They have the best selection of frames, at the best prices— you actually get two for the price of one, which is very nice to have if you want to keep a spare or some sunglasses on hand. No in-house optometrist to do the refraction, but they will work with whatever you bring them and make sure it gets done right. Michael can fill most orders in an hour, depending on whether he has the frames and lenses in stock. He also makes adjustments and corrections very quickly on demand. Very satisfied customer.

Chris Balthazard: I had an appointment here for an eye exam, and they appear to have permanently closed the store without notifying me (I showed up and they were closed) and without keeping a record of my previous prescription. the phone line was useless and the national Visionworks said they'd call back within 48 hours - also useless. Don't go here.

Annie Harris: Customer service is fine when physically inside the store, but very poor if you're trying to call or anything else. I went in recently to get a copy of my glasses prescription. The person there wrote the incorrect expiration date on my lenses (she wrote that the prescription was prescribed in March of 2021 which was correct, but that it expired on the very same day in March of 2021. People make mistakes, whatever), so when I took the prescription to buy glasses at another store, the store could not immediately order my glasses. The store reached out to visionworks multiple times for my prescription, with no response. I have tried calling visionworks and have been on hold for over a half hour. Unacceptable. The only reason this isn't 1 star is because the people there are nice.

Marlon dos Santos: Terrible service, just horrific. Employees are clearly lazy and unwilling to help. This branch is the second one I see closing and, if they keep up this type of service, I’m sure I’ll see others ones follow that path. I surely won’t be a customer by then.

When I finally got my glasses, they didn't fit and no one tried to help me make them fit. I had to return and have them fit, and the job was rushed and careless. Also their hours were misprinted online, so they had attitude about having me come in. Would not recommend.

Nadege Francois: I called the Harvard location twice and was on hold for over 30 minutes. I left a message requesting a return call but no one called me back. The Visionworks systems are not connected so I have to go to another location with my prescription, pick the ones I chose if it’s available, and pay for them there. Do not waste your time with the Harvard Square location.

Office and doctor did not keep accurate records of visit information, which led to inaccuracies in prescriptions. Would not recommend.

We don't take 3 glasses just for the service. We will not be returning and we will never recommend this store to anyone. If the service is not good for you, change jobs or leave your problems at home.

I was very impressed in the new technology of taking images of my eye and she took the time to answer all of my questions without rushing the appointment. Overall, I would see her again next year for my annual eye exam.However, when it came down to selecting new frames, I didn’t receive any help from the associates even though I would have appreciated getting some feedback on what would have worked for my prescription and face shape. I stood around waiting for someone to acknowledge me, but not once did anybody ask if I needed help. I finally was asked if I was all set (after 20 minutes of finally deciding on the frame I wanted) and the woman was able to check me out. Luckily, I already knew what lenses to get, otherwise, I feel like she wouldn’t have taken the time to explain to me what lens would be best for me.I just came today to pick up my new glasses, and again, the customer service was sub-par. After telling the associate my full name so she can dispense my glasses, she brought me some other person’s glasses and didn’t even apologize for it. When it came down to dispensing my actual glasses, I wish she took the time to adjust my frames (other than bending down the temple tips), but at that point I just wanted to leave.Overall, I would only come back to see Dr. Wu- Freeman and purchase my glasses elsewhere.

zindagi zia: I met Dr. Dzenana Idrizovic when she started her clinic for my daughter when she was 5 and after that I never been anywhere else . Now my daughter is 15 and I am sitting in her clinic giving the reviews. I guess that explains a lot . All the staff is really friendly and understanding and can’t say enough about Dr Idrizovic how nice she is and she explains everything so well . Highly recommend if you are looking for an expert eye doctor. :)

K Fishman: I should’ve looked at the yelp reviews before coming here.Had a routine eye exam a few months ago for a new rx because my other rx expired.Went here because of the high ratings on google but was very disappointed.The optometrist tried to help me find contacts that wouldn’t irritate my eczema. He gave me a few to try at home but many of them unfortunately didn’t fit/stay in my eyes. Only one brand which is an old brand I used to use worked. Every time I tried the contacts was during the day. Also the optometrist called me 7x at work in a row and wouldn’t leave a voicemail telling me that he would leave these contacts for me at the front desk which was frustrating because it wasn’t urgent. It was disruptive and a voicemail could’ve easily been left.Fast forward to when I get my script and contacts ordered. I rarely use my contacts except maybe 2x/week during the day. I recently used the new script to purchase glasses at warby parker and got the glasses last week to find out driving home at night that the optometrist did not put my astigmatism on the script. So now I’m stuck with $150 (after insurance) worth of contacts with the wrong script and a $300 pair of glasses with the wrong script that I can’t return.I called the office last weds to get a somewhat rude front desk person who was trying to make excuses and avoid taking any responsibility for the issue. Finally at the end of the 10 min or so back and forth he finally agreed to schedule me with the optometrist next week but would call me back.I never got a call back.I would avoid coming here. If my prior rx accounted for an astigmatism you shouldn’t take that off a script. Its now challenging for me to drive at night and I run the risk of possibly crashing my car at night due to inadequate vision. I wish I still had my old glasses to use so I wouldn’t be in this position.Now I have to go find a whole new optometrist and pay full price again for everything let alone take time off to make an eye appointment.

Kimberly: I came here because it was a convenient location but I don't plan to return. The back eye exam area is run down, dingy room and my full exam and lens fitting took no more than 5 minutes...did not feel thorough. The OD seemed like she was half asleep and annoyed to be there. I ordered contact lenses through them which I asked them to ship to my home and they agreed. They didn't ship them to my home and they also didn't call me when they came in so months went by...all while they were sitting in their office.Lastly, the doctor charged me $130 out of pocket for the eye exam and lens fitting when I have insurance and she knew that because we discussed it. I called Eyemed and they said they have no idea what the $130 was for as I have a $10 copay for an exam and $40 for a lens exam; Eyemed tried to call the OD but the number for her is out of service. I called Cohen's several times and the OD is never there and there is no way to leave her a message, they just keep telling you to call back. Also, they give you all "receipts" and your prescription on a scribbled piece of paper and nothing is itemized.(*Edit - I never heard back from Laura below either. I thought they were interesting in rectifying the situation but apparently they just wanted people to think they were.)
