She cuts when I need it as well. OI don't need to go anywhere else because she know my hair and what it can and cannot do. She is 5 star for me.

Spanish speaking only and had to translate through customers who spoke English. No A/C. One giant fan in the middle of the salon. Left very disappointed and upset. I am the least racist person. IDC what race you are. I married a Hawaiian man, My son's God parents are the most amazing Hispanic people in the world. My best friend is black and I don't appreciate the lie. I never ever asked to pay on credit on it at any time. You are thinking of someone else. I know what the fan is for and I understand the chemical smell. The door was wide open and there was no A/C the day I came in. There were so many people. I was guaranteed an appointment and turned away. So before you reply figure out who yours talking about... I would have paid anything and racist I am not! Just because I don't speak Spanish doesn't make me racist. When I made the appointment the person on the phone knew enough English to understand what I wanted and make the appointment. It was when we got there that we were told no one spoke English but the customers. I'm sorry you've mistaken me with someone else, but you did not do me any favors and I don't appreciate the name calling when I made an honest review of my own personal experience there. If any service was performed I'd gladly have paid you, so do not tell me to come in and pay you when you have me clearly mixed up with someone else. At first everything was fine but the third time I went in comments were being made between a stylist and one of the groupies, as I like to call them, about how short my hair was being cut, as if I were the first woman in the world to have a short hair cut. Kyra Brown: i think irene and the girls are so sweet and the shop is nice and clean, but besides that it'd have to be a no go. i went twice, once for a weave and once for a dye job. the weave (between hair purchasing and installment) cost $400, was dyed a completely off color (i wanted ginger, it was bright orange), and caused clumps of my hair to fall out. the dye job seemed alright at first, but when i left the shop the color wasn't my natural color. i should've went back and asked for it to be dyed correctly. i pretty much had to buzz my head both times to salvage my hair.if you have looser hair, go for it. but for kinky or coily natural hair, i wouldn't recommend going here. i really wanted to like this place. again, sweet girls who know what they're doing in some cases but not really with all hair types.

Kimberly Santiago: Booked an appointment for 10 am and no one showed. The stylist got the appointment dates confused. Mistakes happen and I get that. But this was my first time here and it just does not leave a good first impression. It was my only morning off and available time before a trip and booked a week or a little less in advance. Now I will be going on my trip without my hair cut and blow dried like I had hoped.

She had a huge knot right at her scalp that I just could not get out. The girls here we're amazing , Heather took her time with my daughter and her hair came out amazing. She even put some beautiful braids in her hair with pretty red clips. This was my non pay week so i was tight on cash and they worked out a price that i could afford and that i am grateful for. The atmosphere at the salon was very pleasant. It was clean , everyone that worked there was so nice and accommodating ! I will definitely return and recommend this salon .

Olivia Nugent: I went to Avanti to get a hydrofacial with Katie because a lot of my friends had recommended her services. Katie went above and beyond to make my appointment serene and tranquil. My facial was over an hour and Katie was super informative the entire time. She made sure I was relaxed and comfortable with each thing she did. She educated me on my skin type and what products would be good for me without making me feel pressured to get anything. The environment was relaxing and Katie was nothing less than professional the entire time. Leaving the salon, I felt calm and my skin felt like a million bucks. I will be seeing Katie again and would 10/10 recommend going to see her for any of your skin care needs.

Nade Bhola: I showed up as a walk-in, with a hot mess of a rat's nest that I tried bleaching and coloring blue myself. It was GREEN and YELLOW with a band of MILD-blue in the midsection.Rhandy, the owner saw to me herself ❤, she was so kind and sweet and made sure I was comfortable. I was ASTONISHED when she turned me around to see the mirror. My hair was EXACTLY the shade of blue I wanted and consistent throughout😍! It was shiny and felt healthy and NOT at all CRISPY like when I first walked in. I pranced out of her salon like a damn UNICORN through a field of daises. I WILL DEFINITLY BE BACK!!!

BUT HERE I leave feeling like a million bucks every time. Just moved from Hartford to Springfield and found them on Google.... Called and made a 1230 appointment to get my hair washed and blown out I got there at 1210 and I didn't get out of the salon till 4pm my entire day and I has a function to go home and get dressed for made me late...Dominican salons in Hartford your in and out in 2hrs tops especially if you had an appointment..... Never again I will MAKE THE DRIVE TO HARTFORD TO GET MY HAIE DONE!!!!!! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!

She's AMAZING!We arrived in Springfield from out of state for a family celebration, and discovered that one disabled family member hadn't combed her long, beautiful hair in so long that it was just one solid mat hidden under a knit cap. Two of us tried to comb it out for her, but it really wasn't happening. We convinced her that short hair wouldn't be terrible, and went to a salon.That first salon was very nice, and we liked them. They confirmed the hair couldn't be salvaged, but they could do something - just not before the party. They referred us to someone else.The second salon also said we were going to have to cut the hair off very short, and while they could still make it look nice, again - not this afternoon. But the owner went to the trouble to call around for us, and she was wonderful as well. She finally sent us to Jennifer at Chabela's.And here, a miracle: The stylist assured us she could save my sister-in-law's once-gorgeous hair!!They were so very kind and understanding here, too. We left and came back, now after closing time although the shop is still bustling. I'm sitting beside my sister-in-law, who again has long, beautiful curls tumbling down to her mid-back, shiny and clean and perfect.She's just waiting for it to be finished - but the miracle is evident. This stylist is our family's angel today, and she's *fabulous.*If you're still reading this, pleased book an appointment and go support this incredible little salon. They're far more than just a beauty shop.
