Julianne Taylor: I dropped in from out of town. The equipment is clean, nice space, and friendly people.

Invictus Boston: what do users think?
Amanda Maguire: I’ve been a member here for a few months now and I love it! It’s a few minutes of a walk from the Arlington T stop. It doesn’t look like your typical CrossFit location, it’s inside of a really nice building with a furniture store and deli, I got a little confused my first day finding it. Every single coach is great, they give great feedback and are very helpful. You can check the WOD on an app called SugarWOD and their programming is excellent. I always look forward to their workouts, they’re just the right amount of challenging. I’ve been to many CrossFit gyms and this one I highly recommend!!
Sarah K. Silverman: Fantastic experience dropping in. Everyone was very friendly, happy to help with scales, and generally very encouraging. The coaches (I met three) were excellent. Will definitely be back!
Andrew Blunt: Good spot! Friendly coaches, ample clean and working equipment. I'll say that just for dropping in, the website and locating the gym itself could have been explained a little better. Go into the big building. Take a right. Find the invictus door. Head down the stairs.
Heran Nho: Just dropped in. Coach Bern was expert at explaining the WOD and warming us up. Got my a— whipped! The members were warm and welcoming. Locker room has showers, towel service, and even mouth wash! If I lived in the area, this would be my CrossFit home!
Meredith Anderson: I have been a member of this gym for about 5 years now and I love it. The quality of the coaching is excellent. The coaches take you through a warm up before each class, and they demonstrate each movement beforehand. They also coach you if they see you are doing a movement incorrectly. I would usually rather sit on the couch than work out, but once I am there, it is actually fun! Fun people and nice coaches. I believe my fitness has improved quite a bit. If you are feeling intimidated by CrossFit, don't worry, you can "scale" the exercises in any workout to your current abilities.
Aaron Varcasio: My wife and I were visiting from Denver, CO for our 5 year wedding anniversary. When we travel it is a ritual that I visit the local gym and she (the garden or coffee shop). Either way I enjoyed my time during open gym. Alex was very hospitable. I enjoyed training in the basement of their gym to continue to prep for an upcoming Powerlifting meet. Thank you for the visit.
Kris Conell: Great experience dropping in to this Box. Great coaching (Josh) and friendly people. I'll be back next time I am in Boston!!!
Peter M. LoVerso: Some of the best coaches and programming I have ever seen at a gym. People who really care about fitness, and the people they serve. Highly recommended. (been going for over a year) I just read a negative review of the athletes and coaches. I will say that while yes, this gym has some of the top athletes in CrossFit, they are also some of the most friendly and welcoming people I've ever met. It doesn't matter if you are starting out or experienced, they treat everyone the same.
Canned Jesus: Brace yourself for social suicide. People here are patently laughable. Every male comes complete with Napoleon complex, as not a single one will stand over five feet and eight inches. Every female comes complete with a pedestal so high up that you'll never even get as much as a whiff of their attention. The gym is tiny, and good luck signing up for your class as much as two weeks in advance. It's almost as if the coaches want you to fail, so they can look better.
W. Cecyl Hobbs: Take the best parts of CrossFit and plop them down in Boston's Back Bay; that's what you get here. The coaches and the community make this a very special place. This place brings together true professionals who are dedicated to complete fitness, incorporating a bevy of regular barbell-oriented WODs, gymnastics-focused classes, powerlifting and Olympic lifting classes, yoga and mobility sessions, and endurance programming. What's more is that every single coach is really focused on encouraging you to be the best athletic version of you that's possible. I love that.In addition to the wonderful team working at RCFBB, there is a great sense of community here. Bern Prince leads a lot of the social activities (e.g., Friday night outings, formal and semi-formal events) but there are a lot of other ways that community is built and supported here. Since joining in 2013, I have seen members support the Boston Iron (NPGL) team at matches, get together to run mud races or other endurance events, cheer on members running marathons, and team up to participate in local weightlifting or CrossFit competitions. It really feels like one big fitness family. Whenever I'm traveling for work, I realize just how special this particular environment is. I strongly encourage anyone who wants more than a typical gym experience to check out the place!
Samantha Medeiros: Reebok CrossFit Back Bay is like no other CrossFit training facility in the area. I have been a part of the RCFBB community for 2 years now and have yet to feel like I needed to make a change. First off, their dual locations make for an easy commute to and from the gym; this location, specifically, is outstanding. Not only is RIGHT next to the Arlington T Stop, it also hosts two separate gym spaces - bonus! RCFBB's coaching staff is one of the best I've worked with; they're personable, educated, and genuinely care about the progression of their members. Their diverse skillsets are a huge resource for members looking to advance in any way; whether its mobility, strength, or endurance - there is always someone you can work with. The combination of RCFBB's pristine facilities, equipment, staff, and community make it a force to be reckoned with in the "gym world." So if you're looking for a facility with a tight knit community, killer staff, and challenging workout programming (for all skill levels), Reebok CrossFit Back Bay is for you!!
Colin Gould: So you wanna start CrossFit and you live in Boston.....? Well this is the place to do it. The day I joined was the equivalent of signing up for a life changing experience both in and out of a gym. The coaches here are nothing but the best, ready to make you the best you can be and willing to help you even on their days off. The community keeps growing and growing and has become something of a family to me, one of them happens to be my girlfriend. The facility at St James is wonderful, super nice locker rooms and showers which is new to most crossfit boxes. Walk in and youll see how clean the enitre gym is ready for you to crush a WOD and walk out of there. Enjoy the time here because its well worth it.

CrossFit 617 - Dorchester: what do users think?
Andrew Garcia: The coaching here is the best I’ve ever had since beginning Crossfit 9 years ago, and the facility is beautiful and clean (the photos on this page show the old location. See the website for the new one)
Daniel Echeverrìa Cordoba: Amazing atmosphere and very qualified staff
Joel Richards: The owners and coaches have created a true community. One built around health, fitness, and encouragement. The new location is great and you even get to run next to the neponset sometimes.
Rory Coleman: Great local box! Professional, experienced, knowledgeable, and welcoming coaches with a supportive community that motivated me to achieve my training goals and have fun along the way. There is a plethora of equipment, a nice men's locker room space, and even an in house physical therapy studio. Excellent place to start or continue your fitness journey!
Dennis Negron-Rivera: I dropped in for the week of Thanksgiving and the folks here were very helpful and welcoming. The facility is state of the art (I wish my box was this sleek!!). Will definitely be back if I’m ever in the area.
Christian Gastelum: Started my CrossFit journey at CrossFit 617 and couldn’t me more grateful that I did. Their fundamentals course eased the learning curve of starting CrossFit. The coaches were very motivating, personable, and knew exactly what they were doing. Classes were tough and worth every second.
Emily Granahan: Great people, great classes, very accepting environment!
Stephen Punzak: CF617 has been a truly amazing experience! If you are looking for a diverse, inclusive community of fitness-minded people, this is your place, no matter what your current level of fitness is.To understand why CF617 is so much better and different than a 'gym", consider the well-known phenomenon of people making New Years' resolutions to get in shape. They join a gym in January and start off strong but most have quit by Spring. Why? They walk into a room with hundreds of pieces of equipment and have no idea where to start, or what to do every day. They fall into a routine of a bit of weight-lifting and then some cardio on a treadmill or bike. BORING. No coaching. No improvement. So they give up.It is TOTALLY different at CF 617. You show up for an hour 3-5 times a week for HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training). It is a structured class with an instructor. The instructor guides the class through a routine of warm up, stretching, technique, and then there is usually a strength piece followed by the WOD (workout of the day). Although each class follows the same general format, in 9 months every single class has been different. And every single class builds on the classes that have come before. In each class you may have CF veterans who have been doing it for years mixed in with brand new members. All of the workouts and exercises are "scalable" so that everyone can do them. And before you even start your first group class, everyone goes through Elements: a 1:1 introduction to CF.I am 61 years old, have run the Boston Marathon and played collegiate rugby. 9 months into CF and I am far stronger, fitter and more flexible than I have ever been in my life. The motto of CF617 is "Be Kind. Be Humble. Be Strong". The coaches and the community are incredibly supportive. YOU WILL LOVE IT!!!
Samantha Berrick: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI can't say enough about this gym! I hesitated to join a Crossfit for years having felt intimidated, overwhelmed and not in good enough shape to begin. Pete, his team, and every single coach and member are amazing and beyond encouraging. They've created the culture and community they deserve and genuinely want everyone to succeed.
Griffin Rosseau: I dropped in at CrossFit 617 - Dorchester for a week during the Christmas holidays and I am so glad I did. This is a brand new facility with amazing coaches and a superb owner/coach, Pete. I highly recommend this box and look forward to coming back again soon! Thanks for everything!
JESSICA CASTILLO: Best gym! They make you feel right at home. All level welcome.
Jess Rubin: Positive:QualityThis is the best gym I’ve ever been a part of! It’s truly such a welcoming and fun community and a great place to learn and grow. I can’t recommend it enough for the quality of instruction and amazing programming.
ana victoria chacon: CrossFit 617 is not just a place where you go and push yourself to the limit, but a second home.I’ve been there for over a month, I took the elements program with Sean and he was always super cool and patient explaining the exercises and the correct posture. He also helped me overcome some of my fears and made it easier to start a fitness experience that can be super intimidating.Being in Boston for 3+ years, it’s been difficult to find a fitness place where you feel comfortable and welcome, but CrossFit 617 In Dorchester feels like being home, since the very first moment you step in.All the coaches are really nice and helpful and you will discover with them new abilities you never thought you’d have.Once, I read this in a review when researching for this place, and I completely agree: “do yourself a favor and try this place, you’ll never regret it!”Thank you CrossFit 617 Dorchester! Let’s goooo! 🤜🏼🤛🏽
Atty T Geanacopoulos: Did a couple of Drop-ins at this gym. I’m usually pretty shy in trying new places. Especially even more when working out in front of new people. I ended up doing 2 of the crossfit open workouts here and EVERYONE was beyond warm and welcoming. The coaches were great communicators and teachers. Will be dropping in everytime I’m in town! Fully recommend!
Mauricio E: Great gym and staff.
Robbie Frederick: Great CrossFit gym with level headed people all looking out for one another. Solid community whether you get your workout in first thing in the morning or evening. I just wish there were more available class times on weekends.
Paul Galligan: great gym with knowledgeable coaches and a tight, supportive community. Highly recommended for all ranges of fitness
Lynne-Marie Shea: Great programming and staff!
marie williams: Great place! Dropped in a few times when I was back in Boston! Wods are great, coaches are great and cool Crossfit peeps! Great community!
J Lee (JLV): About one year ago, I relocated back to my hometown here in MA after a very long stint away living/working overseas in Asia, which was also where my first exposure and crossfit journey began. Needless to say the relocation was a BIG move in so many ways imaginable. One of my top priorities when I first came back was to find myself a box to continue my training. Decided to give CF617 a try after reading some great reviews, reached out, attended a FREE trial class and decided to join. I didn’t even feel like I needed to try out others! I felt everyone was so welcoming, coaches and other members alike. Great community which is so important and just makes “putting yourself through hell” in the workouts that much more bearable! ;) The other main deciding factors for me personally are the coaching style, as well as the general workout/class programming at CF617. It’s similar to what I have been use to back at my old box and much prefer that there is usually focus on a strength component (to work on strength!) and a WOD of some sort to follow. Never a dull moment, never bored...which is what makes crossfit training so great here.
Amanda Bolgioni: CF617 has an amazing and welcoming environment and community for exercise enthusiasts at any level!

Invictus Boston: what do users think?
Jason Michas: Best CrossFit gym in Boston! Awesome coaches and great class availability at multiple locations
Michael Lordi: I started at Invictus Boston back in September. The programming, coaches, and community are all awesome! Shout out to the St. Jimmy’s crew!
Sophia Cue: Invictus is a great community and offers incredible programming and expert coaching! :) everyone is so nice and the workouts are killer. HIGHLY recommend
Meredith Anderson: Going here not only helps me keep in shape, but is also a fun, social experience! Very nice members, friendly coaches who really know their stuff, and a really nice facility!Don't be intimidated by theworkouts of the fact that it's CrossFit. If anything is beyond your current skill level, it can always be modified.
Christopher Lento: This is a great crossfit style gym with excellent coaches and good amenities.
Jon Gunter: I dropped in here for 4 days while I was in town. Nice facility and helpful coaching staff. Classes can fill up fast but they offer lots of different (concurrent) class time options. I will definitely be back!
Jessica French: My husband and I dropped in and had a fantastic workout. The staff members and athletes at Invictus are helpful, welcoming and friendly. Great, clean gym! Thank you Invictus Boston!
Jennifer Ashburn: I am writing as a drop in member of Invictus. My hubs is a cross fit guy and it’s a great way for us to spend some time together getting strong and staying fit. We are both in our 50’s. I’ve been watching from a far for several years as my husband has been physically transformed by his training at XFit Invictus. He is literally adding years to his life by taking charge of his fitness and the coaches and other members are so supportive and engaging in helping that happen. It’s a place where all you have to do is step in the door and work the program to the best of YOUR ability. If you are consistent….you will see results. The community is such that you want to come back over and over again.Personally, I find Invictus to be a very special place. The owners are always on hand and very engaged with everyone at the box. This culture clearly trickles down because I’ve found everyone to be very friendly and supportive from elite athletes to beginners. The thing I truly didn’t understand about xfit before taking a few classes was that it can be scaled for EVERYONE! Your starting point DOES NOT MATTER! I’ve never feel judged (except maybe by myself) by anyone involved. It’s all encouragement and support. If you are looking for structure, guidance and coaches that are excited about fitness, their jobs and helping you grab hold of your health then take a class at Invictus! You won’t regret it….well maybe except for some Muscle soreness but that comes with the territory!!

Tom Cubeta: Awesome coaches, programming, and facilities
Mike Kaplan: Before joining Invictus I had not been in a gym in years and was unhappy with the shape I was in. I thought it would be intimidating going in there for the first time, but it couldn't be further from the truth. From the coaches to other members and even the owner, it has continued to be a welcoming place for people of all skill levels to workout, and I am grateful for how they've helped shape my fitness. I've now been there for 7 years and couldn't imagine going anywhere else.
Joseph Butler: Great experience here. I am a garage gym crossfit guy. I try to drop in different places when I am traveling. Being that I follow invictus online programming this was def fun. Facility is one of the nicest I have been to. Showers, towels, huge locker room. Workout space is great. Had an excellent coach and kept the usual friendly CF culture. Recommend to any traveling CF addict.

CrossFit Somerville: what do users think?
Bryan Lazú: Great space with nice coaches. They are an awesome community.
Eli Pollock: Been a member for just over 3 months, and loving it so far. It's pricier than the typical gym membership, but I see it as a good incentive to go regularly and get the most benefit. Physically, I've already noticed improvement to my strength and mobility. Getting through difficult workouts has also made me feel mentally stronger and capable of tackling challenges in other areas of life. CFSV is a friendly, supportive community and I am excited to continue my journey here!
Lucas Oliver: Great spot to work out. Lots of variety in programming each week. The coaches are super friendly and helpful. It’s a pretty small community of loyal members, and it could definitely benefit from more gym goers. A welcoming place that I highly recommend.
Dolores Yanez: Buenos días muy bien
Natalie Mendoza: Friendly staff, I wish they would check vaccines and better enforce the mask mandate but I get not wanting to cause a confrontation.
Ben B: Move the weights out from behind the racks. Then no one has to stand around waiting for someone to finish their reps for no reason. A little organization would go a long way with this place.Edit: This is a legit review. The weight plates are placed in a really awkward location, and it drove me nuts.I'm sorry you don't like to get a low review, but there is a lot more I could say if you'd like.
Mathieu Perry: Great workout and gym. Coaches are extremely helpful and accommodating.
Ivan Popov: Yes!
Lynn Rosedale: Awesome community!
Steven Settle: Good community, coaches are very knowledgeable, good focus of form and safety.
Curtis Warren: Friendly people
Travis Van Durme: Excellent coaching staff and plenty of equipment
Jason Williams: It's worth it
Joshua Thompson: Such an awesome place. I've gotten in much better shape and made some great friends thanks to this place!
Jeff Dean: Great space with terrific staff. Been with them for 2.5 years, love it.
Sérgio Garcia Alves: Nick and others know understand the business and the different people that show up to experiment and enjoy this exciting exercise. The installation is nice, price is reasonable, and they master the art of training. Thanks for all the fun and lessons I had there.Sergio
