LearnSquash: what do users think?
Martin Y.: We don't have enough words to express how grateful we are to have found the LearnSquash weekend Clinics at Windsor School, and to meet Coach Cliff and Coach Szilvia! Our two sons (13 and 15 years old) have been attending the Sunday clinics and also taking semi-private lessons in LearnSquash for more than a year, and we have seen the significant improvement and confidence in their game since then, helping them to stay competitive at the varsity level they are now. Both, Coach Cliff and Coach Szilvia, are very knowledgeable and experienced coaches who know how to connect and communicate with players of all levels and ages. Besides, they are very good at reinforcing the fundamentals of the sport, through a well-structured and organized environment, teaching the students through useful drills and challenging matches. Also, the coaches that they select and recruit to incorporate in the coaching team are high caliber as well.Overall, LearnSquash is a great place to learn and grow in the sport for players of all levels and all ages, managed by excellent Coaches, in very good quality facilities like the ones in Winsor School, and now at their new SquashBusters facility. Thank you very much, Coach Cliff and Coach Szilvia!
JY: My two girls started playing squash at LearnSquash 1 yr ago. Both had not been into sports previously, but grew to like squash very much. Cliff and Szilvi are passionate and nurturing coaches. It is super impressive how much individual attention kids get during the clinic session.
TC: Cliff and Szilvia are effective, highly skilled squash coaches who are also very warm, friendly and excellent with kids, parents, and adult students. The facilities are tip top, with state-of-the-art technology for squash training, but really it comes down to the personnel, who are wonderful.
Tania Cleary: LearnSquash has been fantastic. My child has developed so much as a squash player in this program. Would highly recommend!!!
Elizabeth Kaplan: LearnSquash is a great program. My kids have enjoyed the clinics, lessons and summer camp. The coaches are fantastic and do a great job of teaching kids of all ages and skill in a fun environment. It's been so fun watching my kids develop their skills and enjoy the sport so much. I highly recommend LearnSquash if your child(ren) (or you!) are interested in learning to play squash!
hyejin: My daughter has been taking lessons and clinics for the last two years and always loves to go every weekend. I love the place, too; the great facilities, the wonderful coaches for any level, fun and respectful atmosphere!!! The coaches patiently and passionately work with kids, building their skills, confidence, and the love of the sport. I couldn't be happier with the experience at LearnSquash. Thank you, Coach Cliff, Szilvi, and all the coaches, for your incredible work! Highly recommend “ LearnSquash” for anyone at any level!!!
Jessica Kong: Very nicely organized squash clinics for all levels and all age groups. It’s located at beautiful Winsor School. Coaches are very professional and good at working with kids. My daughter has been going for a year and half.
John Gabrieli: Our daughter has taken several years of lessons with LearnSquash, and both she and we have been really impressed by the program. Coaches Szilvia and Cliff are supportive and skilled teachers, and the program is run very well. We highly recommend this program for players at all levels and ages - it is terrific.
SZK SQUASH: Amazing teacher keep it up
Ayse Gurol Tuncman: Cliff and Szilvia are excellent coaches, who teach while keeping the sport fun and exciting for all ages!
Fran Grodstein: The LearnSquash team is fantastic! They are great with kids of all ages, from elementary school to teenagers. My son has been taking lessons with LearnSquash for several years, and all the instructors are truly great at making sure the kids both learn a lot, and have fun too! It's been amazing to watch my son develop skills and confidence, thanks to LearnSquash!
noelani zervas: Cliff & Szilvi are wonderful coaches and our kids have loved their private lessons. We have worked with many of the coaches and can report that they are all engaging, knowledgable, and most importantly fun! Our beginners are forming a true love for the sport and we have LeanSquash to thank. Looking forward to future clinics and camp.
William Weiskopf: After our first lesson, my three friends and I were hooked. We had a great time and are looking forward to continuing to practice and improve at squash.Cliff was our instructor, he kindly broke everything into its components: holding the racket, swinging, forehand, backhand, boast, and serving. At the end of class we had the opportunity to practice some rallies on our own. All racket and safety equipment was provided, though they ask that you bring non-marking athletic shoes that haven't been worn outside (as a courtesy to keep the courts nice - and the courts are quite nice).Since then, we returned for a second class to broaden our knowledge and get direction on what elements to practice next.I highly recommend the team at LearnSquash!
Brad: My wife and I couldn't be more happy with Cliff and Silvi. They have done such a great job with our girls, and are so easy to work with. We have seen a huge improvement in our daughter who is starting to play more competitively now, and a big part of that improvement is directly from her lessons with Cliff, and their weekend clinics that they have had at the Windsor School.
Nancy Cho: Both our daughters are beginners that started clinics last year and joined summer camp as well. Szilvi and Cliff are awesome coaches! They are incredibly kind, patient, and make squash fun for kids at any level. Our girls are excited to go every week - cannot recommend them highly enough!
Bryn Zeckhauser: Cliff & Szilvi are wonderful coaches and our girls have loved their clinics, private lessons and the summer camp. Importantly, all of the Learn Squash coaches are as amazing teaching beginning players as they are instructing those who are more advanced. We love the beautiful Winsor courts and the squash community Learn Squash has created there.
Santosh Raikar: Both of our daughters attended summer camp this year and our older daughter has been taking Squash lessons for the past four months. Both Szilvi and Cliff are very professional and caring instructors. They both have a great attention to detail when it comes to teaching strokes. They make the game fun while instilling confidence in the students. I would highly recommend LearnSquash for both beginners and players at advanced level.
Jennifer Bardorf: My daughter has been taking lessons and clinics with LearnSquash for a couple of years now. Both Cliff and Szilvia connect well with the kids providing spot-on feedback and instruction on technique and match play. I’ve heard great things about the other coaches as well. Competitively priced and convenient locations. If your child is interested in an introduction to squash or improving their game, I recommend them 100%! (My husband and I have taken some lessons too, so fun!!!)
Annabel Jones: Terrific coaches!
Erica Mayer: The LearnSquash team does an amazing job introducing children and adults to the wonderful world of squash! Clinics, lessons, and camp are fun and engaging, and all students get personal attention and group match play. My daughter has loved working with the LearnSquash team, and has enjoyed more challenging clinics as her skills have progressed. The Winsor facilities are beautiful with easy weekend parking. I cannot recommend LearnSquash highly enough!
Jessica Drislane: Cliff and Szilvi make it easy to learn squash and, if you are already a player, to refine and improve your game. They are wonderful coaches who focus on the fundamental skills necessary to quickly begin playing matches. Their program attracts players of all levels. For anyone considering taking up squash, this is a great place to begin.

Boston Athletic Club: what do users think?
Don Murray: Any update on the reopening timeline? Thanks
Alexander Comforti: Are you ever going to reopen again?
Michael Fenn: When you are you reopening??
Hieu Le: Critical:Communication,ProfessionalismWon’t reopen or attempt to do so safely with everything going on. Cashing in on the PPP loan which you can view online this whole time. My guesstimate is it’ll reopen at the beginning of the year since the loans are expired now.
Liz Holcomb: Why is the club closed? Will it be reopening at some point?
Jeffrey Milinazzo: It's time to open up!
Brielle Curvey: In a year the BAC team has done nothing for members and refuses to update us with any substantive information. I mostly used the club for tennis because of its convenient location - though the tennis accommodations were underwhelming to begin withThe lack of communication and overall unwillingness to even test reopening strategies is extremely disappointing. I will find somewhere else to play, and now that I have a home gym I will never be back.
Ryan Abbott: RE-OPEN! You've had all this time to come up with a safe, effective plan to re-open with limited capacity (even do online bookings!) and sanitation stations. But instead, you cut your community off from a healthy outlet. You will never again see my business!
Rachana Patil: Awesome group exercises and the instructors. Worth it.
Jacqueline Herb: Front desk worker named Nell is super friendly and helpful! Great staff 😉
Cheri Downer: Mmmm? Probably not where I was headed. Sorry google, never been to this place either.
David Godin: Great location, plenty of equipment. Friendly and helpful staff. It has classes, a pool, personal trainers and as many other extra benefits as one could hope for (to include child care). I doubt there's a better gym in the Boston Area. Don't normally rate places, but they had an oddly low rating and felt compelled to speak up for them.
Kelly Fink: Great gym. Has it all. Pool, Jacuzzi, Yoga/Dance/Exercise Classes, Great equipment, Personalized training, on site physical therapy, massage, chiropractor and a hair salon. Childcare available. Locker room and showers are very clean. Steam room, and Sauna. Front desk staff is great. Towel service. Given all of this, you can’t beat the price $79/mth.
Kathy Attardo: Took a water aerobics class w my Mom! I have no idea what it's called but afterwards I realized that these older women are in better shape than me!! This place is the BEST, hands down!
Rob Stan: Helpful knowledgeable staff, trainers, massage, PT, Chiropractor, pool, hot tub, saunas, tennis courts, racquetball, basketball, fitness classes, bikes and machines of all kinds. Take a tour and talk to the staff, not a perfect club and expensive at $70 a month but few can match it, Clean with people of all ages and races you will be welcomed no matter what shape or size you are because they are definitely friendly here.
Ken Yee: Great works out space in South Boston.Biggest negative is the tennis courts are not well lit. A few inexpensive skylights would improve it immensely.
killer winner: I when the there the first time was good but the second time was awesome I when the swimming 🎱 and then I ate 🍕 I loved it
Jason Weeks: Was called racial slur my first week there. It seems like an old boys club, with lots of townie old men. Small section with gym equipment but I was told it's expanding soon. I'm not sure how long I will remain a member.Edit: continued membership, haven't had any problems since. I hope it was an isolated incidence. Most other people have been friendly. Rich is super welcoming and the front desk staff are great. The weight section was expanded to a large room with much more space, while keeping the old area as well.
Kathryn Garbuzinski: The front desk staff are really friendly, there's a variety of equipment and classes, and there's a pool. Definitely no shortage of barbells which is nice. But that's where the benefits end. I'm paying $90/mo to deal with one leg press, people who don't rerack and leave 90lb of plates loaded on the bench, and it looks like a lot of the equipment hasn't been replaced since this place opened. WiFi is spotty at best, showers are gross and old. Tried finding a bar pad for hip thrusts and the only one was old, broken, and just as effective as wrapping a towel around the bar (which I did instead).Outside of equipment, the parking lot is riddled with pot holes, the hours are mediocre at best, and guest passes for members are $20.It has a decent amount of equipment for sure but I've been a member of nicer gyms that cost half this. You're really only paying for location.
tpatrick Meyers: Water Aerobics classes with Lori , Yoga with Terry and Group Exercise with Rhea are great classes. A health club with a lot to offer. The members are encouraging to one another.
William Spencer: Clean place❤

Equinox Sports Club Boston: what do users think?
Christopher Thang: Great place, equipment is always open and it’s clean
Gayle Piraino: BEST massage by Ali! I travel everywhere and get a massage wherever I travel and also when I am at home (every 2-3 weeks).Ali gave me an amazing massage yesterday, she had the right touch and pressure plus a great personality. I left there feeling refreshed and can't wait to book my next massage with her and will make the hour drive to do so!
Omar Albarghouty: Great faculty, swimming pool, showers and locker rooms, and everything else.
prakash garg: It's really great in terms of space, location, cleanliness, staff, and classes.
Guinea P.: Update: I really enjoy the fitness classes here! The trainers always make me feel tired but accomplished.Original: I do not like the app.
Daniel Bergen: Went for a one day trial. Found the place very pretentious, everyone working out seemed very self involved, the front desk staff was unhelpful, didn't even point out where the locker room was, no tour or information whatsoever, classes were absolutely huge with people, steam room was packed to the gills with men in towels, very uncomfortable to sit in, place overall didn't really seem that clean, I think you would find most of the same equipment at a planet fitness for 50 cents a day, there were good looking people so there's that, currently quoting $257 a month and $150 enrollment fee if you don't have a corporate or school affiliation.
Steven Schepanski: I was invited to the gym for the first visit. When I arrived the person who was supposed to do the tour was not there, he did not pick up the phone. The person who did it instead was nice but just did not have the time. I was left alone without any kind of intro to the gym, body analysis, discussions about goals etc. If something like this is advertised and co workers call me for making such explicit arrangements/appointment, I would expect it to happen for the amount of money this gym costs. In total, a lot of empty promises for a lot of money.
S Martin: Buyer beware. It took me weeks to cancel my membership. They made it absolutely impossible. The 'person that cancels memberships' was never in and that was the best they could tell me day after day. I will never trust equinox with my business every again.
Emmanuelle Zeesman: The yoga classes are particularly wonderful. Very clean, great sauna/steam room area, and good shower products.
Robo Cob: Very nice
Johanna Salamone - Love: I wish would have read the reviews before booking a service at what I believed was the Ritz Carlton's Spa. I have always had world class treatment from any Ritz Carlton that we've stayed at. What mistake they made by endorsing the Equinox Sport Club as the spa to represent the Ritz. Terrible, terrible experience at this spa. I called and asked about services that they offered online and they were unaware of all that was online. Poor service from the first phone call to the actual massage. We had to find our own way to the locker room and "waiting area". This was the first time we had ever been there. Again we are used to world class Ritz Carlton service, this was the opposite. When it came time for our couples massage two people came out and took us into different rooms. When I told them I booked a couples massage the response was we can't accommodate a couples massage....just matter of fact, no apology. WHY DIDN'T THEY TELL ME THAT ON THE PHONE! If I wanted a massage I can get that at home. We have busy lives and don't always find the time to relax together, this was time we set aside for each other. When I asked to talk to the club manager they said they would call me. I am still waiting for the call.
Melissa Chang: Overwhelmingly underwhelmed with my experience visiting equinox as part of my stay at the adjacent hotel. The front desk staff were rude and unhelpful, and the morning manager Matt had a bad attitude when asked for standard information. I was told by the staff that they only accepted cash and were unable to process credit card payments to book a squash court, which is insane in 2022 at a supposedly state of the art fitness company. The racquets they had on loan were pretty beat up so I would recommend packing your own if you want to play squash
SZK SQUASH: Fantastic club very clean amazing staff.
Noah Svetna: The gym is fine however the service was terrible. Matthew at the desk is awful. We were let in three times to go to the gym and the third time Matthew did not let us in I would not recommend going to this gym. Or dealing with Matthew. The first three times we went we were asked to have an adult just sign us in but Matthew didn’t let the adult sign us in and kept on stating this is an adults club even though there were many people my age at the gym.
Jody Belues: I wish I read all the negative reviews before coming here. What a waste of money and time. This spa is NOT associated with the Ritz--even though the Ritz promotes them directly on their website. I don't know why. It's the worst place to ever get a massage, with horrible staff that are lazy and incompetent. DO NOT COME HERE if you value your money and massages!
Ken Z Liang: Gym gud. Basketball court gud. Trainers gud.
Aquarius: Compared to other Equinox in the area, this one is the worst.
RexS The Great: It’s a well built gym with tons of different machines for everyone and the staff are friendly. However, they are very bait when it comes to anything related to money. They have initiation fees, pause fees, and even require a 30 day prior notice before cancellation without any notice. The first problem I experienced was when it was during the month of Ramadan, where I had to fast and with work as a student, going to the gym would be impossible. When I requested to have it paused, my account manager said that it wouldn’t be a problem. But without any notice, they just charged me with some amount. After talking to the manager they had it refunded. The second problem I experienced was when I had to focus on my education and wanted to cancel the subscription. I requested the cancellation a week prior and my account manager kept stalling and asking me random questions and when it was finally time for the next month transaction, I was connected to the general manager and was informed that my last day is a month from then. After asking my manager about why there was a transaction even though I asked for it be canceled, I never got a response again. My third problem was when I contacted customer support after 3 weeks because I’ve had midterms and was unable to follow up. I was told over and over again that the club did me a “favor” since cancellation cannot happen until after a year of being a regular. What???? Keep in mind I sent over 4 text messages and 3 emails regarding the situation and the only response I received was “it’ll be affected until __ because there’s 30 day cancellation policy” which was 3 weeks after my first request. As mentioned, very money-grabbing attitudes by the staff, which wasn’t visible in the beginning. As much as I enjoyed the gym atmosphere and my workout routine there, I will not be coming back again due to these problems.
Matthew Carter: Best gym in Boston. It's expensive because it's good.
Daniel Z: By far the worst equinox I’ve ever been in.
Zhyljen Gjorga: I had scheduled an spa appointment for 2 for a birthday a few weeks in advance just to have someone cancel on me in the last minute 45 minutes before. I am so upset and will never be booking a spa appointment here again. It’s extremely unprofessional to wait until the last minute when we were ready to get on the way there. I’d I could give them 0 stars I would, never going back there.
