The quality has stayed the same, the cupcakes are moist and perfectly balanced both inside and outside, and I couldn't resist but get a set of 6 cupcakes. You won't be disappointed if you are in the area and want something to satisfy your sweet tooth!

We were hoping for decent coffee and some yummy treats but our expectations were blown away! We had iced coffee with a shot of flavor and they were SO good. The coffee itself was such great quality, we are huge coffee lovers and these hit the mark. We got little cupcakes for our kids which they loved. We got their fluffernutter treat which was peanut butter and what tastes like homemade fluff between two peanut butter cookies. I was worried it would be too sweet, it wasn't it was UNREAL. We found the prices very reasonable considering the quality of all the products we had. We cannot wait to go back!

Christina Rivera: I loved queens cups for a very long time until i made an order with them a while back for my baby showerI paid $100.00 for 24 cupcakes and when I got them they looked like cupcakes you could pick up at the grocery store I was extremely upset but took them anyway because I had already paid so much money for them , they didn’t taste the best either the buttercream tasted really weird and they definitely were not fresh we even let them sit to room temperature before eating them,they make such beautiful stuff and to see mine was very upsetting the icing was not the color I wanted either it looked lime green and they didn’t even bother to make them look cute they just slapped some gold sprinkles on and that was it. (We put the signs in the cupcakes to make them look a little better)

It was for my friend’s special day.The icing smelled of egg ( horribly) , way tooo sweet. The cake was very very dry , to an extent that it crumbled while we cut it. I had asked the guys across the counter and he had boasted of the pineapple cakes being very moist!The pineapples were from a can, definitely not fresh. My friend couldn’t even guess the flavor( pineapples being her fav) . Very disappointed!The only reason for 2 stars was the cake appearance and service .Will never be going there again!

Will: What a cute shop with tasty treats. Popped in to check it out with my mom. The owner greeted us warmly while another was busy whipping up some fresh cakes. Smelled amazing in there. The shop is cute and has a floral back drop that is cute for selfies (took a couple with my mom lol). Lots of variety with an emphasis on Latinx flavors. The guava cheesecake was phenomenal and I will be trying the passion fruit version next. The tres leches was very good but the icing was a bit heavy for me. No complaints on the cheese flan 🤤. The portions are large and definitely worth the price, I could only eat about a third of each dessert at a time.

However, just spent over $120 for a multi colored cake. Rock hard jimmies on the outside. Dry cake on the inside. Most of the cake thrown away. Very disappointed. First time spending so much on a cake. I think we'll stick with the cheesecake and brownies. Never again will we spend that much for a cake and be that disappointed.............

Kelsey Haggett: We used the Bean Counter Bakery for our GLUTEN FREE wedding cake! For the style, we wanted something classic and timeless, and they created exactly what we were hoping for. Alice was incredibly easy to work with and made the process simple for us. And then the best part - the cake was absolutely delicious. As someone with celiac disease, I wanted to be able to eat my own wedding cake, and the Bean Counter allowed me to do just that. When our guests saw me eating it, they couldn't believe it was GF, that's how good it was. I would highly recommend using them for a wedding cake! But I have also gone to the Bean Counter plenty for coffee and other GF treats, and it never disappoints.

Maliha Alma Marium: The frosting is too sweet. Not to mention, some of the frosting clearly shows that they are old pastry. Old frosting is sort of like playdoh, so you can understand that they do not take time to throw out old items. The coffee tastes horrible. When Starbucks tastes better than a coffee place, that coffee place is not worth going back to. Also, depending on who makes your hot chocolate the taste will vary drastically. Also, bad customer service and they do not follow instructions.

The service, the coffee, and the pastry’s are all you could ask for. My quiche was amazing and when my hands were full she delightfully carried the desserts I ordered to go to my seat so I could eat it. Skip all the other places and come here you won’t regret it.

Kelcey O'Neil: Betty is simply incredible! Our family is gluten free and we choose On the Rise for every dessert/pastry need. We've placed numerous custom orders and every single one has been creative and delicious. The flavors are spot on and texture (which is difficult to attain for gluten free desserts) is impeccable. Most importantly, everyone at On the Rise is so friendly and easy to work with. Betty's desserts are always as stunningly beautiful as they are tasty. I wouldn't recommend anywhere but On the Rise!

Mama Jama: Poor customer service!I had been wanting to check this place out for some time and yesterday my dad asked me to go in and check it out. Everything looked amazing. Pricey, but everything looked good. I'm all about trying to support small business so I was willing to try it. My daughter ordered an oreo cupcake which was $7.50, a tad bit crazy but it was pretty good and i could see it required quite some time to make so i guess i understand, my dad ordered an eclair, he said he liked it but he didn't think it was worth the $7.50 price tag, I got the chocolate chip cookie dough something... lol, i thought it was pretty good, but then again, mine was only $4.My issue was when I ordered the raspberry elephant ear and the lady gave me the wrong item and then tried to tell me I didn't ask for what I asked for and then wasn't trying to give me the correct item. The elephant ear was put Into a paper bag, so I couldn't see what i was given, I only took it out a little bit, just enough to bite it because it's sugary and flaky and I was trying to avoid making a mess. I took one bite and then asked my daughter if she wanted a bite, she wanted to see it so I went to take it out the bag and that was when I noticed the lady gave me the wrong item, we were still standing in the restaurant at this time. Immediately I told the lady that she gave me the wrong item and she tried to tell me that I didn't order what I ordered and said she wouldn't give me the correct item because I had taken a bite out of it. I'm not one who likes to have someone try to talk to me like I don't know what I'm talking about. I know what I ordered. Luckily there was another lady there, although she wasn't trying to fix the situation or happy about it, she did Eventually. If the customer service was better I would have given a 5 star review even though we weren't wowed for the prices. I would have given a 1 star if they didn't fix the situation. We probably won't be back, Especially not with the workers that were there yesterday.

It was one of the best cakes we've ever had, and the raspberry mousse filling was sublime! The cake itself had delicious flavor and was moist.We didn't sit and stay in the cafe when we picked up the cake, but we would definitely go back to hang out there. It was spacious and clean.I also got an eclair for my husband when I picked up the cake. He said it was delicious!I would 100% get a cake from Bean Counter in the future.

I felt badly for her that she was working by herself at the front counter while the boss and others were walking back and forth, not even trying to give her a hand.I also asked about the ingredients in a particular vegan dessert, asking about the cream, and was told by the boss that it is vegan based. Ingredients should be listed on the labels of the wrapped desserts. Telling me it was a vegan based cream is not the correct response. I will not go back again.

Bev Peña: We love all the baked goods we have tried. We're fairly new to Worcester and we consider ourselves food/bakery connoisseurs. We were so happy to find the local The Bean Counter. I have dropped in several times in the morning or later in the day to grab dessert for after dinner. BUT, this morning was my last attempt. I walk in, it's not busy in the morning which is a plus. The employees see me and then ignore me for almost 10 minutes each time. Nobody in front of me, or maybe 1 person ahead of me. There's always 2 people working, one will be preparing a beverage. This has happened 2 other times. Last evening, we decided to get dessert from Bean Counter, we checked the hours and saw that they close at 6pm on Sundays. We got there at 5pm, 2 other customers there as well. It was dark and door locked. There was a girl behind the counter mouthed "sorry". I am so disappointed. Acknowledge customers, if there are 2 or 3 in line, take orders and then go do your thing. Time to find a new place

Force410: Bean Counter Bakery is our go-to for all delicious celebratory needs! Founder and owner Alice Lombardi takes pride in what she does, and it shows in the final products. We have never had a cake or cupcakes we did not thoroughly love and devour from her or her team at Bean Counter Bakery!Most recently, I ordered two custom cakes and cupcakes from them for my wife's surprise 30th birthday party. The goal was to have the sides of the cake look like my wife's childhood bedroom's wallpaper. Alice prioritized me with multiple phone calls to outline the pricing, review what is possible and what is not possible, and ensure our visions of what we wanted aligned. It was difficult because usually there is an in person consultation, but because of how far away I currently live (the party was being hosted in MA since my family lives there though), we could not do an in person consultation. Despite this, Alice worked with me (multiple times) by phone to ensure the cakes were exactly what I hoped for.And boy did she deliver! The sides of the cakes were immediately recognizable from my wife's old childhood bedroom, and the cake toppers were nicely done with printed photos of my wife as a newborn and on her actual 30th birthday pasted with white chocolate onto a mold of fondant for the topper. Unfortunately, the printer for printing the photos on the cake broke just the day before, so this was not possible, but Alice quickly called to inform me, and pivoted with the above idea at no additional charge!The cakes were spectacular, matching exactly what I had envisioned aside from the lack of printed photos on the cake (again, not within anyone's control as the printer broke just before the day of the party). The words written on the cake were delivered just as promised to celebrate my wife's big day, and the toppers were placed nicely to display her photos prominently. Alice even went the extra step to add clouds to the borders of the top of the cake at no extra charge since the printer broke!The sides of the cake were absolutely beautiful, and truly highlights the work that her and her team do at Bean Counter Bakery. Again, they matched the wallpaper from my wife's childhood bedroom, with ornate details including the phenomenal watercolor effect done with frosting, the fluffy buttercream clouds and swirls, and the beautiful faces of the sun and moon from the wallpaper! The faces were all done with buttercream too - no fondant! - and came out so accurately (not cartoonish at all in my opinion!).Plus, of course, the carrot and red velvet cakes were delicious!! The red velvet is uniquely its own creation at Bean Counter Bakery, and the carrot cake was nailed - two favorites of my wife's! Furthermore, all of this was done in a timely manner - all set and ready to go for pick up before the surprise birthday party.Everyone at the party, and most of all my wife, was impressed with the cakes. Even the staff at the venue were asking where the cake was from so they could take note and order from Bean Counter Bakery in the future.And I almost forgot to mention the cupcakes - WOW! To have such heaping gobs of edible cookie dough on top of these cupcakes was amazing. They should truly be a regular flavor offered at Bean Counter. Everyone was RAVING about the cupcakes thanks to that heap of edible cookie dough on top. We would definitely purchase these again should they be available.Overall, I would recommend Bean Counter Bakery every time asked about which bakery to go to for all cake/cupcake needs. The cost is reasonable (higher of course with custom orders and with more details and colors needed) given the quality of the products you receive.Alice and her team are outstanding, and please go check them out at their flagship site on Grove St in Worcester if you haven't already. They even have other baked goods and coffee there for a relaxing way to start your day. They informed me that this would incur a rush fee, but it took days for them to respond to me to tell me how much that would be and they never actually quoted me an entire price until the day before I was scheduled to pick it up (which was $80). They also did not communicate that if they don't receive payment right away they will cancel your order. They had sent me a link through paypal to my email which I did not see until this morning because I had been working all day. Since they only sent the invoice yesterday and the cake was due today, they canceled my order. They did not attempt to reach out via phone or text and just emailed me this morning to tell me my order was canceled.I understand they are short-staffed, but I also run a business, and communication with customers is key to satisfaction. I will not be using their services again. Very poorly run.

Brenda Sieng: The website states the open times for walk in and I drive 45 mins to their place and it was close on a Wednesday at 2pm when it states it’s open. I have messaged twice for a quote and was told they confirm orders on Monday and Tuesdays and I have heard nothing back. I wasted my time, and looking at the previous reviews, it isn’t great either.

Sabrina Moore: THE BEST! Everything Jen makes is the absolute best. So yeah it's allergen free but literally the flavors and textures are so spot on. Jen is the most hardworking woman I know and she puts out the tastiest treats. Go grab some for yourself asap!

Sarah Forte: I feel sad writing this but first of all I was waiting for 10 minutes at her store and then she finally showed up. I was so excited as I am gluten free and since it said gourmet bakery I literally went out of my way to buy stuff. I bought 3 different things. As the cupcakes looked good they were so dry and she said that one of them was freshly made, which is highly concerning. I bake a lot and I can tell you the stuff she gave me was probably 2 weeks old or not packaged right. I’ve never had worse baked goods and I’ve been eating gluten free from before there were any options and you only had coconut flour. So that’s saying alot.

##: First of all I like how this place is allergy free from 9 allergens, but I don’t see why there is such a high rating, for one the communication on her part SUCKED! I was the one that had to keep writing to her to make sure I got a cake for the date I wanted, also she tells me the week before I’m suppose to get the cake that she doesn’t do 3D cakes and only puts toys on the cake, if I would have known that I would have made the cake myself or I would have gone elsewhere. It came down to the whole cake look, which was so ugly, the theme of my sons party didn’t even match the cake… I get the concept of the cake design but it was horrible, now the taste of the cake was DISGUSTING!! I like oatmeal and it tasted a little like oatmeal but very grainy and it was very very thick! Yuck! To me it seemed like the cake was rushed and not much thought or care was put into it. Very disappointed! Never again!

Suzanne Wigen: I was freaking out trying to find some dairy sensitive desserts for a friends dinner party. I asked my husband if he could make something and I could see the fear in his eyes!! I was hoping I didnt have to travel far to find someplace and found Jennifer Lee's Gourmet Bakery on Cambridge Street! The gentlemen working there was super helpful and my friend Shelley LOVED everything- especially the truffle desserts. Woo hoo! Thanks Jennifer Lee.

Ben Wasserman: It takes the right person to like this bakery sweet place. If u are vegan, check it out. Might be for you! But I would avoid the cinnamon roll. Hard to make a good vegan cinn roll.

Shahnaj Ullah: I'm unsure what everyone is raving about here. I picked up a mystery box today and was incredibly disappointed. The donuts and brownie had a 'sponge cake' texture. The pretzel was dense and crumbly. The cannoli shell was hard and its filling lacked any creaminess whatsoever (it seemed to be pure icing sugar). The blueberry bread was the only decent item I tried, though pretty mediocre when compared to a typical homemade banana bread. All the items had a 'cheap' taste.I know this is an allergen free bakery, but I really think these recipes need to be reformulated. I've had much better allergen-free baked goods before. If you're a vegan (but not celiac) then I highly recommend checking out Whole Foods bakery section.All the best to Jennifer Lee's Bakery, I really hope it can improve. I love supporting vegan businesses but this place totally missed the mark.

Ashley Turner: A very dear friend of mine had a mystery bag delivered to my door step during a pretty trying time. My husband and I lost our aunt this week and I've been diagnosed with a gluten allergy on top of that. I couldn't believe how amazing these treats are!!! So far we've had a bunny cookie and a donut. I'm saving the blondie for as long as I can :) Thank you to whomever made the trek to my neck of the woods in Halifax to drop this lovely surprise at my doorstep. We will for sure be visiting your bakery in person!!! 3
