Berto Ortiz: Worst experience this morning with a young African American at the front desk. I go to tap my card and she gave me the rudest attitude. My wife had to use the restroom and because I had my own music on very low as I make music because I'm a musical artist she started to speak to me very unprofessional. I think it's wrong and she should be told about how to speak to your customer as I have a black card. She refused to speak correctly as I did not yell or cause a scene. It's 9:40 in the morning and she's on her phone at work as well.
Linda L: Not bad for being in the city. It was reasonably clean and had all the equipment that most planet fitness locations have. It’s in a basement so it’s dark but what can you do? It’s the city. Located kind of near the State House and the Common. I’m happy I have a black card and that I can usually find a location anywhere I travel.
sb arelli: Unfortunately not the best PF I visited.Equipment was outdated. It was functional but needed maintenance on several machines and curl bars and dumbbells. It was relatively clean. The weight room in the basement needs more ventilation. Overall it “works” but can do much better. I did not use the cardio equipment.
Glendy Mendez: Terrible service, they did not explain to me how to pay the account, they took money from me more than what I had to pay for the account, and apart from that, the manager tried to tell me that I did not understand how they explained it to me because of my lack of language, that is racism. They took me out 25 and 49 dollars for nothing

That's my go to gym when I'm in Boston, because I live in Norwood, so when I come to Dr appointments at Tufts I would stop there to get a workout in before heading home...
Carmen Ilardi: The employees are all very nice and they care about members having good experiences at this gym. Employees are constantly cleaning. This location is pretty busy but they are on top of it. As soon as something needs to be done, they do it.
Jonathan Carey: This is my favorite Planet Fitness! It's got such a cool floor layout, it's very well maintained, and there is plenty of fresh equipment to go around.

Steve Hoeschele: This place isn’t a dump, but it’s too small and poorly managed. They allow WAY too many members for its size. I’ve been to a lot of gyms, and none have been as packed as this one between 5-7pm. People are sprawled all over the floor. It’s hard to find an open machine sometimes, and the ellipticals are squeezed so tightly you can graze your neighbors’ knuckles. Sometimes I can’t even find an empty locker. They need to cut down on white card enrollments and make better use of space by eliminating the PF 360 area that people rarely use.

Nyssa Trepes: This gym is extremely clean, equipment is always kept in working condition, and the customer service is fantastic. Every person I have interacted with that works here is wonderful- Nay, Gigi, and Joshua always go above and beyond to make this gym a welcoming place. 10/10 highly recommend if you’re looking for a solid gym with awesome people.
C Br: The first thing you notice when you go into any place of business is customer service and the pleasantries that they should give out. The receptionist at the front desk, who goes by the name Gigi, lacks all that is needed in customer service. The attitude and bad energy that is given off is so unprofessional and show a lack of concern on that gym when it's addressed to management and nothing is done. The manager, Carlos, has been made aware of the lack of courtesy, professionalism, and the disrespect that his employee displays, but there seems to be no coaching, job performance review, or anything done to rectify the situation because the behavior is still the same. If you want to go to a gym to workout with peace of mind and good energy, I urge you to think twice about this gym. Your money and membership will be appreciated somewhere else where you can get the service and peace of mind that you deserve. Your outside attitude should not carry over into your atmosphere at your place of employment and unfortunately that seems to be the norm here.

The bathroom is pretty spacious with showers and stalls to get dressed in. I utilize my black card to the fullest with their Spa section, I love the hydro beds, lol. Also, I love the fact that they are a 24/7 location throughout the week. Only dislike that it's not that big.

dr bitchcraft: i don't leave reviews often but i do have to say that this gym is very over crowded, so just be weary of that and don't go alone if you are socially anxious. the staff are also not friendly at ALL and when i went in the first time i was scoffed at for not know where to check in, not a single word was spoken to me by the staff and i understand that people have hard days but this just felt like over kill and i will be switching locations asap. gyms are not exactly somewhere people go in easily and comfortably especially when they're new to it, so this environment was very upsetting to experience. i don't want to seem like a karen but it really freaked me out how rude the staff was so just be careful about that. other than that, pretty clean environment despite its size. its a typical pf

A LOT of people come in the 3-5am window because they have to work early, and can’t come after work due to family life. They choose planet fitness for the 24 hour aspect and it’s going away. Unfortunate to lose good respectful customers.
JMM Mays: I've been a member of at least 4 different gyms in over a 20 year span, but I have to say, planet fitness has to be the most logical situation with one of the best work out set ups of any affordable gym to date. I started attending with a buddy on his guest pass and immediately became a member considering all that you get with the price. Have not come across a better situation yet.
Cam Burton: I like this location, I do, but it’s so small. If you go in the afternoon, good luck finding equipment to use. And now they’re cutting back the hours, so those of us who get up early will now have to fight for equipment in the morning. If you start work early like me and have a meeting before, you no longer can go to the gym because they’ll be opening at 5am instead of 24hrs. I get cutting labor costs, but at least open 3-4am. If it is an issue like the afternoon I’ll just switch to the revere location. It’s never packed like it is here, there’s more equipment, it’s bigger. It’s by my work, so that will work. I’d prefer to come here, but if it’s an issue like the afternoon then I’ll have no choice and I imagine the morning crew will feel the same way as me.Owner: please reconsider your hours; consider opening at 4 am because your loyalist customer (not just me, but a big group of us) come to the gym 4-5am, and cutting it back will clog up the gym at 5am.
Maryanne Katz: Been a member since August 2022, after recently moving here from out of state. The staff is kind and does a good job with keeping up on cleanliness in restrooms and stocking cleaning stations. Machine repairs and cleanliness in workout area seems to be happening more consistently. Thanks!

Delores Ricciardi: The equipment is nice and facility clean, but don’t waste your time. People will just sit at the machines on their phones. The men will stare at you and follow you around no matter what you’re wearing. It’s frustrating. I can use maybe 3 machines within an hour.
Danielle B: I understand your a gym but you also run a tanning salon that should be cleaned and sanitized after every use, what is the point of having two employees on the same shift and neither one of them can go and sanitize and wipe down the beds? The stand ups need cleaning as well, when your running a tanning salon your responsibilities are to sanitize and clean after each use, don't just expect the patrons of the gym are going to do it, that's unsanitary and just lazy of the employees

Jhon Coleman: This location is frustrating, I’ve brought to staffs attention several times if they could post time limits signs on equipment, which they refuse to do. People who frequent this gym have no etiquette and will sit on the only 4 smith racks for 40min plus and it’s always the same people. If you have plans to use the smith rack here forget about it.

I just feel extremely offended by the fact that they put so much effort to appeal to the white members by having a super cool, top of the art tanning room and spa. As a colored person who lives in an area where most people are colored I feel like I’m paying all kinds of money to accommodate white people. C’mon Planet Fitness; you can do better than that.

Daniel Huang: For anyone looking to cancel from out of state like I did, send your certified mail and wait for it to be returned and then call them with the tracking number. The address they give you is incorrect because I sent 4 different certified mail and all of them were returned to me. They didn't seem too surprised that it happened and cancelled immediately when I called them with proof that I sent in my cancellation.
Alireza Dolatabadi: This has got to be the largest PF I have been to. They almost have two of every machine so the chances that you have to wait for something are low. The gym is clean. The Locker rooms do not smell nasty. I am glad I chose to get a membership here!
King Avin: New layout looks awesome new machines definitely check it out if your into a clean work out environment professional and friendly staff this gym in fields corner (500 Neponset Ave) this gym is my second home I am there practically 6 days a week sometimes I go twice in a day that tells you right there you wouldn’t go to a place you didn’t like especially twice in the same day LoL. The managers really are the best mike and Megan and all the other guys definitely check this gym out for a good clean fun work out experience

an n: While there is nothing wrong with the gym its self, i sometimes felt very uncomfortable coming to this gym. The gym is very clean. Every time I went (which was almost everyday), the gym and the ladies locker room were always very neat and clean. Never any bad smells or tissue everywhere. The staff are lovely, everyone was always very nice, very accommodating and very funny. They were always smiling and greeting. The gym is a little small so naturally they would have a smaller selection of machines then other gyms but with improvising that isn't an issue. The music was also always a fire selection and at a good volume.On the other hand, for some reason out of all the gyms I have been to and after speaking with some of my fellow gym goers.... a certain group of people at this gym SPECIFICALLY have a staring issue. And a certain group of people in this gym tend to make some women feel uncomfortable. Obviously this has nothing to do with the gym its self, and obviously there's not a lot that can be done about this issue. But after experiencing a disgusting amount of some people making me feel extremely uncomfortable and staring at my private parts while i'm working out, I felt obligated as a woman to warn others. If you can try the locations in Dedham or Quincy, they're a lot better.

Powerful Meditation and relaxation Generation: Stay away from any subscription.I enrolled in 2020 and then move out of MA in early 2021. It was a sudden move so all my utilities cancelation was done online. I called Planet Fitness countless time begging them to cancel my membership but they said I need to come to the gym center where I enrolled or send a notarized document requesting my cancelation. For over 2 years I've been charged $10 and $39 for annual membership. Today I called and like magic a manager was able to cancel my membership because he was so NICE to understand my situation lol. Please go to any other gym center I've bnevrr heard of any subscription that couldn't be cancel online. He said I should've made sure to cancel my membership before living the country. My mistake was to subscribe with my checking account. I wish I could give a zero star. Scammmmmm!!!

Leh L.: Okay, it’s a descent gym!!! It has lots of nice equipments. One thing that makes me a bit uncomfortable is the staff sign that says a male worker would be cleaning the bathroom. It’s there the ENTIRE night. Like from 9pm-2 am which has been around the time frame I’ve gone. I just feel a bit uncomfortable in the locker room. Last time I was in there with a couple of other girls the male staff just comes in, these were all within different hours. I get it it’s night time and they’re just doing their job to keep the facility clean. But perhaps setting a time frame to clean the bathroom would be best?Even after the female lady had cleaned the locker room, the sign came out of no where right as she just left. It raises a slight concern. Overall no big deal but just be mindful is all I ask.

Rick Park: Convenient location, to be sure, but I don't know how many times I have found all of the soap dispensers in the men's locker room empty, which is especially disheartening in a world with Covid and monkey pox. I have mentioned this to the front desk staff and sent emails but it is always the same. There is never a "real" manager onsite (just "regular" staff) so I doubt my concerns have been passed on. Also, I am one of those dinosaurs who enjoys watching TV during cardio, yet the television signal has been non-existent for going on 3 months now. This could be a perfectly fine gym except for these issues and the fact that the front desk staff seems to completely not care about anything brought to their attention and there is never a manager to speak with, either in person or by phone.EDIT AS OF 4/17/23: I don't know if this franchise has changed owners or what, but that have really turned things around here. Gym s always clean, soap always available and a front desk staff that is friendly and attentive and always busy doing something to help the club! I have changed my original rating of 2 stars to 4 stars!

Pixie Rose: Could use a little more open space for free workouts, but the facilities are clean and the machines are in great condition!
Nicholas Yee: Gets way too warm when it's more than just 10 people in the gym. Given the amount of cardio equipment people use, pf needs to lower the temp and ventilate better. Average temp on thermostat is 68F. Staff are generally nice but paper towels and cleaning materials may need to be replenished more often throughout the day/week. It would also be nice to have an expected amount of time given for public notice when broken equipment is being serviced. Pf has multiple locations and response time should be more consistent

James Smapde: Seriously, don't ignore the 1 star reviews, they're all saying the same things, and they have been for a while.This is definitely the worst planet fitness I've ever been to. The water fountain is always broken, the ventilation is bad, and they mask the smell by spraying tons of fragrance. Good luck if you have asthma. Without fail there's always folks camping on the express workout machines and maybe 1/5 of the customers wipe down their machines after use.The staff are nice and there's a ton of equipment, but the place is just kinda gross and mismanaged.
GP#34 Google Censors The Truth - crApple too.: All the shower drains are clogged causing crud to come up from the drains and Engulf your foot and toes causing bacteria to grow like athletes foot and worse. I’m in the process of suing this particular location for purposely leaving their drains clogged To deter people from taking showers after workouts, thereby saving water costs.

I see non members entering the gym, even a homeless guy slid in to take a long shower(can’t blame him). The customary “call the manager” response. Nothing ever gets fixed at this place. The water station. Disgusting!Canceled my membership because of this. It’s really filthy here.

James Davis: The employees here are extremely rude and unprofessional. And just a warning, if you ever want to cancel your membership when you have moved they make it impossibly difficult to do so.
John Cisternino: They frequently don’t open on time, leaving crowds of would-be excercisers waiting in the lobby for unpredictably long periods of time. Apart from that, it’s a good value. But to get up and go to the gym before sunrise just to confront a locked door is very frustrating.Update: I’ve come at the opening time three times this week (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday) and they have not been open ANY of those days. The lost time is a cost you should factor in when contemplating the cost of membership.
Soky Koy: Pretty much the worst gym you could find around here. The staff are slacking off (especially this guy named John) and don’t take their work seriously. The AC is not working properly. Very hot in the summer. Quite difficult to breathe at times with strong bad odors. Equipments are broken and not fixed for a very long time. Paper tissues are empty and not replaced for a while.

Mike Carnivale: I'm a black card member and my "home" gym is East Boston. I tried to go to the Medford location (to use tanning bed) but was told my Black Card doesn't work at that location. I thought that was the main benefit of the Black Card?... I was told by the desk attendant that they don't accept members of other gyms that aren't owned by this gym owner. Lame....

Via Boley: Probably the worst gym I have been to. I moved out of state and tried to cancel but they said I had to go into that location in person to do so. They also said that I could mail in my signature instead of going in person, but that they might not accept it! So when I visited for vacation I went in person to cancel - the woman at the front desk proceeded to announce how many days I had not been there (because I moved) and as I was leaving another associate standing next to her exclaimed “come back when you are ready” rudely. So much for being open and accepting. They then charged me 40$ for canceling despite not mentioning they would charge at all when I came in.

They also only did it because the boss is here which is the was the first time I've ever seen her myself...what kind of boss is that?! Also the treadmills never work and once I almost fell on the stairs while because it was working at first but broke while i was using it therefore,another example of bad business!! But props to workers for reassuring us when the incident with my friend happened and they deserve a raise for the kindness they bring to this gym.

Perfect example of a gym that just wants what you got in your pocket. SCAM. Also basically harassed by the employees. They’re attitude is basically F off when asked anything. Christopher Raponi: The staff are always greeting you with a smile and are always there if you ever need assistance. Clean, friendly staff, great price and awesome atmosphere! It tends to get very busy at night but the mornings are a good time to get the machines I use. Definitely one of the best clubs I’ve been too!

It really set them apart from other gyms in the area and now there’s no options for those of us who need these times. They have changed their hours during Covid to no longer be open 24 hours during the week and they never went back.
Yehonatan Weisskoff: Nice large gym, clean, not crowded. Has all the equipment (except free weight bench presses. They have Smith machines instead). Music isn't too loud. The best bang for your buck that you'll find in a 3 mile radius. Why pay higher prices for other gyms in the area when this one has it all?
Alex DeJesus: Lots of equipment and features such as stair machines, treadmills, water fountains, etc are broken. It’s constantly packed here and the bathrooms are gross. There seems to barely be enough staff to supervise the place and people constantly hog machines, especially the smith machines of which there are only 4 in the whole place. I’m cancelling my membership as soon as I’m done writing this.

Brianna Razzano: I have been coming to this Planet Fitness since 2018. Recently there has been a new staff member who is the manager who is anything but friendly. A few weeks ago I watched her very loudly and openly fire an employee who I have always seen and has always been beyond kind and helpful. It’s wrong to do something like that so open and publicly especially when customers are around. Today I wanted to tan, she made a statement that wasn’t clear so I tried adding a piece of information I felt would be helpful about my membership and she snapped. She was rude and condescending and has been since that day I first saw her fire an employee. Every time I go I hope she isn’t there

Patrick Leonard: I tried this planet fitness out because it was close to work. Usually I go to the dorchester location. What a difference, I don’t know who manages this facility but it definitely is not up to par in terms of cleanliness and replenishment of supplies. The bathroom was filthy and the only water fountain was clogged due to the filter not being changed. I asked the staff to replace the filter 3 times and eventually he gave me a free bottle of water from the fridge.My suggestion would be to get Mike Leonard the manager from Dorchester, to come and straighten this place out. He seems to run a tighter ship and hires good people that care about the clients experience. Thank you

James Fox: It’s solid for planet fitness standards. I will say it has become VERY busy over the past year. Often times the smith machines and weight benches are completely full with multiple people waiting. You will never have an issue waiting to use cardio equipment. All cardio equipment was replaced with brand new equipment this summer.

Kei King: Gym is small for a Planet Fitness and lacks equipment. Why is there only one pull up bar in a gym? Why is there no standard leg press? I use to ride my electric scooter there a few times a week and park it next to a wall in the lobby, charging at an outlet while I workout; a new manager recently started working there and she tells me that I can’t have my scooter there. I’ve been coming here and on the same routine for 2 years. I’m not the only person either. I found this aggravating and at that moment I made her transfer my home gym to the Medford location. Much more equipment, space, and nobody complaining when there’s nothing to complain about.
