Boston Athletic Association: what do users think?
Jeremy Hugh: Treat fundraising runners like garbage. Fair that 2020 is cancelled but not giving deferment t charity runners like the rest of the marathon majors participants shows how much they actually care. Meanwhile, you can resubmit your 2019 qualifying times for 2021 🤔
Caleb Burke: Only reviewed 5 stars because the only review available was one star. It couldn't be THAT bad, right?
Tricia Sylva: Throwing Ol Glory on the ground.... Unacceptable

Boston Athletic Club: what do users think?
Don Murray: Any update on the reopening timeline? Thanks
Alexander Comforti: Are you ever going to reopen again?
Michael Fenn: When you are you reopening??
Hieu Le: Critical:Communication,ProfessionalismWon’t reopen or attempt to do so safely with everything going on. Cashing in on the PPP loan which you can view online this whole time. My guesstimate is it’ll reopen at the beginning of the year since the loans are expired now.
Liz Holcomb: Why is the club closed? Will it be reopening at some point?
Jeffrey Milinazzo: It's time to open up!
Brielle Curvey: In a year the BAC team has done nothing for members and refuses to update us with any substantive information. I mostly used the club for tennis because of its convenient location - though the tennis accommodations were underwhelming to begin withThe lack of communication and overall unwillingness to even test reopening strategies is extremely disappointing. I will find somewhere else to play, and now that I have a home gym I will never be back.
Ryan Abbott: RE-OPEN! You've had all this time to come up with a safe, effective plan to re-open with limited capacity (even do online bookings!) and sanitation stations. But instead, you cut your community off from a healthy outlet. You will never again see my business!
Rachana Patil: Awesome group exercises and the instructors. Worth it.
Jacqueline Herb: Front desk worker named Nell is super friendly and helpful! Great staff 😉
Cheri Downer: Mmmm? Probably not where I was headed. Sorry google, never been to this place either.
David Godin: Great location, plenty of equipment. Friendly and helpful staff. It has classes, a pool, personal trainers and as many other extra benefits as one could hope for (to include child care). I doubt there's a better gym in the Boston Area. Don't normally rate places, but they had an oddly low rating and felt compelled to speak up for them.
Kelly Fink: Great gym. Has it all. Pool, Jacuzzi, Yoga/Dance/Exercise Classes, Great equipment, Personalized training, on site physical therapy, massage, chiropractor and a hair salon. Childcare available. Locker room and showers are very clean. Steam room, and Sauna. Front desk staff is great. Towel service. Given all of this, you can’t beat the price $79/mth.
Kathy Attardo: Took a water aerobics class w my Mom! I have no idea what it's called but afterwards I realized that these older women are in better shape than me!! This place is the BEST, hands down!
Rob Stan: Helpful knowledgeable staff, trainers, massage, PT, Chiropractor, pool, hot tub, saunas, tennis courts, racquetball, basketball, fitness classes, bikes and machines of all kinds. Take a tour and talk to the staff, not a perfect club and expensive at $70 a month but few can match it, Clean with people of all ages and races you will be welcomed no matter what shape or size you are because they are definitely friendly here.
Ken Yee: Great works out space in South Boston.Biggest negative is the tennis courts are not well lit. A few inexpensive skylights would improve it immensely.
killer winner: I when the there the first time was good but the second time was awesome I when the swimming 🎱 and then I ate 🍕 I loved it
Jason Weeks: Was called racial slur my first week there. It seems like an old boys club, with lots of townie old men. Small section with gym equipment but I was told it's expanding soon. I'm not sure how long I will remain a member.Edit: continued membership, haven't had any problems since. I hope it was an isolated incidence. Most other people have been friendly. Rich is super welcoming and the front desk staff are great. The weight section was expanded to a large room with much more space, while keeping the old area as well.
Kathryn Garbuzinski: The front desk staff are really friendly, there's a variety of equipment and classes, and there's a pool. Definitely no shortage of barbells which is nice. But that's where the benefits end. I'm paying $90/mo to deal with one leg press, people who don't rerack and leave 90lb of plates loaded on the bench, and it looks like a lot of the equipment hasn't been replaced since this place opened. WiFi is spotty at best, showers are gross and old. Tried finding a bar pad for hip thrusts and the only one was old, broken, and just as effective as wrapping a towel around the bar (which I did instead).Outside of equipment, the parking lot is riddled with pot holes, the hours are mediocre at best, and guest passes for members are $20.It has a decent amount of equipment for sure but I've been a member of nicer gyms that cost half this. You're really only paying for location.
tpatrick Meyers: Water Aerobics classes with Lori , Yoga with Terry and Group Exercise with Rhea are great classes. A health club with a lot to offer. The members are encouraging to one another.
William Spencer: Clean place❤

Boston Athletic Training: what do users think?
Kevin Phan: Helpful to my little brother
Kenneth Faria: Best training company in the Boston area! Great coaching that work with all ages and push athletes to excel in their sports. I know from experience that these guys care about their athletes and go above and beyond to help them succeed! Highly recommend!!!
Lital Asher-Dotan: Positive:CommunicationMy kids love BAT! They enjoy the challenging group workouts, the coaching and the team. The program is flexible and fit our schedule, and is a good addition as dryland workout for hockey players like my sons.
Shi-Min Chin: I started doing speed and agility training with BAT early this spring and it has been an excellent experience so far! I've played ultimate frisbee for over a decade and figured I needed to up my athleticism somehow to keep up as I am getting older. I have done various speed/agility/plyo drills countless times over the past decade and always wondered why they didn't really translate to the field. But training 1:1 with Coach Chaim has made a huge difference! We very quickly took 0.5 seconds off my 40. Coach Chaim is great at spotting weaknesses and form issues and it turns out I'd been doing a lot of the drills wrongly. He's been patient and professional and I feel like I've learned and improved lot. It's also significantly motivating - I definitely work harder during our 1:1 and push myself to a point that I can't do by myself. I can't wait till sports come back so that I can see the difference on the field.
Andrew Landry: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,Quality
Dylan Duncan: I started training at BAT this April. I was coming off a season where I did well but really struggled with my jumpshot. As soon as I started training Chiam immediatly helped me improve my jumpshot. He helped me focused on the fundementals. Throughout my training he has also helped me improve my athleticism and ball handling, while also providng at home workouts to do when we are not trainign with him. I higly enjoy my training and highly recomend it to anyone who wants to become a better athelete and improve thier skills in basketball and or football
Jim Morrison: My son started training with BAT last fall. He is a football lineman and has become much more athletic as a result of the efforts of the BAT staff. They are true professionals and have not missed a beat during the Covid 19 crisis. They have taken precautions and made virtual options for training that would make any parent comfortable. I cannot recommend Chaim and Eli enough!!
JJ Bussgang: I don't quite know how to express what an amazing impact Coach Chaim and Boston Athletic Training (BAT) will have on you or your child if you choose to buy into it. I have been training with Coach Chaim since I was 12 years old. My parents and I found him on a website called CoachUp and I did a session to teach me some basics of football and work on my speed as I transitioned from playing football to soccer. He was still in school and we used towels and magazines instead of cones. I have continued to train with him for the past 8 years and have watched him grow his business from the ground up, now running an incredibly professional operation with cones, hurdles, and weights of all sorts while still maintaining the personal attention that he provided to me when I was his first and only client. When I first started with him, I was fat, slow, and not at all a natural athlete (I ran a 7.0 second 40-yard dash at one point which, for those of you who don't know, is incredibly slow) and through hard work and consistent training with Coach Chaim and in the weight room, went on to become a starter on a college football team. Trust me, whether you are 8 or 18, training with BAT consistently and buying into the program with a ton of hard work can turn any kid into a SIGNIFICANTLY better athlete and make them better at their sport. If being strong, fast, and in shape, as well as developing sports-specific skills is important to you, BAT is worth every penny.
Ben Shure: I have been training with Chaim and Eli at BAT for almost 10 months and I couldn't be happier with my results. They've done an excellent job teaching me and motivating me. They set up a program to meet my specific goals and I've been really happy with the results. I've significantly improved my fitness and gained 20lbs of muscle. Both their knowledge and attentiveness has been greatly appreciated.
Jay Kulkarni: I began training with BAT (Boston Athletic Training) in the last few months of 2017. After playing a mediocre season in 8th grade football, I practically begged my parents to let me train in order to become the best athlete I could be. In my first session, I was nervous and feared that I had made the wrong decision. I kept wondering: what if athletics just aren’t for me? After my first trial session, I realized that there was absolutely nothing to be nervous about when going to train with BAT. From the get go, it was clear to see that Coach Chaim, the owner, was a true master at his craft, drills, and technique, and clearly knew what I needed to work on in order to take my game to the next level. I left the field after that first session feeling excited and pumped up to be able to go back and train once again the next week with such a fantastic and knowledgeable coach. Since that day, I’ve seen improvement on various aspects of my game. My 40 yard dash has come down by nearly one whole second, my 60 yard shuttle has improved to become a very competitive time, and my footwork and agility have skyrocketed. At nearly every football prospect/summer camp I attend I get pulled aside by coaches from various schools telling me they see potential in my game, and I owe it all the staff of Boston Athletic Training. They make it a point to make sure that at each training session there is high energy levels and excitement. As funny as it may sound, I don’t think I would rather be doing anything else during my late winter nights than be squatting in the weight room with Coach Eli, the strength coach, or doing resisted broad jumps with Coach Chaim in the turf room just next door. If you choose to work with BAT I can promise that if you work hard, stick to the script, and have a positive attitude when coming to train that the gains will certainly come.
Eva O'Brien: Chaim Andler at Boston Athletic Training has been an excellent coach and resource for my son. Aside from training, fitness and football, Chaim has become a mentor to my son, providing him with the guidance we hope all coaches strive to impart to their players. My son first came to Chaim looking to improve his skill, increase his power and agility and learn how to be explosive in ways that complement his strength. Within three months of spring speed and agility training, my son, who was then a seventh grader, qualified for the state track meet with four other kids from his school. Chaim continually researches new and effective strength and agility techniques and applies them with the kids he trains. A diverse series of skills and strength work helps the kids make gains without being bored by repetitive work that quickly loses its effectiveness. Chaim also puts a lot of thought into the goals, preferences, skill sets and positions of each of his trainees. My son is a running back on offense and a safety on defense. In the last few years, his skills on the field have improved exponentially. I believe we have Chaim to thank for that.
Finn McMillan: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityWhen I first started with Coach Chaim, I had almost no muscle mass, and was totally out of shape. He helped me build muscle and endurance through strength training and conditioning, and he has also greatly improved my basketball game. He’s a great guy, and if you want to improve as an athlete, you should stick with him.
Deb Vogel: Highly recommend BAT. Coach Chaim and his staff have been an absolute godsend this summer. My son is seeing immediate results across the board, not just in his primary sport of soccer, but in his overall fitness level. He is working unbelievably hard every session and the coaches are there to inspire, push and encourage him- all in an appropriate manner. We are so pleased that we found BAT and look forward to many more years of progress and strength building!
Kirsten Engel: We have been extremely pleased with our experience with Boston Athletic Training. They have provided wonderful coaching for our high school aged son in both basketball (group and private) and strength training. We could not ask for more enthusiastic and professional trainers. They are truly committed to providing high quality training that addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the individual, including personal followup and support above and beyond the scheduled sessions. And most importantly our son has had a ton of fun while training. We strongly recommend BAT!
Eileen Lynch: My son Patrick loves working with Coach Chaim. He likes his patience and ability to find your weakness that needs to be built up and perfected. Patrick appreciates all the constructive and positive criticism he receives during his practices. Coach Chaim is very professional and has been very flexible during these difficult times.
Colin Potter: Coach Chaim worked on basketball skills with three children for several weeks. It was a wonderful experience. He was very knowledgeable, and great with the kids. I would highly recommend him and would certainly hire him again in the future.
Njavan Stewart: I started training with my guy Chaim this spring and more recently got the chance to begin training on a consistent basis. This summer I have seen improvements in all around aspects of my game with chaims help and consistency. We’ll recommended!
May F Chiu: Coach Chiam is great trainer for 1-1. Tremendous effort working with my 16 yr old daughter gain strength, agility and conditioning after ACL surgery. Made great gains, and gave a significant boost to her confidence getting back to varsity level competitive playing for basketball and volleyball in just 3 weeks.
dukens petit: One of the greatest trainers in the Boston area which he should really be thinking about going global, really takes his time to understand his athletes which is a must. The results will show in whoever is training with him. He is a complete focus and a dedicated coach. Keep up the good work coach Chaim!!
Tom Burton: BAT is incredible, the help they have given me has been great; I would suggest that any football or basketball player looking to improve start training with them immediately!
Andrew Chiocca: Best coach in the New England area. Will make you a better athlete and football/basketball player!

Boston University Fitness and Recreation Center: what do users think?
Kazi Mukitul: free for Full time students. Amazing place for fitness exercise and games.
Ben Senderling: It's a good gym. But they're doing some equipment cleaning and renovations and appear to not be bring back the 110 and 120 lbs dumbells. Those were a significant reason I switched to this gym.
Jonathan Nash: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection.
Bob Kao: Nice gym and swimming pool
Chris Chang: Please state that you're not open on Google too.
Omar: Awesome gym! Loads of equipment and with 20,000 SQ feet you won't be disappointed. Of course around peak times you would normally find a line for the core lifts( bench, deadlift and squat) but with two floor of equipment even a indoor track?! Love this place!
Sage Holloway: Too crowded. Generally a nice space but I can almost never do my workout plan because it’s overly crowded and not enough space/equipment.
Mikhail M. Nitko: Hi-- I am actually part of the staff at BU and use this center, and I want to note a few things:1. There are staff-only locker rooms, which by my experience are used 80% by staff and I'm not sure how some of the younger patrons of these got the keypad codes to get in. Its my only reason for 4 and not 5 stars.2. Your BU Blue Cross/Blue Shield health benefit can be used here and will reimburse $150.3. If you don't buy a locker membership, finding a locker during a crowded time (4pm+) can be tough, but not impossible.4. The equipment is new and quite good, but be mindful that these are kids you're working out with, some of whom were in highschool the year prior, and many will not know gym etiquette about wiping things down after use, or not starting a workout infront of someone using the wall mirror for their workout. And other small nuisances.5. The sauna is located in the locker room for the pool, but bear in mind that it is dry, the temperature control is outside the room and I think goes only to 130 or so, and is a bit temperamental (in the men's locker room), and more importantly-- there is no water to place on the stones. So the students/staff get water from elsewhere and bring it in water bottles to place it on the stones so the room has steam. So don't expect an authentic sauna experience at 180 degrees, and ladling water.6. The indoor track is really nice, and rare, and I am super-grateful for it because treadmills are so boring. But take note of what I said in point #3-- you're also sharing it with kids who don't know gym etiquette yet, and will not read the signs that say that on specific days of the week you run/walk in one or another specific direction around the track. So you will run into them, and will need to correct them, but so far all have taken the correction in a friendly way.7. Some locker-room showers do have broken soap dispenses that don't work despite being full, so you'll need to be aware and bring your own.Otherwise the facility is plain great -- clean facility, new equipment, good airflow on the running track, minimal college highjinks from the students that are confined to the locker room.
Joseph Walker: Great facilities, excellent equipment selection. Only complaint is the Men's locker room could use better ventilation, if you catch my meaning.
Chuan Hu (Archuan): I come here at least twice a week! Good facilities and friendly staff.
Dave Bedard: First rate
Sarah Bella: too crowded, but nice
Xiangyi Meng: One of the best things of being a bu student.
Desmond Molloy: Parents/community members, please take care using facilities: FitRec has at least one employee facing criminal charges for indecent exposure.
Mariusz Kaczka: I climbed in this gym when in Boston; reasonable prices and great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend it :)
Eric Lazarian: Plenty of parking, not too expensive, machines are new, great track. Lockers suck, little floor help. Good location.
Meifeng Jiang: Best. Good big pool
Agent MeatBun: Such a nice place to work out.It has the best equipment, there should always have enough space and equipment for u.
Robert Gerstner: The Fitrec has been an amazing part during my studies at Boston University. It's a great place to meet and talk to other students from BU and the building offers everything you need for doing great sports (perfect for swimming, climbing, running, weight lift, soccer, basketball, volleyball, tennis, squash, dancing and much more ...)
Pengcheng Zhou: Best University Gym in Boston Area.

Beacon Hill Athletic Clubs: what do users think?
Ibrahim Hadzic: Great locations, well equipped gyms, and fair price for Boston, especially if you're a student.
Caroline C: Friendly staff, clean gym, and reasonable price for the city
Isabella Piazzesi: I have been going to Beacon Hill Athletic Club for about a year now, it has been a great experience! As a girl, I was always intimidated in the weight room at other gyms, NOT the case here! Everyone is so nice, mind their owen workout and there is no judgement on what you do. The best part of it is the staff, they are so welcoming and friendly. This gym honestly makes you feel at home. My biggest shoutout is to the Gym Mananger and my personal trainer Jeremy! I signed up for personal training sessions from the start as I had put on A LOT of weight during Covid. Over the past year I have worked with him in Strenth Training programs. He always listens and is attentive during the sessions, makes sure you are doing the right form for each workout and keeps it fun! I owe much my weightloss sucess to him, overall I've lost 35lbs!So if you are looking for a new gym and to feel welcomed and at home, this is your spot!!
Justin Sollis: I worked with Jeremy McCabe, the head Personal Trainer at Beaconhill and he’s by far the best trainer I worked with in my fitness journey! I’ve tried different programs and trainers and never got the results I wanted. When working with Jeremy he set me up with a program and I saw huge improvements such as an increase in strength and losing weight. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to fitness and nutrition and he gives you the individual attention you need to accomplish your goals!Beaconhill Athletics Club is also one of the best fitness complex’s I’ve trained at as well. If you’re looking to go into a gym and focus on getting your workout done then this is the place for you. It’s a welcoming facility offering many services such as Muay Thai, Brazilian Ju Jitsu and many other classes!
annika cianciolo: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityGreat workout spot! Very clean facilities and well maintained.
Sujeeth Buddai: Awesome gym with plenty of equipment, extensive free weight area. Highly recommend.
Celeste Peay: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityI've recently joined BHAC and have really enjoyed the convenience of going to the gym on the way home from work. Their ladies' locker rooms are clean, bright, and have space to change. I've never had to wait for a cardio machine, and the gym is never overly crowded which I appreciate!
Stephanie Butler: Coming from a long time member for about 8 or 9 years now....this gym does more than the trick. In a perfect location, BHAC North Station has been my staple between changes of homes, and changes of jobs. Right at North Station, is it the perfect way to start my morning after commuting in to the city. Close to the Charles River, I've utilized this area plenty of times for outdoor runs to accompany my indoor workouts. At night, there is electric hustle and bustle around the TD Garden. The gym is not overly flashy or pushy, and not a short-lived trend or niche, like so many gyms temporarily rotating through the city. The staff is excellent-- always welcoming with a smile, never pushing to sell or charge you more, willing to answer a question or assist in any way, while also staying out of your way at the same time to enable the perfect workout you came in for. The reason I have never left this gym in all of my years and job location changes remains the simplicity of the gym, combined with the care of the gym. You come here to work out, at your own pace, and in your own comfort. There is never a broken machine-- something that has been a massive pet peeve of mine at other gyms. It's a underrated delight knowing I will never have to worry about not being able to use a specific machine. They take care of the equipment and rotate in new items regularly. An endless option of cardio machines, and pretty much any kind of lifting or weight mechanism you could ever want is placed out thoughtfully for an easy flow of working out without feeling cramped. Mats, bands, foam rollers, and kettle bells are always available for use. I enjoy working out with regulars and new faces, ranging from ages all over of both women and men. One last final cherry on top is the classes the gym offers. Spin, yoga, combat.... you will never find a lack of something to do new, or new to try. I am thankful for BHAC's ongoing presence at North Station, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a gym, be it a college student, working adult, resident, or commuter. Thank you BHAC!
Steph Wagner: Great gym! Super friendly staff and all the equipment you could need.
Anthony Pasquale: Beacon Hill Athletic Club is a great gym! Ive been coming here for years and it’s always very clean and has friendly staff/trainers and everything I need to get a great workout in.
Catherine Halpin: Love the front desk staff!
Michael Akashian: I have been coming to the Causeway Street location for over 5 years. It has all of the best equipment for both cardio and weight training. The staff is very knowledgeable and eager to help the members. In addition, it is a place where you can workout with hundreds of pounds or just with light weights and there is no judgement from anyone. You can also socialize with other members as much or as little as you want to. I do not use the boxing or MMA training, but i understand it is the best around. High grades for Jeremy and the entire crew.
Zibad Rahman: Excellent weight facilities and great martial arts classes, come here if wanna learn real martial arts and get a good workout
Ralph Spetalnick: Friendly, clean, don't always have broken equipment like some other gyms
Zach Marcoulier: Great gym in an awesome location. Have all of the weights and cardio machine's you would need and a very friendly staff.
Asra Ali: Amazing gym! Great location, friendly staff and gym-goers, plenty of equipment. There's three squat racks, free weights, benches, bands, foam rollers, and more. It's rarely crowded and there's space to stretch as well. It's always clean, has showers and towels. I can't recommend it enough!
Sean Drummy: I love this place. Staff are without exception super friendly and helpful. I lift here and also train at Combat Sports Boston. The instructors at CSB are all fantastic. No meatheads or craziness, just great workouts. The gym is very well run and their equipment is great and kept in excellent shape. Highly recommend BHAC!
Andrea Medrano: I joined this gym 1 year ago after a move, it was recommended to me by a trusted coach. After months of settling I FINALLY made the call to visit and see the programs. Mat was FANTASTIC and kind enough to work with my schedule and show me around even though the gym was CLEARLY closed when I finally made it over. I attended a Muay Thai and jiu jitsu class and loved it, no need to look elsewhere this gym has it all! The training and environment has not disappointed. I would recommend this gym to anyone.
Andrew Wagner: Fantastic gym! The staff is knowledgeable and extremely helpful. I recommend it to all of my colleagues.
Brianna Florio: This gym is the complete package. There is plenty of equipment that will cater to any workout style. Whether you are getting personally trained, powerlifting, bodybuilding or just getting your steps in they have it all. The gym is relatively small, but everything is well-spaced. I like that it is not an overwhelming area. The staff are excellent and go above and beyond for their clients and members. In addition, the facilities have showers, towels, and locker rooms. Beacon Hill Athletic Club and Combat Sports Boston are partnered. I was first brought here for Jiujitsu. Again, they have amazing instructors. You can buy a membership where you take unlimited classes in Jiujitsu and Muay-Thai in addition to benefitting from all of the perks of the using the gym . If you are a commuter, this is an ideal spot — just a two-minute walk from the north station. I've been here for over five years and love how many options and support this facility gives me.

Terrence Irving: This probably isn't the type of review you were expecting, but here goes:I hate baseball. Always have. But as a wedding photographer, I love Fenway. One of my Boston couples wanted to do their engagement session in this neighborhood and we walked right past stadium. Not only did we take some awesome pictures on a game day, but one of the Fenway staff was outside and held one or two cars for us as we took pictures while crossing the street (in a crosswalk, of course). For how nice that person was alone, I'll give Fenway Park five stars. If you like baseball and live in New England, then go there!
Carmen Laffey: How would one not enjoy touring the oldest baseball park. Great tour guide, professional and humorous.

Dominique Francon: Still dirty. Treadmill TVs don't work, neither do the Bluetooth functions. Reduced hours. Blech.Update: Russian roulette with treadmills. Hard to find one with a working TV that doesn't need some sort of repair but let me help you. Number 10, 11 and 12 have some sort of issue. I also know that 2 of the 5 nearest the personal training area are fully functional. I will continue to take inventory and report back. Who knows what I will find!!
Manuel Ardon: BSC gym have anything I need good stuff working clean gym
Bruce Neri: The best BSC of Boston.
Eduardo Saverin: I have been trying to contact them from a long time and since I’m not in the country It’s been unable to do it, even through instagram I needed to freeze my account and They don’t respond me at all.If you can provide an email from the downtown crossing location, because I can’t open the app or the webpage.
Benjamin “Ben Z” Zavadoski: Great club along with a very convenient location.
Jackson Doty: The staff is super polite and helpful, and the equipment and amenities are great. Running a business is already just so difficult, throw the Covid nightmare on top of it and it’s got to just be hell. (and I will not mince words to appease you: every Covid measure was an abject failure that hurt small businesses and the average worker and (surprise!) benefitted the worst people like always, while doing nothing to help the most vulnerable. It was a shameful collective decision.) I did cancel my membership, however, because the hours just aren’t ideal for me. Being closed on Sunday just won’t work. But I’m still giving five stars because thankfully they don’t do contracts anymore so cancelling was super easy and because of that fact alone, I might someday come back. The contract model just infuriates people and ensures once they escape, they’re gone for good.
Peter D: Location is good, company is sleazy… Google what they did during the pandemic to members. If I could give zero stars I would…
Cindy Valdez Duran: I like the space. Went the other morning and they had no towels and weren't going to for another hour and a half later. Was very upset.
Kat Olowu: First time was yesterday. I took two classes...a cardio bootcamp and Bodypump on Thursday after work. The instructors were great! Going again. Nice clean facility. Lots of machines and free weights. Various areas to workout at. Thumbs up👍🏽
Yara Osman: After they took everyone’s money during Covid they decided to raise their membership prices to $89.99 which is almost double what they were before but they don’t even have half the classes the offered when memberships were cheaper so basically you pay more for a lot less?
Brian Hall: Positive:Communication,Professionalism,QualityImpressive equipment, incredible staff. I Highly recommend, especially if you're a student because it's much cheaper.
a arapat: This gym was my favorite, I was the oldest member when they first open, and I have been holding their membership for almost 6 years, my payment was 19.99 a month plus the locker total 29.99 during the pandemic they didn’t frozen my membership and still charging while they close. After they reopen. My payment wasn’t the same anymore they started charge me for 59.99 and they started closing the gym early which it doesn’t fit my schedule and I had a shoulder injury so I decided to froze my membership. After few month I think my shoulder was doing fine, so I decided to work out, so I went back to the gym to work out one day to see how my should pain goes. But it didn’t went well, so I told the guy keep froze my membership. But today I find out they didn’t canceled my membership and still charging me for these month I didn’t go. And those new employees have attitude from the hell.
MS. A. Ranks: Gains and experience expected to upgrade the rise of your physical talent posting your wild ambitions to become expert. A great scene each section to cement your cringes. Best appropriate aquatic for a conservative crowd.
Christopher Quigley: I recently had the chance to spend time at the Boston Sports club located at Downtown crossing. I was very impressed. From the friendly staff Michael W. and Tia C. To the pristine look of the equipment. Also of note were the clean and well kept locker rooms. I would recommend those seeking a good local gym to Look them up and take a tour. Dr. M
G B: Terrible overall. Old , smelly equipment. poor management. The only positive is the location.
David Hasselbeck: Love this gym. Clean, open floor plan and new equipment.
Alex Coutinho: Having a passport membership for 6 years, I can honestly say this was one of the best BSC gyms I have come across. The place is big, clean with alot of new Matrix machines with a little bit of Hoist machines. The free weights are endless that includes a deadlift platform several benches and half a dozen squat racks. I don't know why this location is the only nicest one but I wish they followed suit with the other BSC locations. This place was overall great equipment-wise as well as the staff. One of the drawbacks was the way they handled the beginning of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Still charging people, not freezing peoples account and not taking initiative to peoples concerns. I gave them the benefit of the doubt for the management to redeem themselves and they did, but then months later, they abruptly closed several locations with no announcement or explanations which included the Medford location I frequently go. That alone was enough for me to not deal with the run around and leave early than when I was going to for personal reasons. It wasn't worth continue to pay for a full membership with limited access. Ironic enough , my membership slowly went up by 20$ compared to when I started 6 years ago. It started to feel Iike I was paying for the Equinox gym at a bargain sale. This last year this franchise took a serious hit because of their neglect and felt like it was the right time to part ways. I was fortunately the lucky few that closed my membership with no issue. Hopefully the new management will take notes on taking action next time before Towns Sport international becomes non-existent.
cameron murphy: Critical:Communication,Professionalism
Hannah Young: After canceling my membership due to the pandemic and moving out of Boston, I was still being charged money that I did not owe to BSC. I literally had to cancel my credit card to make it stop.I am so frustrated that I ever gave my information to this company. I have been called 7 times and emailed many more after being asked to be taken off of their mailing list. The staff basically just says that they have no control over the mailing list once corporate has their hands on it.Please, take it from me, and do not ever sign up for this company unless you would like to be spammed 24/7.
Eric Wilcox: If you're looking to join a gym where, during a global pandemic, they will close their facilities for months without notice, and then re-open without alerting you (but still charge you), then Boston Sports Club is the gym for you.If you enjoy being ignored on the phone when asking to speak to the manager to clarify why you were charged for said months you thought the gym was closed, and then being called a liar for having not received the email/text message BSC allegedly sent (hint: they never sent them), then Boston Sports Club is the gym for you.If, after asking for a refund of these fraudulent charges (you know, because of the hardships of the pandemic and all), you seek being told that they can't afford to refund the money they shouldn't have taken IN THE FIRST PLACE because they themselves need the money, then Boston Sports Club is the gym for you.TL;DR - I should've listened to the COUNTLESS people that warned me about joining this sham of a gym. Please, don't make the same mistake I did. Save yourself the future headache, and join elsewhere.
