Chris MacDonald: Update - It has been 18 months since I had the surgery. I continue to stand by my statements about the quality of Dr. Handsman's work and the staff in the office. However, I would warn clients to make sure you read your "Payment Agreement" very carefully. After my final cleaning about a year ago, I was told I needed to make another appointment for a year later to check on how things were holding up. They led me over to the counter and I made the appointment. However, they did not mention that this appointment, which just involved a literal "check," was not included in the care plan. In addition to paying almost $9000 in cash for the original surgery, I ended up paying an addition $144 for a "check" that did not need to happen. Perhaps this was my own fault for not checking the care plan closely enough and counting the number of appointments I had attended, but I would say that they were unclear and could have "reminded" me that it was not included in the plan. That at least would have provided me with a choice.I have had a lifelong fear of dentists in general, so when I learned I was going to require extensive gum grafting surgery, I was both devastated and petrified. I put it off for over a year, but I finally took the advice of a friend, a dental hygienist, who strongly recommended consulting with Dr. Handsman. I can honestly say that every step of the process was made easier and less frightening by Dr. Handsman and his staff. From the initial consultation to my final cleaning, the process was smooth and handled with sensitivity. They recognized and addressed my fears and did everything in their power to make sure I was comfortable. Every staff member was professional yet personable. They even have massage chairs! The hygienist who did my final cleaning applied a numbing agent for the cleaning and told me that any hygienist in any dentist's office should be able to do the same thing so that the cleaning can be done thoroughly and painlessly - no hygienist in my life had ever offered that as a solution to my reluctance! The gum grafts healed perfectly and look fantastic, not to mention they will improve my long-term dental health. I cannot say that I will ever love visiting the dentist, but if I ever need a periodontal procedure again I will definitely go to Dr. Handsman. I will recommend him to my friends and family as well.

Flick Coleman: I have been very satisfied with the work that Dr David Handsman has done preparing me for three different, and quite difficult, implants. He is extremely careful and doesn't allow the implant to be inserted until he is absolutely certain that all of his work has healed and that the bone is strong enough to withstand the implant. The surgery he just approved for the implant was complicated by missing bone, and he was able to get new bone growth to begin, and an extended period of waiting for sufficient new growth to take place.The last two regions he has worked on have occurred during the Covid-19 period, so I want to mention how clean he and his staff have kept their facility. I have always felt safe in his office.I feel fortunate to have been recommended to Dr Handsman. and really cannot think of enough good things to say say about him, or the members of his staff.

emma snow: I got 4 wisdom teeth removed here. First of all, he stitched my inner cheek to my gums, leaving me in large amounts of pain until the sutures finally dissolved. Then, when I developed an infection in my lower left extraction site, he stuck a prong into the hole from the infection without warning me what he was doing or how bad it was going to hurt. I cried while he drained the infection and the only person who showed any remorse was his lovely assistant who consoled me the entire time. He was not gentle whatsoever and when I continued to cry after he was finished and he seemed to only want to get me out of the office. I'm no dentist so I don't know if either of these things are a common practice but I wish he would have at least explained these things to me before I was put in excruciating amounts of pain. Horrible bedside manner.

Jennifer Joubert: Awful. I brought my girlfriend here to get her wisdom teeth out. She was nervous about the needles. Dr Kelly went to give her the iv. Grabbed her arm and she asked him to let go for a minute so she could calm herself. He said no. I told him to let go. He said no and when she tried to pull away he clamped down on her arm, leaving bruises. Awful experience. No bedside manner at all. I would advise him to switch careers and not work with living beings. He is easily the most insensitive doctors I have ever seen. I would not recommend him for anyone who is even slightly nervous for surgery. I would also not recommend him for anyone who expects to be treated with respect. He needs to be taught the words "no" and "stop".

Colby: EDIT: "We make every effort to accommodate our patients' schedules" is not true at all. They only offer to put you on a cancelation list which is 0 help to you if you already lined up a crown appointment within a several days of your root canal--Both of my root canal appointments did not finish during the time they booked me. The first time, I had to wait 2 weeks to go back to finish the procedure. The second time, I had to wait 4 weeks to go back to finish. Both times I had to reschedule my crown appointment so I ended up being without a tooth for 2 months this year AND last year.The office manager does not care at all and wont even try to move around appointments to get you in sooner to finish the service you already paid for (they charge you up front).The dentists themselves do a good job, im happy they take their time. The office workers need to learn how to schedule and manage appointments. I'm definitely not going to be giving these people any more of my money!

Sonya Brock: Just had a tooth pulled yesterday as part of an implant procedure. Dr. Gill and the hygienists were incredible, friendly and the procedure could not have gone better. I've had bad experiences so I have a lot of dental anxiety; they walked me through each step, helped me get comfortable and it was over before I knew it. IV was painless and I had no swelling and very minimal soreness for about an hour after the novocaine wore off. I only needed one round of pain pills and I'm feeling great. Dr. Gill made a phone call the day of my surgery to check on me. Definitely recommend.

Rhyannonn Hobbs: The nurse was a sweetheart. The receptionist did a great job helping make sure I got as much done before the appointment as possible. But the doctor was terrible. He blamed me for not getting my wisdom teeth out sooner, sorry something that didn't cause pain when we didn't have insurance wasn't a priority. He was dismissive of the questions I did have and just kept running through his little speech. Terrible bedside manner. He made faces at me when I said I was only in the state for a week, when I had TRIED to get everything set up over the phone so it WOULD work to fit in the time frame.

My daughter had to have teeth extracted and they immediately made her feel at ease, letting her watch a movie, etc and I’m grateful she won’t have a fear of getting dental procedures done bc of her experience here, as well as at her pediatric dentist. Also, the front desk staff is excellent, especially Kara, who goes above and beyond on everything I’ve asked for her assistance on. She’s definitely an asset to this practice. Ryan Angelo: Nice people and caring, but the billing and the way they deal with insurance is completely backwards. They estimate what you will owe from your deductible and make you pay that, then refund you back what actually gets paid by insurance. Never had to do with any other doctor, even another oral surgeon. So now I am out $468, and have to wait for insurance and I will probabaky end up getting $300 back after. Just crazy!!! Be aware before you decide to use them.

I was also told that they double booked appointments and could not be squeezed in due to this. My appointment was made on the 8th of November for December 18th. I had to schedule a appointment somewhere else to be seen. So please don't waste your time with this place as I have. It was not worth it in the end. Gentle Dental has an oral surgeon who doesn't double book.

Dr. Kim explained the situation and recommends a consult with an Endocrinologist. I was concerned of course and made an appointment with a specialist. Dr. Albert Kim is an easy doctor to speak with and found him to be concerned for my well being.

This was just a consult so it was very quick but they were able to get me in with the surgeon this Friday which is amazing!! I’m definitely looking forward to getting my smile back with them.

My top choice was simply too expensive.I ultimately chose New England Dental Group because of the people there. I felt very comfortable with Drs. Oswal and Gammas. Also, the staff, both medical and front desk, were very friendly. The offices at NEDG were not the prettiest, but I chose them because I felt comfortable there.

The staff at Dental Team (Worcester) not only did wonders for my teeth and mouth health in general, they tailored the procedures to the needs of my particular case. After several visits, 5 extractions, 5 crowns and 2 partials, they not only fixed my teeth, they restored my confidence both professionaly and personally. To say I'm grateful would be an understatement. Their personal approach and passion for dentistry as more than a cosmetic correction but a 'living artform' offered me an experience that supported, understood and addressed all my concerns through every one of the procedures! The team accommodated my personal needs and reinstalled my faith in the dentistry industry generally. Dentisry is not a privilege but a necessity! It allows a 'quality of life' immeasurable and often underestimated by health insurance institutes. Particularly as you age or have adverse conditions which effect your teeth, no matter how hard you try to 'maintain' dental health! Rachel Corbett: After 10 years of severe anxiety over dentists and avoiding it, Dr. Singer was able to make me feel comfortable and get work done. He has a great confident attitude. Really able to chit chat and make me feel comfortable. He has pulled 3 teeth (2 wisdom and one bad tooth) for me. The first visit was the bad tooth causing me pain. He talked to me, assured me things would be easy and great, went at my pace. Once I was comfortable, we went forward with the extraction. He talked me through it and it was done in no time. Today was my second visit and my anxiety was minimal because I knew he was going to do a good job and get it done quickly. It was another amazing visit! I highly recommend Dr Singer as an Oral Surgeon. Everyone at Dental Team of Worcester has been great! I go in for more work with another member of their staff next month and I'm actually looking forward to the experience and getting my teeth back in shape.

Not only did I have a poor experience today, was left in tears and treated rudely by the Dentist alone, 2 other people had similar experiences at the same time. Today was not his day and he was a rude man. I am very grateful for the wonderful girl who assisted me today and that man, if not for her I wouldn't have made it through.

Barbie: This is the best place in Worcester to get your wisdom teeth extracted. I have just gotten the second one done today and once again, it was easy and painless. I adore the staff too.Not every small practice has good staff, believe it or not. Some places have receptionists and PAs with horrendous communication and social skills so its become important to me to find a place with those traits regardless of how good the provider is.Also, Dr. Blinder is good at assuaging fears as well so if you're afraid of the dentist, don't be afraid to come here.
